So grateful that this was one of the few places open on Christmas in DC! With the promise of showing the Netflix NFL games that day, Snappy's drew in a crowd! I was lucky to grab a seat at the bar and watch with everyone else. At the back of the bar they offered holiday snacks, including a fantastic Swiss roll, bean stew (I didn't know this was a thing for Christmas), and some presents under the tree in the corner. The Christmas lights throughout the place get you in the holiday mood. I got the Ranch Fire, which is one of the closest things to a fresh cocktail you can get here. Strong taste of mezcal comes through, followed by the kick of the Tajín seasoning. I also got an Old Fashioned, which is notably on draught and was good enough for me. Thanks Snappy's for a festive time!

Washington, D.C. needs more places like Snappy's. Far from the U.S. Capitol in a storied neighborhood, it's a small bar with a big personality that's inclusive of all and accessible to everybody. Opened by a former bartender at The Dew Drop Inn, it's open daily from 5 p.m, until very late (between 2-3 a.m.). Dimly lit, the first room with the bar is small but comes with bar seating and standing areas by the walls. There's one booth and a popcorn maker. There's a mural-decorated back outdoor patio with more space.Their menu carries draft beer (there's even a sour ale), $10 cocktails with a spin, wine, and a few snack items like popcorn and Dino nuggets. Don't come here for dinner, but the snacks are worth your time. It's a kind of place that attracts all kinds of people, many looking for community. Go for an event or go with a small group of friends. It's a place that you'll come back to over and over again.

I am so happy that Petworth has this dive bar. Great low key vibe, that is authentic and local. Just grab a drink and hang...nothing more and nothing less.

Snappy's Small Bar is exactly that- a small bar in the heart of Petworth. I stumbled upon it because a lot of the other nearby bars were closed (which I found odd on a Friday night). I am glad I stopped through though. Very dimly lit inside, it has a small college town bar feel. There isn't a full bar so the drink options are limited but I think they offer a decent selection of beer, cocktails (with fun names) and even Truly. The service was good and there was music playing but you could still comfortably have a conversation without yelling. I love the unique/old school style and Peanuts decor. Look forward to visiting again.

Very fun dive bar in Petworth. I am a sucker for chill vibes, exposed bricks, and great deals, and Snappy's serves all three. Their beer/shot deals are legendary. For just $8, you can get a high life and a shot, whatever liquor you crave. They have a few drafts and a full bar, as well, so you'll find what you like. $1 off if you pay with cash, too.The space is eclectic and fun, but VERY cramped. On the weekend, it is hard to even walk in. A bit uncomfortable for my tastes on the weekend, but come on a weekday or off hour, and it's a great spot to hang. They have a large back patio, too, which is going to be incredible in the spring and summer. If you have a group and the timing gods are smiling upon you, they have one big corner booth surrounded by cat portraits, and a make-shift sign above it calling it the lion's den. Or catty corner. If you're lucky, and it isn't too packed, they have a communal popcorn machine in back, too. Oh, and dino nuggets! Check them out.

A hidden speakeasy gem (with a big ol' sign up front) that I'm not even supposed to write about it. Seven days old, but feels like it's been here 70. Non-ironically, its bar is small, its bartenders surly, with a massive patio--and a godfather-style round table in the back for making big deals or taking shots. The frosty espresso cocktail is amazing.

YELP! WELP here's the new ..... I'm speechless as I'm typing this review but I must say that SNAPPYS the SMALL bar located in Washington DC is a place of fun and excitement! Additionally- Dave and his kind staff made my experience such an incredible experience for me and my fellow bike friends . If you live or ever plan to visit the nations capital, this is the place to be . That being said - this bar is highly recommended for any person(s) groups , wanting a new fun experience in the District of Columbia. ~ Amos
