Food was tasty. Well priced, atmosphere was pleasant, service was nice and you can tell their menu is made with love.It's a nice place to grab a drink, I'll most definitely be back for happy hour.

My lady and I made brunch reservations at Riviera Tapas Bar for noon, and let me just say, it was an experience! The atmosphere was lively, the drinks were flowing nonstop, and the staff were beyond incredible friendly, attentive, and always smiling.We tried a little bit of everything: the empanadas were crispy and packed with flavor, the meatballs were tender and perfectly seasoned, the fried yuca was a game-changer, and the French toast? Absolutely decadent. Every dish brought something unique to the table, and you could tell a lot of care went into the preparation.I even accidentally broke a glass (oops!), but the staff handled it like pros, staying calm, helpful, and focused on keeping the vibe upbeat. Their exceptional service turned what could have been an awkward moment into a minor blip in an otherwise amazing experience.If you're looking for a place with great food, flowing drinks, and top-notch service, Riviera Tapas Bar is it!

This was second time going to Riviera Tapas and both times did not disappoint! It is the perfect spot for after work drinks. The happy hour has amazing prices and has a lot more menu options than most other places in the area. Service was also fast even as the restaurant became progressively busier, which is a plus.I especially enjoyed the patatas bravas. They were perfectly crispy and the sauce had great depth of flavor! The empanadas were also cooked well and the drinks were refreshing.

Riviera Tapas Bar missed the mark for me. The waiters all walked by without acknowledging me until I flagged one down personally for assistance - not a good sign. The venue was nice; clean and well lit however the food left much to be desired. I ordered the fried calamari and crab risotto balls. The calamari was extremely salty, I didn't finish the dish. The crab risotto was very dry. I did order a drink, that was actually pretty good.

Riviera has solid tapas and other Spanish-inspired dishes at reasonable prices. The fried calamari was surprisingly tender, although I am always a tad disappointed when it is only rings that are served, sans tentacles. The scallops were served atop a mound of potato puree - a svelt combination. The garlic shrimp and especially its sauce was indeed garlicky, though the bread to sop it up with was not great. All in all, a satisfying meal with only minor points to quibble with. I see this as a pleasant neighborhood place that is not fancy in its food or its prices, and that, fellow diners, is often just what one needs.

I've started career #2 in the Hyattsville area in 2020 and I thought I knew it all.. Sike! She couldn't wait to Hip me to some game and took me here. Talk about a diamond hiding in plain site.. Geeezus! Tapas style restaurants are probably my fav. I mean, you get to try several items in one seating.. who doesn't love that? We've been twice and so far we've tried the sautéed shrimp, lamb chops, bacon wrapped dates, grilled octopus, grilled pork chop, and jumbo scallops. For this being a neighborhood store front restaurant, the quality of the food made us think we were on K Street NW. Absolutely delicious!! The signature cocktails and the attentive friendly service matched the food!If you want a great dining experience in beautiful downtown Riverdale..LOL, please come to Riviera Tapas Bar, you will LOVE IT!!

Riviera Tapas Bar started off across the street and has been a staple in the Riverdale community for years.Had not been to this new location but finally made it in today for date night! Happy hour is HAPPY! Drinks and food menu for those who want a bargain. Wednesday - Happy Hour is till 8 p.m. Let's get into it! Datiles - Sweet with a salty taste! Yum! Glad my date ordered this! Yummy!!!!!! Gambas al Ajillo - Shrimp with Garlic Butter White Wine Sauce - Super super yummy! Bruselas - Steamed Brussel Sprouts with Garlic & Butter - Oh Yea! Steamed! Wasn't bad at all. Like it! Chuletitas De Cordero - Grilled Herb Lamb Chops with Fingerling Potatoes in a Demi- Glace Sauce - I liked it, my date said it was made Perfectly! Can't opine as I've never tried lamb chops. (Don't judge me) Vieiras A La Plancha- Pan Seared Blackened Scallops with Cauliflower Puree , Pine Nuts, Raisins & Butter Sauce - Exceeds expectations! Drink- Paloma was yummy! The garnish was a bit old tasting but the drink was perfect! My Date tried all sorts of drinks, and had no complaints! Definitely coming back! Love this is just a short walk away from home.

Tucked away in Riverdale, I'm really happy I stumbled upon Riviera Tapas! I stopped by for brunch and while the service was slow to start, once we were able to order, everything went smoothly. Some highlights for the bottomless drinks and food options included their mussels, empanadas, rice and patatas bravas. I also liked having different options for the bottomless drinks ... as a sangria lover, this was a huge plus. I will definitely be back for brunch but also looking forward to checking out their dinner menu too.

Finally made it here. I've had this place bookmarked for awhile now. A friend and I met up on Tuesday.Parking is easy as there's a parking lot right there. Not sure if payment is required. I just parked and went right in.They had happy hour going on. Ends at 6 except on Wednesday when it goes until 8! I tried the paloma cocktail - it was ok. For food, I did the steak tacos. The meat had flavor, but the tortillas fell apart. Yikes! I would come back. The brunch menu looks good! Service was good. Cheers!
