Everything about Seven Reasons is fantastic--the food, the decor, and the overall experience. While it's a bit pricey, the experience is definitely worth it. Here are my takeaways:EnvironmentWhat can you say, Seven Reasons is beautiful. From the decor to the large tables and beautiful bar everything has it's own character. The main dining area opens up to the outdoors creating a lovely ambiance, especially on nice weather days. It's a perfect space for anything from a casual dinner with friends to a romantic date night. ServiceThe service was excellent. At a place like this, you'll want to explore everything on the menu, and our server was great at guiding us through the many options. They were attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed and checking in to make sure we were satisfied with our meals and drinks. We couldn't have asked for better service.FoodThe food was outstanding. Some highlights included the green rice and artichoke, the asado negro (a Venezuelan-style braised short rib served with mashed potatoes, sweet plantains, and a cilantro salad), and the cavatelli and lobster. Each dish offered a unique flavor profile, contributing to a delightful overall tasting experience. For dessert, the melting cloud and guava cheesecake were the perfect sweet finishes to our meal. Everything was lovely, and I can't wait to return.OverallSeven Reasons was a true delight. With amazing food and beautiful decor, we had a fantastic time and will definitely return to experience it all again.

Top notch service! And the ambience is everything! We went for a date night and had a reservation but decided to sit at the bar to take advantage of their happy hour drinks. For appetizer we got:OystersSeafood Jalea -probably my most favorite out of all the food e we had, shrimp and calamari fried perfectlyBeef Tongue-too sweet for my liking but very tenderPulpo-perfectly cooked but too sweet for me, I probably just got used to pulpo that's more on the savory sideTequenos-not my fave, it tasted like pillsbury crescent with cheese inside like someone at home would makeDrinks-we pretty much got all the cocktails on the happy hour menu and they were all very well made and very tastyI would go again for happy hour and light bites. The dinner fell a little short for me. The place has a lot of potential tho!

Disappointing Valentine's Day Experience - Not Worth the HypeI was really looking forward to a great Valentine's Day dinner, but this restaurant completely missed the mark. From the moment we arrived, the experience was frustrating. We had a 7:30 PM reservation but weren't seated until well past 8:00 PM, so we had to grab drinks at the bar while waiting. Not ideal, but we rolled with it.What I didn't realize beforehand was that they had a pre-fixed Valentine's Day menu--which didn't include any of their usual main courses. Fine, I thought, maybe the special menu would be worth it. I was wrong.Service? Unacceptable. This was one of the worst service experiences I've ever had. It was a six-course meal, but the pacing was all over the place. A white couple seated 20+ minutes after us somehow received their dishes two courses ahead of us. We flagged this to multiple servers three different times, yet nothing changed. At one point, we were waiting for course 3 while other tables were already moving on to course 5.It also took three requests to receive a second glass of wine--by the time it arrived, we were practically done with the meal. And when my wagyu finally came, I wasn't even given a steak knife. After flagging the server, I waited so long that I had already struggled through half of it before getting one. And speaking of the wagyu--it was not wagyu. I've had wagyu plenty of times before, and this was just a chewy NY strip at best.Food? Hit or Miss. Mostly Miss. While a few dishes were enjoyable--the beet spread, halibut, lobster, and risotto--the rest were just not good. Several courses lacked flavor, and the execution felt rushed. Given the price point, I expected much better.Overall Rating:Ambience: (Nice atmosphere)Music: (DJ was okay but nothing special)Food: (1.5 stars, but rounding up for the few decent dishes)Service: (Absolutely terrible)Overall Value: 1/2 (Nowhere near worth the $400 price tag)Arrival/Check-in: 7:28 pmDeparture: 10:47 pmI spent 15 years in the food and beverage industry as a server, bartender, and manager, so I know what great hospitality looks like--and this was not it. The service was chaotic, the pacing was awful, and the food was forgettable at best. By the end, I didn't even have the energy to argue with the manager when they took off just one glass of wine as compensation.Worst dining experience I've had in a long time. Honestly? The food we had at home afterward was better. Save your money.

We visited on a Saturday at 8 PM, so we expected a busy night, but both the front of house and kitchen were noticeably slow. That said, the staff was very friendly and welcoming.Cocktails were creative and delicious--definitely worth trying! The tapas were great, with the escargot being a standout. However, the hamachi portion was surprisingly small for the price (only three sashimi-sized pieces). The bone-in ribeye had great flavor and chimichurri but was slightly overcooked past my requested medium-rare. Additionally, it was listed as 24oz on the menu, but based on experience, it seemed closer to 18oz, including the bone. The ambiance was stylish, but our experience was impacted by other guests using bright lights for photos/videos at their table for an extended time. It would have been helpful if the staff had addressed this, as it was distracting. When asked about our meal, I gave a neutral response, and while the server acknowledged it, they didn't follow up with any questions. This place has a lot of potential--the flavors are there, and the atmosphere is trendy--but the service and attention to detail could use some refinement. I'd be open to giving them another try, but I'd also be more vocal about any issues next time.

