Tried the new brunch recently! FYI, on weekends, the parking is tough to find in this area. Although it was a good experience and not a bad first time at Shibuya, I do think the food left a little to be desired. The restaurant is spacious and full of interesting decor. Our server was attentive but there also seemed to be a lot of conversation going on between the servers and management while we were there. And since the restaurant was nearly empty, it was more noticeable. We tried the short rib hash, the Japanese fluffy pancakes with a matcha blueberry sauce and the okonomiyaki. The portions were great for the prices. I felt like the short rib hash had a nice smoky flavor, but was a bit on the dry side. I would have loved a sauce to accompany it. The pancakes were huge and certainly fluffy. But the matcha blueberry sauce tasted more like a blueberry cream without a strong matcha flavor at all. I did enjoy the interactive element of pouring the sauce on the pancakes yourself though. The okonomiyaki had the most flavor out of everything we tried, but I wish the vegetables inside of it were more fresh, and more aligned with a traditional okonomiyaki. The veggies were like mixed vegetables from a bag. They have a good concept though so I might still go back to try some of the regular menu items.

3.5 rounded up - Made a reservation for two at noon on a Saturday and glad I did as the place filled up shortly after! We came to try the fluffy Japanese pancakes but also ordered the eggs shibuya from the brunch menu. The pancakes were unfortunately pretty underwhelming but the eggs shibuya was delicious. The pork belly and poached eggs were made to perfection and it's a great item to share w someone else since it comes with two separate toasts. Next time I would skip the pancakes but order more of their other savory dishes. Our server was really nice but knew very little about the menu as he just started. FYI there is also an automatic 20% service fee added to the bill regardless of party size.

I've been wanting to try this spot for a while because I saw they had ramen. Stopped in for their weekend brunch. The standouts were the Crispy Brussel Sprouts theses are a MUST!! We also had the juggly fluffy Japanese pancakes with strawberries and cream on top. Delicious, so jiggly!! The Ramen was a bit underwhelming. The noodles were cooked perfectly, but it fell short for me in the broth and braised short ribs. I felt like the broth was a little overpowering, and the shortribs while tender didn't have any seasoning and had a lot of fatty bits still on.It's in Adam's Morgan, so parking isn't fun, even in the garage. It is up some stairs to enter, not sure if there is another entrance.

3.5 stars! Came on a Thursday night around 8:30pm during their Christmas pop-up so the place was super decorated and very cute. My friends and I sat at the first booth by the door. Definitely ask for another booth if you're seated at that first booth during winter. There's no door so we were hit with a cold breeze everytime someone came in and out which was often. There was a heater right next to our booth to offset some of the chill which was nice. Our server was great and very attentive and the food came pretty quickly. I had a benito box which comes with miso soup, vegtables, which varies but were fried brussels sprouts when we went, your choice of meat (I had chicken), rice, and half a sushi roll for $22 for a small portion. The small was a good portion for one person and be aware the large portion only gives you more meat. The miso soup was pretty concentrated but otherwise tasty. The brussels were good but fried to a crisp so there were many full brussels sprouts in the mix.The chicken came on a skewer which was a bit of a surprise. Nothing to rave about -- light on seasoning and maybe slightly overcooked. I definitely would've preferred the meat off the stick and over the rice with a sauce. The sushi roll was fresh and tasty (I had the salmon avocado).Overall I enjoyed my meal but probably wouldn't get it again. The sushi is really expensive and good but not worth the price compared to other sushi places in the city. $14 for an 8 piece salmon avocado roll seems a bit excessive to me so the bento box is a fair deal. Drinks for the Christmas pop up were excellent. Expensive but worth it. Really well crafted cocktails in super cute glassware. Overall loved the atmosphere and the service was great so I'd come back for drinks and bites but wouldn't come just for dinner.

This is a nice spot with good variety on the menu. The veggie rolls and shishito peppers to start were delicious and the ramen was also solid. The server and bartender were very friendly.

Just a heads up, the menu online is not the same menu in person! Shibuya offered a smaller version of the menu which I wasn't aware of when I booked reservations and actually didn't offer what I wanted to try when I was there. Staff was friendly and promptly showed my friend and I to the sushi counter seating area. Service was decent. Food wise, the rolls were good but didn't stand out from other places I've been to. Yams were sweet and good but not something I'd order again. Prices were a little higher but overall not bad but not fantastic like j was hoping.

Was in the mood for ramen and decided to try somewhere different. The entrance door says Death Punch so I was a little confused while walking down the street. There was a staff member/host outside that guided me indoors. They have a dining room on the first floor and a bar upstairs that serves the full Izakaya menu. I sat upstairs at the bar. I sat at the bar for a good 20 minutes before someone took my order. The bartender seemed nice but mainly attended to the people he knew and the men that walked up to the bar. I ordered the house saki which came warmed (such a great idea!). I enjoyed it before, during, and at the end of my meal. I tried the 3hr chicken wings and was disappointed. They were fried hard and lacked any type of flavor; the opposite of what I was expecting. I also ordered the chicken ramen. You have the option for it to be accompanied with yakitori or Japanese fried chicken. If you don't specify they automatically give you yakitori. The ramen is bland and reminded me of at home top ramen while only using a dash of the packet. I was hoping all the reviews about this ramen were wrong but they weren't. I can't say I disliked it because the noodles were perfect. The yakitori also lacked flavor and all I could taste was the charring. Would give this place another shot but will pas on their ramen

Mid sushi restaurant that currently has a Christmas bar attached. The food menu has a lot to offer although I will say the sushi quality is not the best. Their bento boxes are great for trying a little bit of everything but are composed of 30% rice. Drink menu is extremely limited and nothing to be a fan of. I personally have no interest coming back.

We came once more on the weekend and sat outside and food was pretty good. I thought the chirashi was a bit weird in presentation but everything was still super yummy. (The fried chicken was bomb)About a year later, and coming here for happy hour on a weekday, I'd have to say that my experience was not the same as on a weekend. The chicken wings were great, flavorful and fell off the bone. The pork shoulder was good, but it was kind of chewy and hard to split with a friend because it just wouldn't come off- my friend ended up busting out her pocket knife to cut the stick in half. The sushi rolls were OK- I thought that the rice was a bit hard and wasn't super well made, and the spicy tuna rolls weren't that spicy and didn't have a lot of flavor. The Brussel sprouts were a little too under-flavored, under-crispy for me - I like them to be so overcooked you can't tell they're vegetables lol. But the seasoning was unique, just needed more. Overall would still come back, but likely on a weekend for a tastier experience. I'm too old to appreciate rail drink specials, and perhaps the crowd type on weekdays doesn't warrant the chef's best because everyone's just trying to get their drink on.
