Beautiful location! Skip it! Not worth it. Red flags- 1) with a reservation we were on time and seated for 20 mins before acknowledgment- and there was one other table. 2) can't see prices on the menu online 3)no wine list and waiter couldn't name the wines or how much they were. 4) pool open to the public with large screen playing wrestling 5) pool loungers encroach into restaurant area 6) drink service takes forever 7) wine finally served on last bite of our burgers 8) dirty bathrooms and no paper 9) waiters reports he will retire in 5 years at age 35 and his back hurtsThe service here is so bad- really! The prices are probably so high to pay for the free to the public poolWill never go back! Lots of better rooftops around town.The high reviews below are bought and bs. Look at the ones with one star- we are all saying the same thing- authentically.

Amazing service! My family and i visited and were very impressed by the services provided by Kim! She has great energy! We hope to come back to see the view and will hopefully get Kim again.. highly recommend the Rooftop Kitchen!

We ordered two drinks and waited for an hour -- but they never came. Our waiter finally came to our table to apologize and say that he was sending the manager over -- I assumed to apologize to us. Instead, she accused us of starting a "tiff" (we never said a word), did not apologize, and rolled her eyes when I asked for the check. Truly one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had and I would not recommend.

We had a wonderful birthday dinner at Rooftop Kitchen. The food was excellent, service was exacting and who wouldn't love sitting on a rooftop with a cool breeze blowing sipping champagne. A special shout out to Kim who is gracious, lovely and ensured all our needs were met.

We tried the rooftop kitchen recently as we'd just moved into City Ridge and were excited to try the restaurant right in our doorstep. From start to finish it was an unpleasant experience we won't rush to repeat. The 'welcome' by the manageress was unfriendly, even though we were super excited to try the place, she couldn't have been less interested. The place was practically empty, only about another 2 covers, so hardly jam packed and struggling for seating, but still they stuck us right by the kitchen, which was smelly and not the best view. We ordered the hummus to start, which was tasty, my husband had the burger, which was also tasty and I had the chicken noodle dish, which was pretty unpalatable to say the least, basically ramen noodles with a lump of chicken and brown gravy. We hadn't even finished the starter before they brought out the food (and my husbands burger had been sat on the hot plate for at least 5 mins, remember I could see it all because they had seated us at the table looking directly into the kitchen) which was annoying as the tables are really small and there was no reason to do so, it was hardly busy for them to not be able to manage their food effectively. The wine is served in plastic glasses, which if we were seated outside I could perhaps understand, but inside , makes no sense. It also has a detrimental effect on the taste of the wine. We ordered a cab sauv, and had to wait a very long time for our drinks to arrive. We were never asked about the food, and we had to hunt someone down for a refill, because no one was interested - they gave us the wrong wine when it eventually arrived. The atmosphere was non existent, the restaurant was cold, the indifferent manageress spent her time on her laptop at the bar, the service was bad and half the food was terrible. It's such a shame because it's literally on our doorstep but unless we were desperate, we wouldn't go again. I was chatting to another resident the other day and she had an almost identical story. Overpriced, bad service, mediocre food, a real shame.

Amazing view of the cathedral from the highest point in DC! The spicy pepp pizza is to die for! So delicious. The drinks are always so refreshing and the service is always friendly.

One of the most shockingly horrible dining experiences I've ever had. Wait staff was rude, inattentive, and openly hostile at times, especially a bartender named Octavia. I waited 45 minutes for a pizza and eventually left without eating because no one on staff would tell me what was going on. There is something seriously wrong with this place.

I was charged $12 for two cans of Coke even though I probably did not get in total one whole can of Coke. Who charges six dollars for a Coke? And then charges for a refill while th first one was not even fully dispensed?The restaurant should also note that there are slivered onions on the burger. I found this out when I bid into it and unfortunately onions are my least favorite food. The staff was overwhelmed so did not bother pushing for a new one, but this evening was not this restaurant finest moment.
