I have not really liked thai food since I went to thailand.... I even went BACK to thailand and still didn't love the food. I know.... there is something wrong with me.Sense of Thai has really changed that and I am dreaming of pad thai again!!! The vibes in here are SO fun. It is not cheap but SR needs a little bit of a nicer place to eat and I love this spot.

I recently dined at Sense of Thai in South Riding and it was a delightful experience! I've visited their Ashburn location years ago but this was my first time at their South Riding spot. The interior is stunning, beautifully decorated and brightly lit, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. To drink, I had the Thai Iced Tea and it was spot on! Sweet, authentic, and free of any artificial aftertaste. It was exactly what I hoped for.For our appetizer, we ordered the Crab Rangoons and wow they were amazing! Hot, crispy, and perfectly balanced with crab and cream cheese. We devoured them so quickly I didn't even get a chance to snap a picture! For my entree, I went with the Drunken Noodles with beef and shrimp. The portion was generous and the flavors were just right. It was what I expect from a good plate of drunken noodles. My only complaint is that the beef was a bit chewy. We ended the meal with the Mango & Sticky Rice for dessert. It was the perfect way to wrap things up. The mango portion was generous, which I truly appreciated since other places can be stingy with it. The sticky rice was just the right texture and sweetness, so satisfying! While the meal was delicious, the price tag was a bit steep for two people, totaling $100 with tip and tax. That being said, I enjoyed the experience nonetheless.

Went on a Friday night with no reservation for party of two. We were told wait time would be about 30 minutes, but I believe it was actually less. Didn't keep track. Seating is a little tight where we were seated, but didn't stop us from enjoying our food and drinks.Having another location is great when one doesn't feel like driving out to Leesburg.

Really enjoyed our visit to Sense of Thai in South Riding. Went there with some friends for happy hour drinks and apps. Their HH is only in the bar area. They have some bar seating and 4 high tops that fit 2-3 each. The drinks were great and the food was really tasty. The bar tenders and other servers/food runners and managers were very nice and attentive. Great vibes all around and will be returning to try other dishes.

It seems this place is turning to be our weekday favorite! Food and service is consistent when ever you go. Smilie faces greet you with ready suggestions for their new holiday drink menu and food. Zack the Manager is always such a pleasure to see. Always around to come check on you . Love this place !

Fantastic addition to South Riding - much needed delicious Thai food. This location replaced Ford's Fish Shack, but you couldn't even tell when you walk in. They redid the entire place and it is gorgeous to say the least. The food is a bit on the pricier side, but worth it. It's delicious. Service is great here as well. Drinks are super fancy and come in cute glasses as well. They do have a happy hour (and late night) menu available. Highly recommended. Be prepared for a wait because they seem to always be busy.

I'm so excited to have this new Thai restaurant in South Riding--it's a refreshing addition to the area! The space has a great modern vibe that's perfect for both family meals and business outings. There's even a nice bar area that gives it a lively, fun energy. I've been here twice now--once for a happy hour date and another time with family, where we got to sit outside and enjoy the amazing weather next to the fire posts. The food comes out quickly, and everything we've tried has been really good. I love that they put a creative spin on their appetizers--they take some liberties with the classics, making them fancy, fun, and unique. We've probably tried half the appetizer menu at this point, and while they're all tasty, we're starting to lean more toward the main courses moving forward. The drinks are also well thought out and a fun addition to the experience. We tried the Ward 8 and the Earl Grey cocktails, and both were excellent--unique, refreshing, and definitely worth ordering again. Overall, it's been a great experience both times, and I'm definitely looking forward to coming back!

The interior is new and gorgeous. The place is very well decorated with options of the bar, indoor and outdoor seating. Service was inviting and warm. The menu here has some similar options to the location in Ashburn with some new dishes. We ordered the cry baby noodles, volcano seafood, and duck noodle soup. My favorite dish was the duck noodle soup. The broth was sweet and flavorful with the chewy egg noodles, crunchy Chinese broccoli, and tender duck meat. I would definitely order this dish again. The volcano seafood was suppose to be spicy and it was but very little. It's not the spicy that I am used to when it comes to Thai food. I think they catered their spice level to a certain group of diners. The cry baby noodles was a bit too sweet for me. It was similar to a pad see ew noodle dish. The mango waffle dessert was enjoyable. The mango fruit was fresh and ripped and the mango ice cream was so creamy and good. The waffles were also freshly made when ordered. My kids loved this place from the decor to the food. This may be the first Thai restaurant where they ate well. They usually don't care for Thai food and I don't know why. But they ate well here and that is a plus!

I originally wanted to go to Sense of Thai because I saw a lot of people post about the Miracle Holiday Pop Up, which features limited-time, festive cocktails in these cute, themed cups that are also available for purchase. I was a bit disappointed because there weren't any mocktail versions of the alcoholic cocktails or mocktail options to choose from because I don't drink alcohol. Regardless, the restaurant looked absolutely stunning. The restaurant normally looks very elegant and the holiday decor only enhanced the atmosphere. Sense of Thai is under the Pattana Restaurant Group and has overlapping menu items with the other restaurants under the restaurant group like Tiki Thai, Dok Khao, and Thai. Because I live near Tiki Thai, my husband and I tried to order items that are not on the Tiki Thai menu. Food and Drink Ordered:* worth trying- [Matcha Thai Tea*]: I like Thai tea and I like matcha so I loved the combination. No flavor overpowered the other. -[Love Yuzu*]: A little sweet but I think the tartness of the drink balances it out. - [Crab Rangoons]: I thought there was too much cream cheese in the filling. - [Lamb Massamun Curry*]: The curry is a little bit on the sweet side and the lamb wasn't that tender but the flavors were really good. I liked the addition of the curry egg fried rice.- [Seafood Volcano*]: With a name like Seafood Volcano, I was expecting more than stir-fried seafood with vegetables. But, overall, the dish was tasty. I love the flavor of Thai basil.Would I go back? : Probably not because I live near Tiki Thai and the menu items aren't so different that it warrants the drive over. But I do like the upscale ambiance of Sense of Thai better. It's definitely a date night or celebratory kind of restaurant. Sense of Thai is more accurately a 3.5 but I rounded up because of the overall atmosphere of the place.
