This NoMa cafe used to be Sweet Science, which I reviewed above. It seems nothing had changed besides the name--and that is for the most part for the better, because Sweet Science had, and Simona still has, the most delicious orange-chocolate scone: moist, flavourful, melts on the tongue. The cappucino and even the drip coffee were truly marvelous. The ambience is alright--perhaps the walls a bit bare, but on the upside, all their plants and flowers are real and not plastic. Generally, a big thumbs up.

I've visited here a couple times when staying at the hyatt hotel across the street. I would probably continue to go here anyway just because of its convenience but their coffees, teas, and especially their matcha is quite good. They heat drinks to proper temperature and follow best practices and you can taste it. It goes without saying some staff are better than others. Place is somewaht roomy. There isnt a ton of seating relative to the overall size. Maybe enough for 20+ but could probably seat much more of they wanted.

Great local coffee shop with indoor and outdoor seating, good coffee, and good ambiance. I've dropped by here once a week/biweekly since I moved to the area and my vanilla lattes are always great, although a bit on the pricier side, and they have simple tasty pastries as well. They have rotating seasonal drinks but don't necessarily have a ton of different syrups (ex: hazelnut) if that's what you're looking for. It's slightly busier on the weekends but most of the times I've dropped in during the week there's always been seats available! Looking to try some of their food items next and will update my review after!

This is a nice neighborhood café with a decent amount of drink options. I chose to go with my chai tea latte. I wouldn't say it's my favorite, but I love the ambience and just sitting there and journaling/reading.

It is one of those places that will make you end up paying for a $8-10 beverage but I will say, it's so good. Nice cafes like this are a nice luxury to yourself, especially if you're coming to do work. Take in the clean design and open seating. It's really made me fall in love with the London Fog, the tea was so aromatic, not too sweet to bring out the floral notes, and the fog had a perfectly creamy and foamed oat milk. Very pleasant to just even lounge and listen to the bustle and coffee sounds.

Cute cafe! Good amount of seats and they even have an outdoor patio, which will be amazing in the spring/summer.They have really good sandwich options. The menu was solid with some seasonal coffees too. I got the 5 spice chai and it was fantastic!! I also got a chocolate chip cookie that was super soft in the middle, it was perfect. Can't wait to come back here! Great for working.

A really pleasant find in the NOMA area. In a kind of "blink and you miss it" stretch of street, this cute shop really has a lot to offer. I stepped in for what I intended to be a quick cup of coffee, and ended up staying a while. The bright shop was very comfortable and welcoming on even a bleak cloudy day. I am a fan of smaller menus that focus on doing certain things really well. Their aeropress coffee was very well made and ratioed, and the flavor was perfectly balanced. I was intrigued by their in-house blended cacao for the mochas, which was also incredibly good. The pastries and croissants are also very very good. There is a small menu for food if you want something a little more substantial. Staff was very friendly, and the shop definitely deserves a return visit.

Transitioning from Sweet Science to Simona, molecule art still decorates the floor of this cafe in NoMa. Find street parking nearby and bring your laptop. There's strong wifi, tables, and outlets. They brew a full coffee menu, including seasonal lattes. My pumpkin brown sugar latte was excellent- creamy and flavorful. Their chocolate croissant is very soft and delicious! (I appreciate a non-dry pastry.)They also have a breakfast menu of hearty and light dishes. Service was excellent- kind and efficient.

Simona Cafe offers a nice variety of menu that includes coffee, wine, and food. They have another location out in Arlington, but this space is much larger with ample seating.I had the NOVA, which was an open-faced focaccia topped with smoked salmon, lemon ricotta, smokey red pepper salsa, pickled onions, and arugula - this was really tasty, and I really liked the creamy lemon ricotta as it added a nice freshness to it. I didn't mind the smokey red pepper salsa this time around, as I felt it complemented all the other toppings.Note that everything is made-to-order, so you may wait a few, depending on the queue. Staff were super friendly, kind, and welcoming! There are limited metered and restricted street parking in the area.+yummy NOVA +friendly service+ample seating inside+plenty of metered and restricted street parking in the area
