Rose Ave is amazing. Just tried their Ube starfruit pastry, which was a little denser than the donuts (in a good way) and tasted amazing. I also had a black sesame donut and a passionfruit donut, which were also amazing and fluffy. I've also had the Saigon banana coffee in the past, which is also amazing.Recommend going on the earlier side if you can, the line is continuously out the door between 10-12p, and maybe earlier! It does move relatively quickly though

There was already a line before opening at 9am. We arrived close to 9am on a Saturday morning and were probably the first 10 customers in line. By the time we lined up not long after a long line formed behind us. So menus change often as some of the items I wanted wasn't available this day :( I wanted to try the Vietnamese coffee/ube tiramisu! Hopefully next time. crab Rangoon 8.5/10 Pandan donut 8/10Saigon hot banana latte 9/10Hojicha latte 5/10

The hype about this bakery is for sure true!As a recent transplant from Southern California I loved the fact that they were donating proceeds to the fire relief so it was the perfect time to try them out.I have had a lot of donuts, but these were honestly some of the best I have ever had. I went with the passion fruit filled, milk bread with vanilla glaze and a savory garlic pastry. They melted in your mouth. I wish I tried more, but now I have a reason to go back. The passion fruit iced tea was also delicious.Highly recommend!

One of my favorite bakeries in DC! Popular for a reason. Classic pastries with subtle Asian flavor twists - think scallion croissants and ube donuts. Must try their donuts! They are light as air, have great texture from the sugar coating and are not overly sweet. My favorite flavor donut is the Banoffee donut. They've got ample options, both sweet and savory, which I appreciate from a bakery. I love when they have fun specials too! Their drink menu is also delicious - the banana cinnamon latte and the mango matcha are favs.

Rose Ave Bakery is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth and an appreciation for creative, Asian-inspired flavors! I ordered the Ube latte and the Ube cranberry pudding, and both were a treat. The latte was strong, with just the right amount of earthy sweetness, while the pudding felt as seasonal as it was unique. One of the highlights here is their malasada-style donuts, stuffed with bold flavors such as Ube and pandan. These classics are an absolute crowd favorite, and for good reason -- they're fluffy, flavorful, and utterly addictive. The bakery's seasonal offerings keep things exciting, with new creations rotating every couple of weeks. A word of advice: if you're planning to visit on a weekend, arrive early! The line was already out the door when I got there, and many of their popular pastries sell out by noon.Beyond the pastries, the ambiance here is cute and inviting. The cherry blossom wall decor adds a charming, whimsical touch, making it the perfect backdrop for catching up with a friend or snapping a quick photo (if you manage to snag a seat). Rose Ave Bakery is truly a gem for inventive pastries, fun flavors, and a lovely setting. Don't miss out!

Everything is amazing. Just go. The inside space could be maintained better but they do have a patio outside or just take it to go :)

There was street parking and I was able to easily park with no issues. The line took about 25 minutes and I was able to get my items quickly. The customer service was efficient and friendly. I ordered1) curry tart-it was very underwhelming. It was mostly crust and maybe a tablespoon of filling. The filling was not that flavorful to me.2) strawberry passion fruit kouign Annan-the filling was delicious and this was the best item i tired here. The pastry was nice and flaky. However, it'd of been better if there was more filling;the filling to pastry ratio was very uneven. 3)Coconut Mochi Puffs-these had a good texture and were pretty decent.4) Garlic scallion bun-the pastry was good and the flavor was ok. it might have tasted better if it was warm.5) Ube Ensy-the flavoring here was pretty decent. Overall the pastry was flaked and good but the only thing I'd go back for is the passion fruit pastry. The menu was also quite different than what was in the restaurant.

This is a great spot to sit down, get some work done, and enjoy a nice sip. The Vietnamese iced coffee is not strong enough for my liking though not bad. The pastry was pleasantly delicious. Sweet enough to fulfill my sweet tooth craving, but not too sweet where it becomes unbearable. The service was also amazing. Highly recommend to come check out!

Truly one of my favorite bakeries in the area. I've tried a variety of their pastries, and they do have a few items that they change up every week which is a nice treat. I think the crab rangoon savory pastry is a constant pastry and it's my favorite savory pastry. Their passion fruit donut is another go to for me as well. If there's a line, it moves pretty quickly. Either way, their goods are worth the wait! Seating is limited but if the weather is decent, outdoor seating seems to open up frequently. When it comes to logistics, I've been lucky enough to find street parking pretty quickly, might have had to walk a block or two at most.
