Reliable Thai food. This place has been open for years. I have been here for happy hour, lunch, and dinner on multiple occasions. Service is always quick. The food is always reliable and good.

Went to Sanphan on a snowy Tuesday night. The restaurant was actually quite busy, but the service was efficient, and friendly. After ordering, our food came out hot and fresh in just a few minutes. I don't really consider myself an expert on Pad Thai, but this was a great dish and I enjoyed every bite. My wife had the Panang curry and I could've seen myself eating a full order of that as well. We will definitely be back if we are in the neighborhood.

Spotted this restaurant across the street after leaving Trader Joe's. Meals on the lunch menu were still available and everything we ate was delicious, hot and fresh! The vibe is a hole in the wall Thai restaurant but it might be the best I've had in DC in a long time. The service was fast. I will definitely make this spot a regular visit when I'm in the area.

I've been a couple of times recently trying the Green Curry and the Yellow Curry. This trip, I had the Panang Curry. All were pretty good. This is a tasty neighborhood choice. Friendly and efficient service. They do a lot ofntake out judging by the Uber pickups. The food isn't too spicy and the ingredients are fresh. Close to Eastern Market Metro. Parking is street. Give them a try.

I haven't been here in a while. I love love love this place. This is an old gem for me. The service is still great and the food is still amazing. I love the feel of this restaurant in the inside. It's super cozy inside. This was my friend's first time and they really enjoyed their meals. We ate from all three of the plates. The drink was delicious too.

Came here for an early dinner with high hopes and a happy hour deal! The crispy tofu and spring rolls were good but I was honestly not that impressed by the food. It was pretty average Thai food and wasn't that flavorful really either. I got the pad Thai with chicken so maybe a curry would have been a better way to go but it was overall just okay. The waiters were very nice though, we had a spilled drink and they brought us a new one which was nice.

I stumbled into Sanphan Thai on a Sunday afternoon with friends after visiting Eastern Market. It was pretty empty when we walked in so we were quickly seated but more people came in over time.We ordered the See Eu Tofu, Panang curry, Veggie Pad Thai and Thai Iced Tea. Everyone loved their food. I personally thought the food was just okay but we all agreed the Thai Iced Tea was amazing! If you're in the area I'd recommend this spot if you want a relaxed setting for lunch or to catch up with friends.

My partner and I have always thoroughly enjoyed our meals here. She's always gotten the Basil Tofu, and even as a non-tofu lover, it's been her fav for years. It's always consistently full of flavor and perfectly cooked. I honestly enjoy it a lot myself. Personally I'm a huge pad thai lover and that have a great lunch special $12.95 (plus you get a crispy spring roll). Yum. I also love that they offer thai beer & drinks - makes it even better! I've also had a the pad see ew several times before that I enjoy as well. If you get something spicy and used to it - beware! Thai spice is spicy!!I always miss Thailand when i'm here. the food is fresh, tasteful, and consistent. The service is usually pretty good, but on the slower side inside. Majority of time I get the food to go though. The ambiance is very casual & chill.I'd recommend this place & will keep coming back!

Came in for lunch with a friend on a Monday and had a very pleasant time. No one was there then, and there was plenty of seating available. I liked that calm ambiance - it made it easy to have a conversation over lunch. The lunch specials were a great deal - around $14 per plate - and came with a healthy quantity of food. My friend and I both had leftovers to take home. We tried the cashew chicken and the pad see ew with pork. Both were quite delicious, and the meat was tender. Nothing special, but it didn't have to be. It was exactly what we hoped for. As an appetizer, we got calamari. It was okay. Didn't come with a ton of squid, and it wasn't noteworthy. Not bad though. They gave us complimentary veggie egg rolls with our food, which was a plus. No complaints service-wise. I also noticed that they have a solid happy hour deal! $3 beers and $5 or $6 wine between 4:30-8pm on weekdays! Might have to come back to check it out.
