I was craving Chicago fish and chicken and stumbled across Sharks. I was really excited to find a spot like this in DC. When going into the restaurant there are no seats or tables due to COVID. The menu may seem overwhelming but it's pretty simple. They offer each entree in many portion sizes. I ordered lemon pepper medium shrimp and wings with fries. They don't use wet lemon pepper, but a dry/powdery seasoning; it's really good. I asked for extra lemon pepper seasoning but that wasn't enough for me. All the dry seasoning was mostly on the wings since they were on top. My order came in a rectangle box, not a take out box. After boxing the order that's when they add the seasoning, so it wasn't evenly distributed. The shrimp was good, fried perfectly and had perfect flavor even with a lack of lemon pepper. The chicken on the other hand was simply okay; edible but I did not like how it tastes. It was fried perfectly but just wasn't it for me. The fries didn't seem fresh and were kind of cold to me. I would definitely give Shark's another try, but all seafood next time.

Where do I begin I really wanted a good fresh shrimp dinner which is shrimp and fries and I finally found it in your restaurant it is really good I'll be ordering from them for a while everything was fresh tasting and hot nothing overly spicy. The only thing I dislike was the cake it was very very very very dry.

So I've been to Sharks a few times and it's always good ! Whether you get the shrimp , fried chicken or whiting. You can also get all three for the 3 meat combo. There are literally tons of options from seafood to fried chicken and so on. Lemon pepper is also a good add on to the meal. The wait time is usually long if you just walk in so it's better if you call ahead of time to try and avoid a longer wait time. The food is always fried crispy just the way I like it ! Don't forget to get the mild sauce as well. I would also check the order before you leave as well. One time they did forget a portion of my order but they fixed it once I brought it to their attention It's open usually until midnight or 2am depending on the location and day.

I have several gripes about this place. I've been the Shark's in the Chicago area and those are much different. I know this place isn't gourmet but I was expecting decent cheap food.I got some kind of combo with wings, jumbo shrimp, and regular shrimp. Wings were old...yuck. No matter how good you fry an old wing it's going to smell old. Shrimp were fine. Actually that was the best part.The dirty rice was disgusting. Honestly I wouldn't support this place. But they will be successful because they are in a food desert.

Just received an order from ubereats and this food was absolutely horrible the fish was dried out like they had it sitting under a hot lamp for 10 hours and let's not talk about how dried out and inedible the chicken wings were! PLEASE I beg you do not waste your money on a meal you can not eat!!!

I ordered almost $50 worth of food and I am highly disappointed. I ordered 3 different meals, only one person was happy with their food. The crab cake was overcooked and mostly filler.....barely any crab.The Chicago Style wings were small. The Whiting platter was the only thing that was tasty.

Catfish nuggets were good, whiting good, fried shrimp was solid... they gave lots of fries (too many IMO). They give packets of tarter sauce would be better if it was freshly made. No real complaints - solid place to grab a quick bite.

I'm giving this Sharks location two stars because the establishment is very clean and it gives a new look to the Ivy City community. On the other hand I did not enjoy my dinner (honey bbq wings and fries) it was gross. The fries were soggy and the wings were no where near honey bbq. Not to mention I asked for blue cheese and when I got to work to eat my meal the blue cheese was expired as of May 2018. I was over my meal by then. So just be careful of what you purchase.

First time here. I ordered 2 Whiting and 8 medium shrimp with cajun rice and cole slaw. The shrimp was fried too hard. The cold slaw tasted like sugar and cabbage. Cajun rice was bland. The fish was the best item. Service was great. I'll be back for sure for the fish.
