Simply Banh Mi

The vegan pho is delicious with fried tofu and fresh basil leaves, all at a good price point. Will come back to try their other dishes.A newly opened neighborhood pho place. It's in a half basement but very clean. Their website erroneously talks about themselves as a hole in the wall place, but actually you can dine in here. It's just that online ordering on their site or on UberEats doesn't work yet. Had to come here to order in person.Order was ready relatively fast (considering it's an in person order).

Take out and delivery only!! I've heard really good things about this place, I thought the food was pretty average overall, there's probably better Viet food in DC, but very convenient if you're located in Georgetown. The owner also seems like such a nice dude! If you're doing take out I'd definitely order 30 min in advance3/5 food - I got a BBQ Pork Belly Bahn Mi with peanut sauce, it was pretty good, not the best I've had but definitely not the worst. The bahn mi and the protein options are good. Fair pricing although you can get better and cheaper in Northern Virginia. The process of ordering and picking up food from here is not amazing. They only do take out and delivery, not being able to enter the shop to order is inconvenient. In addition, having to go down steps to get food is not very accessible. When I ordered for pick up on a Saturday, it took an hour for my sandwich to be ready. Not great that you can't stop in and order quickly, it shouldn't take an hour to prepare a sandwich.

When we first got here, we couldn't find the restaurant because it was actually underground! Once we found it, we were confused as to why there was a line of people standing outside the door. Turns out they are not accepting sit-in dining! You have to order online first and then pick up at the door when it's ready. They should really display the menu somewhere, maybe a QR code next to their logo outside? Something that would make the method of ordering more easily noticeable would be greatly appreciated!Once we knew how it worked, we were able to order seamlessly. The staff was very nice and friendly! He kept us updated on how long the food would take and brought the food outside once it was done to give to us.We ordered fried vegetable egg rolls and banh mi (pictured) and it was so so good. So delicious and definitely worth it!! Even though we weren't able to dine in at this restaurant, the food and service make this a 5/5. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting Georgetown.

Let me start by saying, I love, love, love this Bahn Mi place! Throughout the summer, I attended numerous events that were catered by them, and without fail, they left me utterly impressed. The range of options they offer is simply mind-boggling, ensuring that there's something delightful for every palate. The commitment to providing fresh and high-quality food is evident in every bite.The sandwiches themselves are not only bursting with flavors that dance on your taste buds, but they also hold up remarkably well. I've often found myself with leftovers, and keep perfectly for the next day's snack. Furthermore, the Bahn Mis are incredibly portable, making them a top choice for an on-the-go meal. Whether you're headed to work, a picnic, or just exploring the city, this is a fantastic choice.The flavors are delightful and i will definitely be swinging by in person next time I'm in the area

NOTE: they only take online orders for pick up or delivery. They don't even accept you go there to order in person for take out. The food is cheap.I have ordered both braised pork banh mi and lemon grass beef pho. As you can tell from the picture, it does not look anything like pho. The broth is in a separate container, and it is not clear. The pho noodles is in a foiled pan, which I have no problem with just pouring the broth into the pan. However, even we don't call it pho, just say it is a beef noodle soup, the beef is not tender at all... The banh mi is just as its name says, very simple...

This sandwich is EVERYTHING!... Lemongrass Tofu Banh Mi with crispy eggplant. Please follow the rules. You must order your food online... and yes they are located in a basement. But seriously, the sandwich is amazing

All I can is wow! This was the best Banh mi sandwich I've ever had. We got the lemongrass tofu banhmi sandwich as well as the halal lemongrass chicken bahnmi sandwich. Both were delish. The flavors were perfect, the bread was just right and the sauces were just the right amount and flavor. We enjoyed each bite. Their iced coffee and fresh spring rolls were amazing too. You can't go wrong! It's a to-go place only and the owner is super nice which makes it all even better! Very easy to order on their website and if you call once nearby, owner can just run your order up to your car if you want. Will definitely be back!

The bahn mi is so yummy!! Got the steak and it was perfect. The customer service is great here too and he made great recommendations/additions for our bahn mis. Would definitely come back! There's no indoor or outdoor seating here but you can usually find a place to sit and enjoy nearby or just take home and enjoy!
