Got a sweetie pie latte with oatmilk and a slice of pumpkin bread. The sweetie pie latte only came in one size--I think 12 ounces. It was tasty but the Starbucks PSL is still my go-to. The pumpkin bread was flavorful and a bigger portion than the one you get at Starbucks. It reminded me of the episode in The Office where Dwight gets the pumpkin stuck on his head.

Nice small location with a few tables inside and more outside as well as in the atrium of the building. I had a good WiFi connection through Xfinity so I may go back to work remotely!I ordered a Tahitian Vanilla Latte in a mug. It didn't seem very large so I'm wondering if you get more by ordering to go or if it's an illusion and just deceptively small looking. I also ordered a Jammy Bacon and Egg Sandwich. Both were so good!!!

Definitely a step above. Way less crowded than 14th, so you can chat with the baristas. Enjoyed my flat white here and their espresso is medium bodied, has its own sweetness that is nice.

A chill, convenient spot for coffee aficionados in downtown. Though smaller than the Logan Circle location, there's still a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. And it's not too crowded in the afternoons before they close at 3pm.There are tasting coffee options, and I love that they serve espresso in my preferred manner (with a small seltzer water on the side). The service was good too. I do wish their food options were more inclusive--few vegan and gluten free options to be found on the lunch and dinner menus. A great local, independent option if you don't want to support Compass (for various reasons)!

When you walk in the door, Slipstream's decor is so welcoming. Like whether you've just had the toughest commute or are just looking for a huge in a mug, somehow you feel like all will be well. There's a QR menu + paper menus to help you make your selection. The not so great? I wasn't a fan of Sweater Weather despite loving the name. I will always stan coffee art, which I got to enjoy (pictured). The breakfast burrito also had a very runny egg, which I wasn't feeling. So, the vibes are cool but I didn't enjoy my order. Both are some of their most popular orders, so clearly others like it!While I haven't found the right beverage & food order, I still recommend Slipstream for the pleasant vibes. It's a nice addition to the Franklin Square area.

Great coffee, very pleasant staff, nice clean ambiance. But they recently downsized their cold containers to something resembling those little cups they give you for rinsing at the dentist's office ... so $6 feels steep.

A great oasis is land of chains. Maybe this place is a chain but they hide it well. Lovely coffee and espresso. Go with the standard or get something special. Nice food options as well for both breakfast and lunch. Friendly fast service. A few nice booths to sit inside and a patio outside if the weather is nice.

Nice centrally located coffee shop with lots of room for working remotely! I tried the Tahitian vanilla latte and my friend tried the pandan latte. I liked the vanilla latte but didn't think it had a very strong vanilla flavor and the latte itself definitely wasn't the best I've had in DC. The pandan latte in particular was disappointing - it did have a subtle pandan flavor but I didn't feel like it worked well with the coffee. However, I think this would be a great place to work in DC as there's a good amount of seating in the actual cafe as well as in the atrium of the building the cafe is in, and the barista was very friendly!

To survive as a local business during (and after) the pandemic, you need to innovate. Slated to open before the pandemic, Slipstream's newest and third location needed to pivot with the downtown audience suddenly gone. They slowed down and designed out the small space with the pandemic in mind. They took out a few seats to leave room for safe distancing while customers wait for their lattes. Outdoor seating is being added. Compared to its two other locations, this one is the smallest, but it fits the downtown working crowd. Located inside an office building that sits 1,000 workers, the location is central. When you walk in, you're greeted by a bright mural by Dante Marshall, an artist friend of the owner. Order your coffee drink or a food item (recommend the breakfast sandwich of sweet potato biscuit). Wait safely in a space next to the coffee bar (decorated with hanging plants) or grab a booth. The coffee itself is good and colorful cups help you determine what kind of coffee you like- floral, creamy, etc. If you like creamy, the vanilla latte is on point.

In town for a conference and finally found some real coffee near the convention center! A quiet spot with friendly service The avocado toast and cortado were both great. It was also easy to get a seat at the bar for a quick bite
