The roof top at Roofers Union gives a great view of the city. Their drink menu is standard. We had some Modelos and sat watching the skyline. The playist was wacky. It was a mix of Eminem and country hits I've never heard before. The vibes were good. People were socializing and having a good time! I would come back again another time.

Stopped in for brunch and were able to be seated on the roof which was great for enjoying food on a beautiful day! The food was pretty decent. I think the idea of a mimosa board is cool. Basically a board with smoked salmon, a bagel, capers, cream cheese, tomatoes and onion and comes with a mimosas. Definitely would come back again

I stopped by the rooftop bar with a friend to have dinner on a beautiful spring evening. The rooftop bar has a tent on top of it that made it feel surprisingly cramped. However, the view from the edge was great and we found a nice spot on stools with a ledge for our food and drinks. Unfortunately, the food was just not great. I had fish and chips with fries and it was really average. The fries were not great at all. They have a rooftop only menu, but the fish and chips are on the normal menu so I'm not sure what other food items are like. The service was pretty absent too, which I honestly expected because it's pretty much like a bar. I think in the future I would come here for a drink but not for the food. There are probably better rooftop spots in the area.

Such a picturesque spot for a little sunset rooftop drink. Pictured are the views around sunset of the Adams Morgan area. The drinks themselves were typical DC prices and I was a fan of the lychee martini. Would definitely recommend if in the area! It was just really crowded and loud so would caution against those looking for a quiet chill place.

Haven't been here for a while and on a late Sunday afternoon this is one of the few restaurants on 18th Street that serves food during the in between lunch and dinner hours. They now have a curbside patio seating area set up with colorful long tables and benches which is covered and shaded and a very pleasant place to sit on a hot summer day. Only thing is if seating there instead of in the dining room upstairs this is the downstairs bar area so can only order from the patio bar menu, which is ok with us as there is burger and fish and chips which is exactly what we wanted anyway. Service was good and food came quickly. Price reasonable although not the largest portions. All in all it's a long established nice neighborhood restaurant with reliable food and service.

We got drinks on the rooftop and dinner in the dining hall one floor down. The roof would be SO much better if uncovered... the view from the dinner floor was beautiful - I love the huge windows. The vibe and atmosphere is AMAZING! The service was veryyyyy slow and the food/drinks were good but not amazing - but will 100% be back! The happy hour was solid!

The drinks are high quality, the bartenders are fun and interactive, and nothing beats the rooftop view of Admo

If you are looking for somewhere with very casual dining in the Adams Morgan area - this could be a good spot for you. From the pictures online, we were hoping to eat on the rooftop, but that was closed and not open (even with a reservation).Similar to what some of the other reviews mention (which I unfortunately didn't check before visiting), the dinner menu has a limited selection of options. There is also very little interaction/engagement with the severs or staff, as orders are made through a QR code on each table. One thing this does mean is that food and drinks come really quickly - so, if you're short on time... This could be a good option for you.I tried the chicken wings, Bucatini pasta, and sampled the friend chicken thigh sandwichwhich was okay.Overall it was an okay dining experience.

Still one of the best around, but sadly only open for one more week, so try them one last time while you still can! They have been here nearly 10 years, it really feels like losing an institution.

Some people will remember the feeling Baltimore Colts fans had (and still have) when the team stole away in the middle of the night and became the Indianapolis Colts, being so lame that they kept the name and uniform. The same is true now with the new version of Roofer's Union. They have a lot of nerve keeping the name but not upholding the attributes that made this a fun bar to visit. Crappy beer and lame service is no way to keep or draw old customers. For a place that had a reputation as a leading gastropub downtown, the beer list alone is a travesty. Still has great views, but it leaves a lot to be desired.
