It's nice that you can choose how much you want to put in and they charge by weight! It does build up fast so be careful. The ingredients seemed pretty decent quality and overall I liked it. The Malatang was flavorful and very spicy. I got level 3 next time I should get level 2.It has a light numbing bit to me the perfect amount. Mala fried rice was pretty decent too! It also has the light numbing

Went here for the first time with a few friends to try this style of Hotpot, and was very pleased with the food here! The Food: I went with the dry hotpot, the Rose Mala Xiang Guo. After adding in all my toppings and proteins in the bowl, I had them weigh it and cook it. The Rose Mala sauce was absolutely delicious! Especially with the heat level of my choice. I went with level two, just to enjoy it a bit more. But everything was cooked nicely and it was just the way I wanted it, because I got to choose my toppings. The Service: Service was good. Was greeted upon entering and the staff were friendly. The food came out fast as well, so no long wait times here. The Atmosphere: Nice and spacious restaurant. Clean and well Organized when selecting your toppingsOverall, a 5/5. Food was delicious here. Definitely worth a try. Just a little pricey in my opinion.

Sorimmara hits the spot! I have dined here a handful of times and have enjoyed each visit. My friends and I love ordering the rose mala tteokbokki and the pork guobaorou, but it is the malatang cravings that keep us wanting to return ASAP. They have a wide variety of self-served toppings which are consistently fresh and delectable. This restaurant makes a great spot for dining with friends with its bright, clean and casual interior. The team is also very welcoming. Overall, a delicious and comforting spot! Will be back soon.

It's get really busy on the weekends. It took them about 15-20 min to come out. It's really steamy in there because of the soup. It's great for up to 4People and with friends. You get to choose what ingredients into your hot pot or dry pot. Then, they weigh the food to determine the cost. You choose the mala sauce & a spice level of 1-5. Lastly, you make your own dipping sauce. Tip: don't wear white. Trust me you don't want splatter stains on you. 1 pot/1 lb is enough for 2 people. It was about &16.99-20.00

I've been here a couple of times when I crave malatang and I'm always satisfied with what I get! Customers can choose which ingredients to add and the broth. I tried the dry version this time with the rose and jjajang and both were delicious. I love their sauce bar and side dishes available as well. The environment is always on the chiller side.

You can grab a bowl and start choosing the ingredients and meats for your malatang! It's a casual setting inside. Pork Guobaorou 10/10- lightly fried and has a nice crunch- highly recommend trying this! Mala Mayo Fried Rice 7/10- hmm, I only had a bite, but nothing too different from regular fried rice- thought it would have more spice to it Malatang 6.8/10- self serving area for veggies and meat- went with a friend who had a lower spice tolerance so we went with medium which is similar to shin ramen spice - it seems like they just heated it and added the soup in and threw in our ingredients without cooking it in the soup? - hard to judge since I like mine spicier, but overall wasn't to my tasteService was okay -- it felt awkward because the workers were noticeably staring at us and watching us eat several times lol.

Huge fan of this place! Been there 4x since they opened and each time, the food was amazing! My favorite thing on the menu is the rose tteokbokki! Super flavorful, I try to order this each and every time. What struck out is that they are very cautious surrounding peanut allergies!

Food: you pick your items that you want from meats to veggies to noodles! There's plenty of options to select from and you can add as much as you would like. You then select your base, which I went for the malatang option. Once you weigh your food, you'll receive a number for your meal. The food came out fairly fast. For the most part, I enjoy my meal. Everything was fairly cooked except for some of the veggies & misc items like I got Chinese donut with my meal & that was not cooked at all (frozen) which was a disappointment. The one thing I enjoy the most was the cheese rice cake! I've never had this and it was such an interesting thing to try. I like how there's a sauce bar & pickled radish & kimchi that you can get while waiting for your meal. There's not a lot of options but a decent amount to select from. I mainly got the peanut sauce and added a different toppings to my heart desire Overall I think the food was good! Personally I would go to ayce hotpot if I wanna starving to get my moneys worth but this is a good place to eat if you're not too hungry & still want dry mala or soup based mala! There's parking outside & indoor seating. There's also other options on the menu for those that are not looking to eat Mala such as rice dishes.

One of my favorite places for malatang and definitely worth the drive from Md to va. They have a variety of fresh veggies and meats you can choose for your soup. The vegetables looked fresh and I could see them refilling the bins even though it was close to closing time as it was decently busy. The staff was great at answering questions and giving recommendations. We started off with the black bean tteokbokki and mala fried rice while we waited for the malatang to be made. Both portions were quite generous and filled us up. This was my first time trying jjanjang tteokbokki and I can't believe I was missing out on such an amazing dish. I would make the drive just for this dish alone. The sauce wasn't too spicy and the flavors were balanced. There was a good mix of rice cakes, fish cakes and sausages. We ordered the rose and regular malatang in the medium level. Both dishes were delicious and still had a good spice level. The rose was creamy goodness while the malatang was more soupy. I would definitely get both again.

I really liked the mala tang hotpot here! The medium spice mala soup was perfect - not too spicy but with a kick that went well with my noods and meats. They had a variety of veggie, fish cake, meat, and noodle options to add into your hotpot. You pay by pound ($18/lb) so this spot is perf for when you don't want ayce :) I def will be back to try their dry pot!
