Sara's Market Georgetown

This is as neighborhood-small business as it gets. I specifically came to try the market's small deli in the back. They keep the menu small, but everything sounds amazing. I got one of the freshly made paninis - the Prosciutto Mozzarella Arugula Tomato and Pesto. While waiting for the order, I walked around the shop, a great option for shopping for a party or night-in or grabbing snack. The wine collection is small, but diverse. Big plus for a lot of Asian brands, too. The warm panini made it the 20-minute walk home warm and still fresh. The ingredients complimented each other well - think the strong flavor of the sun-dried tomato with the mozzarella and prosciutto. Really great option for lunch if you are in Georgetown and want to try something off M St. or Wisconsin!

Sara's market is an adorable spot in Georgetown that sells hot sandwiches, snacks, wine, and more. They also have a dry cleaning service attached to the market. The store is immaculate and stocked nicely. Would 100% come back again!

I'd walked by Sara's a few times and finally stopped in to try this weekend on the way to the pool. I tried the turkey panini (made to order so a little bit of a wait) which was really good! I also had the mango iced tea which was also good, and got some snacks for the pool. There's a (limited) sandwich menu for lunch and lots of snacks/drinks/wine available. Service was friendly and fast. Cute little local place!

Sara's Market was recently taken over by the fine folks who run Dent Place Market over in G'town West Village. Much like Dent Place Market, Sara's sells high quality local products, and pantry staples, along with the best fresh made sandwiches, coffee, and pasta salads.They also offer dry cleaning, and a wide selection of wines and beers.The owners are incredibly kind and friendly, and are 100% committed to making their two markets neighborhood staples.

I was already a big fan of Dent Place Market, so it was thrilling to learn that the same team bought Sara's after the other one closed. Sara's has a century-old tradition in Georgetown, and it was important to keep it going. My favorite thing at this location that you can't get at the Dent Place store is a made-to-order salad. Thankful that this fun little team seems to be thriving post-pandemic.

I took my kid there after school one day. Great place for Dad to take his 12-year-old to talk about difficult subjects, or for Dad to get good advice.There's something special going on here. Thank you Sara's.

The people there know my order by heart, the expensive wines are ABSOLUTELY worth it and handpicked by the incredible and well educated staff. Must go!!!
