Sora Ethiopian Market

I've ordered Veggie combo and lamb tibs infinite times from uber eats delivery! So good! I like the yebeg tibs better than the yebeg awaze tibs, both are lamb tibs but the first one is less spicy and less of the red tomato paste.

Pleasantly surprised. Got the veggie combo and thoroughly enjoyed it. Prices are great too! Seems like a great hole in the wall. Was a bit worried because I went in around 6pm and expected to see customers for a dinner rush. The place was instead empty. Took a bit to talk to someone who worked there and knew the orders, but nothing crazy. They were out of something and gave a suggestion on what to replace it with. I got there 30 minutes after I placed my online order and it felt like she waited until I got there to start the order (maybe because they were out of one of the dishes). Overall good and I will be back!

Please package the injera separately as when you include it together with the food it gets mushy by the time it arrives.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food but the owner made my experience the best. The food was amazing. The restaurant was nice, clean, and spacious!! The parking lot was not very big and the red is in a shopping center so that was not that good but we did find parking. The food was great. Good flavor, plenty of food to have extras.

This place is extremely out of the way and tucked away in a hidden spot, but the quiet demeanor hides a quiet cafe filled with Ethiopian goodness and a nice cake option to boot. The easy parking lot option made it incredibly accessible by car.Menu is extremely simple and very reasonably priced. I ordered the Zil-zil tibs and had a carrot cake to munch on as I ran my errands. Both were pretty grand. The tibs were fantastically juicy and the dipping sauce complemented it very well with a nice kick. Cake was not too sweet (in a good way) and was subtle in a way I enjoy my desserts (akin to south-east asian baked goods).Overall, very pleased with this spot. Absolutely try this if you're in the area!

Secret gem location for Ethiopian home cooking restaurant. Owner is very kind and friendly and it's local gem for people who lives close by. Price is very fair and portions are great!

Not sure what happened with Sora, but there is definitely no quality control here.I remember liking their Goden Tibs in prior dining experiences, so I was pretty excited to introduce this place to a dear friend as we met here for lunch.Unfortunately, what the menu stated, how it was usually presented, and what we actually received were all different things. On their menu, the description under 'Goden Tibs' was: 'Prime Short Ribs and Prime Short Ribs and Tender Beef cubed sautéed with onions, fresh garlic, tomato, jalapeno, and homemade seasoning. Served with Injera or Rice and side Veggies of the day' - this was definitely not what was received - a beef rib was presented, in which the exterior seemed to have been cooked; again, I was a bit surprised because in our prior orders, the meat was in cube form in which you can easily scoop with the injera (as also stated on their menu). When cutting into the rib, the exterior was not tender but extremely tough, and the inside was RAW RAW RAW. Like, still moving raw. Not 'I-like-it-super-rare-raw' but "this-beef-rib-was-just-seared-in-super-high-temperature-and-it-didn't-cook-anything-at-all-raw'. I presented it to the server, who looked confused, who then relayed it to the person who prepared the meal; the person who prepared it came out and didn't understand what the issue was - she asked what I wanted her to do, and I responded with 'for this to be actually cooked?'When I received the rib back, she must have deep-fried the whole thing or something because the exterior was now burnt to a crisp, and the meat itself was crumbly and super tough. You know, inedible.Also, there was no inquiry about whether we would have liked rice or the injera, and there was no explanation of what the 'veggies of the day' was - we automatically received a salad with dressing and injera.Super disappointed, and I couldn't believe the staff didn't see anything wrong with this whole situation.No dice, Sora. Tsk tsk.+no quality control in meat preparation+inaccurate menu description+inaccurate meal preparation+unhelpful staff

What a gem. The food is scrumptious, the servers are super nice, and the place is nice and clean. I'll definitely be back.

Went on a Monday evening for dinner and was highly disappointed. As an Ethiopian I like to try out different spots in the area so I can support and recommend when asked. This place was definitely empty when we arrived and that already put a bad taste in my mouth but I decided to give it a try. I ordered the miser which was sweet and if u know what miser truly taste like it's not sweet! Also got the beg awaze tibs which was okay but very oily and the meat was tough the sauce was somewhat tasty. Also tried the quanta fir fir and that was not good. Tasted like they just microwaved everything. I should've trusted my gut and turned back out when I noticed it was empty, but I just wanted to share my experience because I definitely would not recommend this restaurant! The service was good the two ladies were stil rushing us to order when it was empty which made no sense but they were kind.

Little hidden gem on the side of the road! I've passed this place many times but have never been but I'm super glad my usual place had a power outage so I could explore other Ethiopian places. I like how their menu was super simple and reasonably priced. We got the 8 item Veggie Combo and I was able to swap out something I didn't like for something I did. The waiter was really nice and friendly and told me I can swap out anything I want! It was a great deal. He also gave us great recommendations for the meat options because they were out of Goden Tibs. I definitely have to go back and try their other things. I loved everything in the veggie combo! Service was fast. Parking lot on the side. Great meal!
