Amazing place! They said they don't sell what I asked, but come back within couple of days. And there they have it in stock!

Good selection of various alcohol. It's small and yet has many different brands. Sheffield is better than going to a chain store. Even though they don't have everything, they still do have a lot. The customer service is friendly unlike most liquor stores. It has fairly okay prices comparatively. Prices are better than a lot of other liquor stores. They have many popular brands and more obscure brands too. Lots of Irish whiskey here. They had so many different ones. It's about $20 for a good size bottle. The customer service is better for sure. Always it seems that whoever is behind the counter is friendly. They also seem to be able to find anything you ask for, as long as they have it. It doesn't have the selection of the bigger chains. It's okay. The service makes up for that.

This is a great little store with two friendly guys behind the counter. Their beer selection rotates slowly but they have all the standards and a few really nice brews. When I'm headed home in the Tenleytown Corridor of Connecticut Ave, I usually stop here if I'm interested in a chilled six pack. Their liquor selection is limited, but they have a few good bourbons, scotches, rum, and the standard vodka varieties. Their wine selection takes up several island shelves and about 20 feet of wall space. Their prices are average, sometimes a little high or low. There's never a line. You can park around back, at the same parking lot for Politics & Prose Bookstore. If you're looking for a very specific or expensive bottle of something, you may want to call ahead or go to a store with a bigger selection.

My fiancée and I love this place and typically choose to buy our wine here rather than other places. The selection is good, not great. That said, what draws us to this place is the friendly and courteous service. There are usually two guys at the counter who greet you with a smile and some positive comment. They are very helpful if you're looking for a particular drink. They know their store, what they have, and where to find it. Basic, but many stores in DC lack that component. Also, lastly, I like how they are introducing organic wines into the mix and the staff are not condescending when you ask them to point out the organic brands.

I bought a Groupon for this shop advertising a mixed case of red and white wine. When I picked it up, it was 6 of one kind of red, 2 of another, and 4 of one kind of white. I totally felt misled and would not have bought the Groupon if I'd know this was the selection. I feel like a Groupon for a case of wine should be to show off their selection and convince me to make their store my go-to for a wide variety of wine. It seems that this business was using the Groupon to get rid of an overstock of three varietals they had too much of.Also, when picking it up, I decided to get a six pack of beer. The shelf sticker directly above Bell's Two-Hearted Ale read "Bells $10.99". At the counter, the clerk rang up the beer for $12.99. When I mentioned that the shelf tag said $10.99, he said "Oh, that's for the regular Bell's. This is the Bell's Two-Hearted." There were three other Bell's products on the shelf as well: Oberon, Lager & Red Ale, none of which I would call "regular Bell's" -- in fact, each Bell's product is a specialty brew and none are marketed as just "Bell's". The shelf tag was clearly there just to get people to take it to the counter in the hope that they wouldn't argue (or wouldn't notice) when it rang up at a higher price.I won't be back.

On a recent fine September day, I was driving down Connecticut with a gorgeous blond girl in the back seat of my car, heading vaguely towards Chevy Chase circle and its emporium of liquor stores. The light at Nebraska stopped me, I gazed right and saw this place. As if by magic a parking spot opened up in front and I turned around, looked at Soccerballgirl and said - "let's go get some beer for Daddy"Poor selection of beer - and overpriced compared to half a mile up the street. Troeg's for $10 or $11 a six pack was the best I could do. Didn't seem to be much else on offer except lottery tickets. If you are stuck in a pinch it will do - but if you have wheels head up the street and take your pick from MacGruder's Circle liquors or Chevy Chase liquors, all of which leave this place in the dust.

Very helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating owner and staff. I know little about wine or liquor and he helped me pick out both for a casual dinner party, both were a hit. Prices very reasonable and competitive. Go here instead of the one near Chevy Chase Circle, much better people, neighborhood minded, and parking is available.

Small Liquor store with a pretty good stock of liquor! Was able to find some things that may be harder to find at small places like this: vermouth, campari, dry curaçao. The beer selection isn't the best but they have the staples. They also take safety very seriously. At the time of writing this, the COVID-19 epidemic is happening. They wipe down everything people touch as soon as they leave, practice social distancing, and offer hand sanitizer. On top of that, the staff is just damn friendly. Proud to support this local business.

There are times when I want a huge, high end selection of wine, beer, and liquor, and there are establishments nearby that meet my needs. But much more often it's a weeknight and I'm craving a chilled six pack of IPA on my way home from work. Their selection is the perfect size. It's not so large that indecisive people (me) will stare for 15 minutes trying to wrap their heads around a wall of beer, but it's large enough that there are many great options. There are a few beers that they always have in stock, and there are several that they rotate, giving me a chance to try something new. The prices seem a little high, but no higher than other stores in the area. What really keeps me coming back (and feeling guilty when I buy booze at Whole Foods instead) is the service. The people who work there are so nice and helpful. They really go the extra mile--I've even seen them let customers in shortly after closing on multiple occasions.

I had a Groupon for a mixed case of wine, and I got a total of two varieties in the case -- eight bottles of the same red, and four of the same white. The only way in which this case was mixed was that it had two different colors of wine. Lucky I like both wines, I guess, but I won't be returning to this store.
