Silk Lounge

I recently checked out Silk Lounge on a Wednesday night as they were hosting a candle making class. It's such a vibe! SL one of the city's newest Black-owned hotspots, and they just celebrated their 1-year anniversary! With Happy Hour all day on Monday and food and drink specials Tuesday to Friday, Silk is the perfect spot to unwind. Rahel was our attentive server. We tried the lemon drop and margaritas, paired with their must-have oxtail egg rolls, wings, veggies, and fries--everything was delicious!I can't wait to go back to try the hookah and other food items.

This is an elegant and intimate lounge spot located in northwest DC with a decent sized bar with a couple of tv's and surrounded by comfy couches and chairs. I stopped in during the evening hours (their happy hour runs from 5pm-9pm) and their menu features items like beef and chicken empanadas, fish tacos, and Rasta pasta ($12-$36). The staff was quite pleasant and helpful providing great suggestions for items to try given this was my first time at the location. I decided to test out the oxtail eggrolls and the chicken wings as well. The items arrived swiftly and were delicious: the wings were well-seasoned and not overcooked, and the oxtail eggroll was everything I had hoped it would be, tender and flavorful. Definitely give them a try whenever the opportunity presents itself, I'll certainly be looking forward to trying more of the food menu items as well as the hookah on my next outing.

Best thing is the food is good and the drinks are great. Service was excellent too and the ambiance is very pleasant and cozy.

Horrible. Bathroom seat was broken. Had to ask for the table to be cleaned. Waitress sat down the whole time had to keep getting her attention.
