Ruff N Ready Crab House

No frills, take out crab house. Crabs are well seasoned and meaty. Crab legs are well cooked. Shrimp are sometimes slightly overcooked but are mostly well made. If you need crabs on the go, hit them up.

You guys know this is my go to spot ! I went randomly on a Monday after work. No customers, so I was in and out . They were out of females so I did males . They were okay... a few were a little mushy and the others were fine ! Yes I know it's not crab season but I still like to get my fix , here and there :)

Always a go to on crabs, I'm glad they're still in business. Prices are similar to most places and the service is great.

This is a hidden gem here in the Washington D.C. area. We're visiting our daughter but want to try the famous Maryland Blue Crabs without driving to Baltimore and we found this restaurant thru Yelp and it was awesome. They have fresh crabs that are huge and priced competitively. The meat is sweet and succulent and the best blue crabs we've had. The only draw back is they don't have a dining area but that's ok. Buy your own beer and a get bushel is the way to go.

Been here 5-6 times in the past couple of years. An old school dmv crab shack. Carryout only but generally has good deals or at least fair market pricing. Staff is always nice. Go early if you want live crabs otherwise they sell mostly already cooked crabs which are still very good.

Ruff-n-ready is not known only for there "Blue Crabs".. Lets be clear, this is always a go to after my regularly trip to the Barbershop! Shout out to my barber Cheta! I'll do a separate review for him next. The shrimp is almost always seasoned to perfection. Nice and hot out of the steamer. This is literally a pit stop before the real meal. Service is quick and precise, get in and get out. This is definitely a place you have to visit if you're in the are Eastern Ave or Chillium Rd. area. Trust me you won't be disappointed!

Always good service. Staff are friendly. Crabs and spiced shrimp are on point. Delicious Bay crabs during the season and decent crabs from down south during off season.
