Everything we had here was delicious! We came for the all you can eat menu and ordered several dishes to share. We tried Corn Fritters, Tempura Set, Chicken Karaage, Garlic Cucumber, Ebi & Momo yakitori, Tuna & Salmon nigiri, Rainbow, Sea King, & Crazy Dragon rolls, Spicy Tori hot pot dish, and Shrimp Tempura Udon. Not sure why, but they were only offering the $45 dinner menu during our lunch but it's so worth it. We didn't think we had excess leftovers at all (seriously just a few random bites and even our server said he wouldn't have charged us) but apparently the female manager thought it was excess and charged us on our bill. Besides that, service was great. The inside is pretty large and decorated beautifully. They have a big bar in the middle right as you walk in with nicer dining on the right and casual dining with high tops on the left. It seems there's been some bartender issues and they couldn't offer cocktails given they had no bartender onsite. They could only offer wine, beer, and sake from their drink menu. We did try a couple different bottles of their sakes which were really good.We both really enjoyed dining here and getting to try several items. The dishes were prepared relatively quickly and everything was flavorful and tasty. Definitely a great all you can eat with a ton of options to choose from!

Tried this spot on a random Friday night because we were craving sushi and yakitori. We quickly learned they had an AYCE option, which instantly raised red flags in my head, but given that most of what we wanted was on the AYCE menu, we decided to try it.The waitress admitted the servings were a little smaller but we could order as much as we wanted as long as we didn't waste and it was within 90mins -- typical rules and glad she was clear up front. We started with the shrimp buns, dumplings, fries -- all of which were surprisingly really good! Then ended up getting beef fried rice, a couple specialty sushi rolls, and yakitori. The beef fried rice was standard, good but nothing to write home about. The sushi was good, but some of our end pieces had very little seafood, which would have been worse if it wasn't AYCE. The yakitori was standard and satisfied my craving; wasn't the best or most memorable I've ever had but the meat was tender and flavorful and exactly what you'd expect.Service was good but a little slow at times. Drinks were ok. I would probably come back for AYCE if I was really hungry or with some guy friends, because it's a pretty good deal at $45 and a huge variety.

For Valentine's Day, I was looking for a last-minute reservation and found Sakaki Izakaya in Arlington with an opening at 5 PM. As we approached, I grabbed the first available street parking nearby since my wife was wearing heels. To my delight, the entrance was decorated with red lanterns for a great photo opportunity of the wife. We were seated near the bar at a romantically lit table and were offered the happy hour menu. I took advantage of the drink specials while we opted for the all-you-can-eat option. The catch, something I actually agree with, excess waste incurs a 20% fee, which encourages mindful ordering. The experience starts with a selection from a limited menu of appetizers , (yakitori, rolls, or nigiri), signature rolls, and rice/noodle dishes. After that, you can order freely, making for a controlled yet fun dining experience. The music was great, and we had two attentive servers who were very helpful.A special touch, my wife was presented with a rose for Valentine's Day, which made the evening even more memorable. The food and overall experience were excellent

We came during Valentine's weekend and had the buffet style for $45 per person. I loved this concept because sushi can tend to get pretty expensive. I'm not sure if we ate enough for $45 per person, but it def feels worth. We really enjoyed the skewers and nigiri. The brussel sprouts were unexpectedly very salty, which is difficult since they only take away plates that are completely finished and may charge for leftovers but the food comes so slow that I lose my appetite between the rounds. My favorite thing was the biscotti cheesecake. I was so full but still loved that so much. The restaurant vibes are private yet fun with the colorful/dark decor.

Wow this spot is DELICIOUS! Every bite was so satisfying and made me want to try all the appetizers on the menu! I chose the 'all you can eat' option on the menu. (It is not the only option, you can order items from a regular menu)Hotatekai (Scallop) and Butabara (Pork belly) were my favorites. The decorations along the walls and ceiling were very interesting and pleasing to the eye. Unforgettable picture in my mind for sure! The servers were kind snd made sure order's came out correctly and fixed any mistakes right away. Thank you to the hostess that nice who greeted me so kindly with a big smile. Wonderful spot!

Definitely the worst restaurant I've been to in a recent memory. I stumbled upon this restaurant on Instagram and then looked it up on Yelp and it seemed to be very popular; the food also *looked* good in pictures. I realized that they offer an unlimited lunch menu and an unlimited dinner menu so I thought what better way to give this new (to me) restaurant a shot. Upon arrival, the hostess greeted me and my brother and let us know that the unlimited dinner menu had a hard 90 minute limit and that the 90 minute limit would start as soon as we were seated. We were seated and we placed an order for a few items immediately. Despite the fact that the menu is unlimited and there is a 90 minute time limit, service was extremely slow. Every time we place an order, there was at least a 10 to 15 minute waiting time before any items were delivered to our table. The long weight periods between dishes, continued for the duration of our time here. Aside from the very slow service, the food was subpar at best. All of the nigiri were very small and the quality of fish was questionable. As far as the specialty rolls, there was not a lot of variety, and most of them had either a tempura element or a spicy mayo element, which only serves to hide the flavor of the rice and the fish. One roll we ordered was literally covered in spicy mayo, which was very hard to eat around as the flavor of the sushi was drowned. In addition to sushi rolls and nigiri, we ordered a few hot dishes, and none of them stood out. And when I say "none of them stood out," I mean that NONE of them were actually good. All of the grilled skewer dishes involved very small pieces of seafood that were overcooked. We also ordered a cast-iron rice dish that was quite flavorless. The tempura was also a let down as the tempura dipping sauce lacked the usual flavor that one would expect from tempura dipping sauce. Truth be told, I enjoyed nothing about my experience and I am pissed that I paid $45 per person for what amounted to mall-quality Japanese food. TL;DR: NOT good Japanese food-- not even close. Slow service. Save your money.

Absolutely loveee the ambiance and our server Daniel! He was fun and on top of all of our orders. We came here for our friend's birthday and had a great time. The food was pretty good overall. My favorites were the king salmon foie gras and eel foie gras but let's be honest.. I'm just a sucker for foie gras Would definitely come back again for the vibes and staff alone!

The food at Sakaki is some of the best I've had, and there is a great variety of drinks to choose from. Our server Michelle was helpful and gave wonderful recommendations. Easily one of the better restaurants I've eaten at, and one I hope to come back to soon!
