What a hidden gem in Fairfax! I am always on the quest to find restaurants that remind me of Chicago and this was right up my alley. They don't take reservations, but we went Saturday at 6 PM and had no problem getting a spot at the bar.Wasn't cheap but we also had 2 drinks each and didn't hold back on ordering. We plan on going back and trying some more menu items, but everything was delicious including the sushi and drinks. See photos.

Met some friends for a weekday lunch. This place has been on our list for a while. We got there at opening. The restaurant is small so be sure to grab a table in the back. Our party of 4 ordered off the KH ch menu. The lunch portions come with a spring roll. We also ordered soup ala carte. The food was delicious. The soup was hot and they brought out a giant platter of those crunchy won tons. A couple of us ordered the moo shu dish. It came with 3 fresh made pancakes. The moo shu sauce is already mixed into the dish. I'm not used to that because I do like my veggies and protein without the sauce. The spring roll was hot and stuffed with plenty of cabbage.Service was good. Our table was a bit cramped for our group. They have a bar area to sit at as well as long tables for bigger parties.

We came with a party of 4 and just had to wait for 15 mins so it wasn't too bad. Decided to try some of the dishes recommended by other Yelpers and it didn't disappoint. I will say the crispy beef was just a tad over cooked and became a tad too chewy and hard, but it was still very flavorful. My favorite dish was probably the whole flounder. Also ordered Mapo Tofu and Penang curry. Keep in mind, rice is unlimited so don't forget those refillsMy favorite thing about the place was actually the vibes. Loved the chill music and the decorations in the restaurant.I def need to come back for other dishes

First time visiting here. We were in the area for our anniversary outing and after looking up places on Yelp, decided to give here a try. It was around 3pm on a Thursday, their lunch specials had just ended at 3pm. Not many tables so it was kinda busy. The guy at the front took a while to greet us and asked if we wanted to sit at the bar but we said no, we prefer a booth so he said he would need to clean one which also took a little while. The food was not what we were expecting at all. We had their "famous" General Tso's chicken, shrimp fried rice and Singapore noodles with beef, shrimp and chicken. I'm not sure why the General Tso's is called famous because it was just ok and most of the pieces were small and did not look like all white meat. We're from MD so maybe we're just used to a better tasting and appearing meals. The best part of the meal was the shrimp fried rice. The Singapore noodles were the blandest I have ever tasted in my life, no seasoning whatsoever. I wanted sushi but the waiter told me there was no one to make the sushi that day. My husband ordered a Long Island Iced Tea that came in the smallest glass, filled with ice which was wayyyy overpriced for $17 each. The waiter barely came back to check on us but seemed to be occupied with 2 ladies sitting at the bar. We had to ask for refills and boxes multiple times. If you want great food and drinks for only a fraction of the price, save yourself the time and money and go to Coastal Flats right down the street (we went there for dinner, 10,000 times better than here!!!)

It was a freezing Friday when we came in for an early dinner, about 5pmish after a long day of errands. Having no prior knowledge of this place, it sits unassuming in a plaza with other casual eats, which made for a nice surprise when you walk in. Dark, vibrant colors, beautiful plants, and tasteful decor throughout. We were seated in a comfortable booth across from the bar and sushi station, with soft music playing in the background and a perfectly warm temperature. We ordered a variety of dishes to share: green tea, a Yin-Yang highball, shrimp tempura sushi, tots, wings, and sesame chicken. Every dish was delicious, but the sushi stood out with the perfect "crunch". The cocktail menu was filled with unique and intriguing options, sparking our curiosity to return and try them all.Overall we had a fabulous experience and strongly recommend; we look forward to returning.

Loooove the Chinese decor in here!! Beautifully designed mixing traditional and modern styles. I can definitely see this being a fun bar for drinks at night with the disco ball. We came on a weekday lunch, and it was pretty slow. Our server was so attentive, friendly, and helpful! She helped with suggestions and checked on us often. We got the Sticky Crispy Beef with celery, carrots, and Szechuan chili and Moo Shu Pork with cabbage, wood ear, mushroom, egg, bamboo shoots, and Chun Bing Pancakes on the side. Both were delicious and had lot of flavor and texture. Pretty generous portion too so that justified the pricing more.Would come back for other things and maybe a night for the cocktails!

I've been meaning to try this place for quite some time and I finally tried it this weekend. Ambiance- 9/10- very well decorated, I think that it would be a good place for a date night or list to hangout at the bar since it is open until 2 AM some nights. Service- 9/10 -our server was very kind and transparent about how the coconut shrimp may be too sweet for some people and let us know before hand Food- 8/10- food came quickly and it was good but some dishes did seem a little expensive for the portion we got. But we did enjoy the coconut shrimp and moo shop pork a lot. Overall, I think it is worth a try if you like Chinese, Thai or sushi.

The drinks were phenomenal!!! In the pricey side per my personal opinion of $17 upwards however I can NOT stop thinking about the drinks weeks after the fact. They were made so well and shows great talent of the bartenders, which can't be said for every establishment. The food was so good I didn't even get a chance to take pictures. We were a group of 7 ppl and shared everything family style. Tried the general Tso chicken, fried chicken wings, a chicken tempura roll, salmon roll, pecking duck, crispy chicken, and maybe more. The Peking duck was delicious and comes with some meat on the crispy skin. It did come very late into dinner and we had to wait for a good while before it arrived, despite ordering it early on.

The hot and sour and wonton soup were good. The spicy wontons with peanut sauce was cold and had to be sent back. Then they just nuked them and sent them back so hot they could not be eaten! The fried chicken was undercooked, so we didn't finish it. The Mongolian combination dish was ok. The restaurant itself was cold inside and the service was minimal. The bill for 2 was $80 for lunch! We will not be returning.
