SmokeShack Ribs & BBQ

I did an online order which is very convenient. The online system gave me a pickup time the food would be ready, but when I went inside to pick up my order it wasn't prepared. I'm not sure if it was just a busy day or they want to ensure you're there so your food is freshly packaged. They put all the food in separate containers and I appreciate that. I was able to control my portions and nothing gets soggy. Everything was fresh. I tried the pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, potato salad and peach cobbler. I enjoyed the food. The sides were basic honestly. Everything was edible but nothing stood out. I did enjoy their peach cobbler. My spouse said it wasn't sweet enough but I think it was simple and to the point. Not too sweet, a good texture and balance of fruit and dough, and some spices. They offer a good portion as well.

Everything my family and I had was delicious and the service was helpful and welcoming, wish the wait time was better but I guess good taste will have the place busy....

I drove past the business and turned around because it smelled so good. I usually get fries whenever available but not here I love the mac and the potato salad!

Customer service does not exist at this establishment you learn that real quick from the two woman working behind the register they are not polite you can tell they hate their jobs and that they hate you even more. They mean mug you when you're trying to place a order and the food is hit or miss depending on who made it that day the catering side is also hit or miss they will cut corners on large catering orders if you don't check also there's always lots flies flying all around inside

I was driving around looking for a place to eat some lunch and came across this place. I was just driving down the road and this smells coming from this place just grabbed me.The restaurant has a small parking lot that is very tight. It took me awhile to back my car out of my spot. This is only a carry out spot. They don't have a dining area.They only allow 3 people in the restaurant at a time to place their orders. Once your order is place then you have to go outside and pick your order up from the window. I found it a bit odd, but I did not have a huge issue with it because it was a nice day. It would have been a different story if it was cold.They had your typical "Q" on the menu such as ribs, chicken, mac & cheese, green beans, sweet potatoes, and cabbage. I got a 1/2 slab of ribs combo with a side of green beans and sweet potatoes. I also got some of their peach cobbler...shhhhhh. It just looked so good.It took about 10 to 15 minutes for me to get my food from that walk-up window outside. Because they did not have a dining area, I went to a nearby park with a picnic shelter to eat my meal. It was delicious. The ribs were amazing. The green beans were packed with flavor. The sweet potatoes were so good too. The cobbler tasted as good as it looked. Mmmmmm. The meal reminded me of my childhood. It was awesome.I wish I was able to eat all of that goodness in a dining area, but oh well. The 4 minute ride to the park felt like 30 minutes with the good aroma coming from my bag in the passenger seat. I highly recommend checking this place out if you are looking for some of the best barbecue in the area.

We Love this place..... We have been coming here for 15 years and have always come away happy... Their catfish is great - best in the entire Northern Virginia - Maryland area... !

This is some of the best barbecue I've ever had. From opening to closing, the smoke is visible from MD-210, and there's a line of customers patiently waiting. Before COVID, this take-out restaurant had a few seats at a counter. And they were open everyday during the summer. Now they're open on weekends all year.The chicken is not exceptional, but the beef and pork ribs are the bomb. Sides are great, with the standout their collard greens with pork. Choose the spicy barbecue sauce unless you have a Brit's palate. Buy extra sauce if you like your ribs wet. But taste them without sauce first. I wish I lived closer. Enjoy!!

I've been going to SmokeShack Ribs & BBQ for years. I love their food. It's my favorite BBQ place in the Washington, D.C. area.

Ribs taste like char. I had them a few yearsBack and the ribs were good. I tried them 2 different times before writing this review. Both times the ribs tasted like char. They cant be smoking and the ribs.

Food is really good. Got beef ribs for my return in a number of years to the spot. They were tough so I cooked them some more; they were fine then. Got NC pork BBQ for my next visit. Very, very good. Put it on bread with coleslaw and that dulled the taste. Plain was perfect.
