Silver Diner

Absolutely incredible experience. The food was fantastic, with every dish cooked to perfection--definitely some of the best we've had in a long time. But what truly made our visit unforgettable was our server, Nathan.Nathan went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing time. His attention to detail, warm personality, and excellent recommendations were top-notch. He made us feel so welcome and taken care of. In fact, the experience we got from him was a stark difference from other people we interacted with throughout the experience. If you're planning to visit, do yourself a favor and ask for Nathan. He's what elevated our meal from great to exceptional! Can't wait to come back!

It had been maybe three years since we were last here, so we decided to give it a try. This time we showed up around 1:00pm on a Sunday. Silver Diner was busy, but we were seated immediately.I'll start out with the best: and that was the Oreo cookie shake. It was perfectly made and came with extra shake in a large metal cup. Service was also excellent; our server was friendly and responsive.Now, talking about the rest of our brunch: the greasy heavy home fries at Silver Diner are not good. I just couldn't finish them.I ordered the lumberjack breakfast, which is eggs, three pancakes, two choices of meat and home fries. For the meat, I picked chicken maple sausage and bacon. The bacon was okay, but the sausage was extremely dry and tough. I also ordered a side of wheat toast. The bread, with seeds, was quite good but they don't butter the toast for you. Instead, they give you little packets of butter that are rock hard from the fridge. Also they didn't give me any butter at all for my pancakes. The pancakes were decent but had a pronounced vanilla flavor.I considered ordering a burger, but chose not to when I discovered that Silver Diner uses those horrid fall-apart-after-the-first-bite Brioche buns.JP ordered a beautifully presented lamb shakshuka. The lamb was a tad gamey and the shakshuka had cilantro buried in there somewhere. Otherwise the shakshuka was good.Prices here are notably higher than at other local diners. But maybe in conclusion, I will say that you can have a good experience here if you are careful about what you order.

Came here with my extended family around 11am on a Saturday. It was about 60% full. I ordered the country fried steak and eggs. The batter was a bit thick and very salty for my liking. Eggs were cooked to perfection over medium per my request. Dish also came with home fries which were inconsistent in texture (doness).My daughter 8yr old daughter ordered chicken strips and again the batter was very thick and some pieces a bit overcooked. The fries she enjoyed very much. Overall service was "meh" server rarely came by and had to ask for waters to be refilled after waiting decent amount of time with completely empty glasses.

My husband and I don't go to Silver diner often, but when we do, the food is delicious! It also gives you an upscale diner feel! I ordered the Pastrami Rueben sandwich and ordered a peanut butter and banana milkshake. Probably one of the best Pastrami Rueben sandwiches I've had! Service was top notch!

Silver Diner is the spot for classic, no-frills diner food, whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner. The portions are generous, the menu has something for everyone, and everything is reliably good. A solid choice for a casual meal!

As diners go, this place was pretty good. Our server, TJ, was right on top of things ... anticipating some of our needs and thinking ahead. The food was good, again we're talking diners here. The place was clean and truly retro.

Haji was very professional and courteous and attentive to great service.And came back without being called over to check to see if we needed anything.

haji was absolutely incredible! I had a margarita and the surf and turf that were good as well but the service is what made the entire experience complete! he checked on us periodically and took amazing care of us thank you again haji!!!!

P^$$ poor service and I could have made breakfast for the whole diner in the time we were waiting To have our order taken. If you get Peter as your waiter, asked for someone else. Other people were getting seated, drinks ordered, delivered and their food order in before we even got our drinks. The food here though is really good and it's presentation was excellent. An innovative menu and great music old rock playing that doesn't drown the atmosphere. I still would be hesitant to eat here again as we were on a tight schedule and I really don't like being jerked around by the service staff.

This has been my go to at Tysons and Springfield locations for years. (Springfield)Tonight my family(AA)walked in and we were seated where apparently someone became sick and vomitted. Before learning of this I slide across the booth seat and felt wetness on my pants and shirt sleave. A nice lady across from us said "you shouldn't be sitting there. Someone just got sick." Thank you ma'am by the way. I know it's busy but there are too many illnesses going around. Why not sanitize thoroughly before resuming business as usual. We immediately left. Shame because before this incident, I really enjoyed dining here. But makes me wonder about their hygiene practices overall. Bothered, Lost customer.
