Look here now - Nicholas is an amazing server and needs that raise! The food is excellent and honestly I'm probably gonna miss Urias as our Bartender but hey he had a health complication and you guys shouldn't have canned him. Anyways back to the main review of our visit(s) - We come to celebrate birthdays here frequently because the friend group is so large and the food is always on point and the collection of sauces help add to the variety of flavors you can play with. The restaurant is actually pretty small compared to some of the others I've been to and I've never been there when it's packed - I'm sure it has because it's got more than decent barbecue. The owner/chef loves to display his awards and trophies and I'm happy for him! 7.5/10

Had a great experience at Smokecraft. The food was excellent, and the manager came around to check on how things were going. We came on a weekday evening for dinner, and we too were surprised at how empty the place was. My belief is that people in this area currently may not be dining out as often with everything going on right now. The menu consists of smoked items; even unique takes on cocktails with a smoked twist. Our table ordered the Pork Belly Burnt Ends, Prime Brisket, BBQ Chicken, Smoked Cauliflower, Brussel Sprouts, and Cabernet. The standout of the evening was the Pork Belly Burnt Ends, I highly recommend that appetizer, it is full of flavor and wonderful. Also, the Brisket was excellent... other places Ive gone to the brisket was way too dry. Here, the Brisket was not dry at all and such a delight to enjoy. Only reason why I did not give 5 stars, is because yes.. have to admit that the menu is definitely on the pricey side. With the current economy, cant currently justify coming too often here. The prices are high. A once in a while outing would be okay. I would love to come back.

Made dinner reservations for 2 on a Saturday at 6pm. Upon arrival I was surprised that the restaurant was pretty empty, as I was expecting the need for reservations. When I mentioned that to the hostess, she said it would get busier soon. It did get busier but not where every table was occupied. But reservations are still a good idea.I tried one of the craft cocktails, the Southern Sky. I took a video of it being presented. It was fun but not as much smoke as you would think. I was also surprised that I didn't get a buzz from it. It was pretty good though. The cornbread bites were delicious! I was happy to see them because I didn't see cornbread on the menu and was disappointed at first. For my entree I ordered the crab cakes. The server wanted to call out that they were smoked so to not expect Maryland crab cakes. But once they arrived, I honestly wouldn't have known there was a difference. They were delicious and tasted like I would expect a crab cake to taste. Opted for mac & cheese instead of fries for a side which was a smart decision because it was just how I like it: baked on top but cheesy inside. So good! Kept the other side of Brussels sprouts (which were a bit too charred and greasy for my liking, but still good).Ordered a blondie for dessert. It underwhelmed me and needed more ice cream, so I didn't finish it.This is a cute but small spot, playing country music, and with some fun decor (see the video of the different types of wood). It's in a great location with plenty of parking options (street and garage). A solid spot for food and drinks.

First time visiting Smokecraft Modern. I came here after a big game and the place was empty. I wasn't sure if that was a good or bad sign. The bartender was very friendly and pleasant.I ended up sitting at the bar. I couldn't decide on what I wanted so I opted for two things. The chicken nachos and the Mac and cheese. The nachos were massive, the chicken is extra but the portion size was too big for me. The chicken was flavored and you could tell that the chicken had a smoked flavor. The Mac and cheese was served in a cast iron skillet and was a decent portion size for the price. There was a little insect problem but the bartender took care of it right away.

This place is a gem for bbq and meat lovers. We had a big group and our server Nicholas did great. Honestly deserves a recognition from Manager! He took care of our big group with ease.i loved how this place put their special kick to bbq to crab cakes, devil eggs and steak rolls. You eat every dish and you get the the grill smoke taste. We got a big platter like sampler, and OMG pure awesomeness. The meat is soft and perfect and yet crispy where it needs to be. Side dishes were perfectly seasoned and portions just on point. Our drinks were just right- from beer to cocktails to hard liquor. We happily rolled out of the place. I suggest this place for either a Happy Hour, chill night or a fun group outing! The prices are normal for area but it's totally worth it.

I don't eat a lot of barbecue but I didn't think this stood out too much. The sandwich was ok for the chopped brisket, and the potato salad was fine. I did enjoy that there was some egg salad at the bottom! My friend got the nachos which looked good. But the meat was cooked a bit tough for me, and I prefer it more tender. I probably would not come back here.

Ambiance: 5/5Service: 5/5Quality of food: 2/5Presentation of food: 5/5Came here party of two on a Saturday, and there was lots of space inside and made for a great ambiance! We ordered and were quickly served within 5 mins (extremely quick!) The food came out looking AMAZING (if you see the photos, I presentation gets 6/5). However, the quality and flavor - very disappointing. The pulled pork was dry, the cauliflower had the right flavor but was extremely buttery, and the deviled eggs were just okay (note, it has cilantro!). As for the banana pudding - again, presentation great, but flavor just mediocre. Wouldn't come back again unless I had a large group that wanted fast food service.

I have had dinner here before (yum) but was super excited to try brunch after I heard about the award winning monte cristo! The food was absolutely delicious!!!! I cannot get over how juicy and smoky the meat was in the breakfast foods. They gave us mini cornbread and honey butter to start which were mouthwateringly delicious. We shared the monte Cristo sandwich and the Texas omelet with sides of breakfast potatoes and fresh fruit. It was all so flavorful and fresh, highly recommend! The service was nice and our waitress had great recommendations. Can't wait to bring some friends back to try it!

The pork belly burnt ends were quite fatty, about half the dish was wasted in fat but if that's something you enjoy, you would like it! Mac and cheese did not disappoint, and neither did the quesadillas. Had a good flight of beers but the staff did not share which beer was what ... We sat in the outdoor area which was cute! Service was alright but nothing crazy.

Today we had the absolute pleasure of visiting Smoke Craft modern BBQ for lunch. We met the man himself, Drew the owner/pitmaster and his crew were an absolute joy to be around. We talked competitive BBQ with Drew and enjoyed some amazing BBQ. If you're ever in the Arlington area Smokecraft is a must.