I came here with my classmate for dinner after another successful semester and it was just what I needed. I'm not a flower wall aesthetic restaurant fanatic but the inside of this restaurant was beautifully done. The restaurant was dim and pretty lively. We ordered a few dishes and mine included:Half dozen oyster: 7/10Cavatelli & Lobster a la Huancaina: 8/10 (this was an interesting dish and at first I didn't know what to make of it because of its appearance. Just be prepared for lots of cream! Solid dish though)My friend ordered the ceviche which she enjoyed and for her main entree she ordered the duck dilemma which she ended up returning because it wasn't what she expected.

I've heard so many rave reviews about 7 Reasons, for years now. I finally decided to go for DC Winter Restaurant Week as a solo date. The night seemed busy, which is understandable because it's RW. The ambiance is very dark with loud music. It could be a Friday night thing. So, it's not intimate but gives that vibe.I was not a fan of the service nor the food. My waiter was either too intense or overwhelmed. It took forever for me to get the wine menu after given the wrong type of menu (20 minutes). He also took forever to check on me to see if I had any issues, in which I found to be off putting. I was rarely checked on, which caused me to be at the restaurant much longer than needed. I dont know if it was because I was there solo, but that is hardly an excuse. On to the food:Perhaps I came in on a bad night, but my beef tartare breading was so tough, I was scared that I was going to break the plate trying to cut through the breading part of it (video posted). After waiting a long time yet again, I told the waiter it wasn't edible. He replaced it with a new one, with the same exact toughness. The manager had to come out & redo the beef tartare & he comped me a glass of Malbec, in which I greatly appreciated. The Lamb Barbacoa was pretty good but not remarkable to me to want more. The guava cheesecake was very interesting. It felt like ice cream with grahams crackers. It was delicious & flavorful. The manager was kind enough to take 25% off my order after the experience I had. I spent about 3 hours there.I do not think it was worth $65 for Restaurant Week & I will likely not come here for a while until improvements are made with time management, staffing, & food preparation. A friend of mine told me that their sister company, Imperfecto, was a knockout/5 stars, so I'll certainly go there soon to do a comparison.

I absolutely loved this place! Ambiance was giving very hot spot Miami. Service was amazing. Food was everything I never knew I needed! The menu was a fusion of Venezuelan, Peruvian, and Asian and I am here for it!! I wasn't feeling well during my dining experience so it was very basic with no drinks or desserts. We decided to split 2 menu items... the Lamb Ribs and the Lamb Lo Mein. Both were delicious!! I don't really like a lot of fat and the ribs had a nice soft lining which did give them a gear flavor. The Lo Main was my favorite. All of the spices worked nicely together and they also had a little kick! I will definitely be back next trip to try some more. You can come with a group and share the dishes as they come out. The menu is perfectly designed for this.

Seven Reasons is a unique place to dine with everything it needs to make it super successful. The space is nice though not over the top, allowing for a date night or corporate dinner (of which we saw many). The service is professional and attentive, consistently making sure we had what we needed in front of us. Everyone was very honest and willing to speak to what they had tried and not tried on the menu. We liked everyone there! The food was good but a little listless. The octopus was truly stellar, and very likely my favorite thing on the menu, but much bigger than expected! The lamb noodles were really tasty but it was unclear how they went with anything else on the menu, though I was happy we had them. Everything else was good but nothing else we had was spectacular. Will likely come back, but not rush to

Overall quite a disappointed brunch experience. Yes service was amazing, ambience was great, however food was very mediocre and I just could not justify my spending there.I ordered eggs Benedict for lunch and the pouched eggs were cold. The English muffin was thin and over toasted, chewy and honestly feel like the cheapest English muffin u can get at a grocery store. The salad was underseasoned and not good. Overall, besides the vibe, I would NOT recommend if you are looking for quality food. Simply disappointing. Will not go back.

I had the pleasure of dinning here on a Friday night. Immediately walking in the decor and aesthetic was super cute! I sat at a two person table on the first floor. Michael took care of us and he is the absolute best!! He anticipated all of our needs, made excellent recommendations and was super knowledgeable. I had the shared roots cocktail it was so delicious and looked amazing! For food I don't remember the exact names but I had the curry scallops, fried seafood basket, and falafel for small plates. I would skip the falafel next time but everything else was great. For main dish we had the butterflied fish, mash potatoes and side salad. Soooo much flavor it was amazing! I will definitely be making my way back soon!
