Sammy's Carry-Out

It brings me no pleasure in saying this. This is absolutely...the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life. Like it was legit terrible. I am not a complaining customer but it was really bad. Terrible. I ordered general tso chicken. It was 100% obvious they cooked it in the fish grease. I had a second opinion and they agreed. Do not order from this place. I'd give them zero stars if I can. I was legit insulted. It tasted like fish. I am not lying. They do no care about their customers. This was probably in the bottom 3 takeout I have ever had in my life. Bottom 2 in fact. Bottom two and they're not two. Yeah. Don't do it. You've been warned!

Some things Sammy's does are excellent. Not always consistent though. Love the chicken rice soup with a layer of chicken and the salty broth and crunchy noodles. The egg rolls are also right on and consistent. This has been my go to dinner place when working in the PG ER for the past 6 years because of the soup and fried wontons. The Gen Tsos chicken, beef and shrimp dishes are generous in the food they give. Kung pao dishes are spicy but not painful. They have always been reasonably priced. There is a small delivery fee. And the French fries are crispy, mid thickness and always hot enough to mildly melt the container.

This is my spot. Lunch special is a great deal! My go-to is the sesame chicken (I ask for it spicy though) with fried rice. Their subs are great and the fries even better. I'm still trying to figure out what they sprinkle on the fries because it's not just salt.. i think it's a seasoned salt like Adobo Goya or something!Order, try it, review it. Staff's friendly, great lunch portion, great price.

Ordered Chicken n Fries and I got 3 measly wings!!! I made the mistake of ordering a Pizza from these guys, yep I know anyhoos ffffinnnn raw undercooked crust!!!STAY AWAY STAY AWAY !!!! Check out there reviews I wish I had!!!

Ordered there pepper steak and the meat was not cooked when the driver arrived to give me my money back he says this cant be my food I told him I already talk to your manager it's from you

Fried wontons were chewy and tough. Shrimp fried rice was fried rice with a few shrimp tossed on the top of the package.Hunan chicken and G.Tso were good, as recommended. The "cheesesteak egg roll" thing was ... funny.Overall, happy with the meal.P.S. Forgot to mention: Everything wasn't quite ready, so they comped the shrimp fried rice. Very nice of them.

Just ordered a very salty steak and cheese from this rip off spot ask for fries don't get called them back they said i.did not ask for fries so i.tell him who going to pay 24 dollars for thiner. Than subway sandwich 3 and 3 soda i.sent some one else to pick up the order because I would have sent it back people was so hungry they have already started eating but anyway stay away from this ridiculously expensive spot if i.could gave it no stars i.would have

Need something cheap, try Sammy's but don't try everything. Stick to the Hunan Chicken and Chicken with Vegetables lunch specials for $5.50 including a soda. Stay away from the Cheese Steak sandwich and General Tsao's Chicken.

I've tried quite a few Chinese restaurants in Hyattsville and this is definitely my favorite and "go to!" The steak & cheese egg roll is a must! Other good dishes - Kung Pao Chicken, Chicken with Cashews, Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, and General Tso's Chicken. They don't use MSG by default, so no need to ask, which is nice. There is quite a bit of a language barrier as I always have to spell our street name which is AMERICA, so that is a little annoying, but it's worth being patient to get some good food!

Decent food and mumbo sauce if you can get pass the drunks in the parking lot. Service was cool, but the bums are not. I won't be back
