Great spot to stop for a drink and some food. The drinks we had were one mezcal soul and river club gin basil. Both were good and well balanced. Mezcal drink was smokey but not overpowering had a nice kick 7 spice but was rich with the egg whites. Gin basil was equally well balanced and tasted well.Food wise we got the charred chicken and whipped labneh. Both were well balanced and tasty. The chicken had the perfect balance of smoky char and seasoning to make everything pop. Chicken was tender and tastes great. Labneh was well balanced with the harissa. The heat from the harissa was well balanced against the richness of the yogurt. The lemon juice added some nice acidity.Service was nice and friendly and helped us pick out drinks that would match our taste. Definitely has a upscale interior but its fun and a great place to go for just a drink or dinner.

Refined dining experience inspired by Italy, Lebanon, and Spain in its favors, Mezze style service, and beautifully curated decor. I recommend starting the night off right with the sweet but savory Charred Chicken skewer paired with the Mujadara basmati rice w/ tzatziki --probably the best dish on the menu. The rice was good too! The River Club Paella w/ poached Maine lobster and bomba rice came highly recommended by staff. Although seasoned, it almost felt like it was just enough to not be bland but not enough to leave a strong impression. Granted this is Mezze style, the service was a bit slow. Definitely an area for improvement. Overall: Perfect for date night, entertaining guests with a refined palate or those looking to try something new

relatively empty because it is the night before inauguration + snow. service was friendly but made some mistakes (gave us papas bravas instead of gambas). the pita was very mid and not the fluffy leavened kind thats warm. the bread was on the spot, though. the pan con tomates was overrated. chilled tomatoes that weren't very flavorful. felt the same way with the cucumbers - couldve had more textural diversity. but all the meat dishes (skewers + gambas) were phenomenal. the marinades and sauces they used made the skewers juicy and sweet. and the gambas were sour and warm and rich and so good with the bread.tldr: veggies need to up the game. also maybe i shoukd t have listened to the server's recs.

River Club is a great spot for a fun night out! The vibe is lively, and I'd highly recommend sitting at or near the bar--it's so much fun to watch the bartenders craft drinks for everyone. The energy of the place really adds to the experience. The food was solid too. I had the prawns, and they did not skimp. As for dessert, I tried the bread pudding. It could've been a little less cooked, as it was a bit dry, but it still had a great flavor and I enjoyed it.

Came here for brunch during restaurant week and sat at the bar. The establishment is great inside with really cute decor. Definitely a vibe. I was intrigued by the weaving of cultural influenced from Lebanon, Italy and Spain. The server that attended to me at the bar was very attentive and kept checking in to make sure I was enjoying my meals. I started off with the blueberry French toast which was a hit. It was flavorful, light and too heavy. I next had the Pasta Limone which was okay--it was tasty but I think this would have been even better if given the choice to add a protein such as chicken or shrimp. I finished off with the churros with warm Nutella which were also delicious. Lastly, the affogato martini which reminded me of an espresso martini was SO good! I'd love to go back to River Club to experience options from the full dinner menu!

Had a great girls night dinner at River Club! The aesthetic was beautiful and I loved the decor inside. We were a party of 4 and decided to share plates family style in order to try different dishes. We got the croquetas, papas bravas, chicken skewers, lamb skewers, lemon pasta, and lobster paella. The croquetas, chicken and lamb skewers, and lemon pasta were the highlights for me. The skewers were really flavorful and the lamb pieces were very tender. The lemon pasta was delicious and the croquetas were really good too. Our waiter was very friendly and helped us pick the right dishes and drinks to order. Overall it was a good experience!

Went here to celebrate my birthday last week and had a great experience. From ambience to server and food, we had a great time! My favorite appetizer was the lamb belly, they are to die for I have to say they are better than pork belly in my opinion. We had dry aged steak with saffron butter, which was amazing very tender and flavorful. We also got the lobster paella, which was OK I didn't love it just because there wasn't enough meat in it, next time I will get the lemon pasta since it's so popular. One of my favorite dishes, believe it or not was the carrots, trust me don't underestimate them give it a try! To finish, we had baklava cheesecake. Our server was really nice and respectful, he always asked us if he could take the plate away instead of just taking it like many other servers would do. Can't wait to be back!

I was so excited to come here, but it was a big disappointment. Everything about it was odd. The location, the decor, the drinks, and the service. The decor really throws me off. There is no uniformity and it's all just kinda all over the place. It reminds me of a hotel luncheon room. It made me feel like I was dining in the Holiday Inn or something. The drinks were awful. Bizarre, watered down, and just not very flavorful. None of them were well made. I tried three cocktails and don't remember what any of them were called because they were all forgettable and tasted like water. Really disappointing since this is the same ownership as Residents, which is known for amazing cocktails. The hummus, pita, chicken skewers, roasted carrots, and mujadara were all good, thankfully. The mujadara (rice with lentils and cripsy onions) was excellent actually and the portion was pretty big. The chicken skewers are flavorful, but definitely on the small side.It took a long time to be acknowledged after we sat down, and people who sat down after us were attended to before us. The server was actually behaving very strangely the entire time, and we had to flag down other people to help us. We were also stuck in a corner next to a lady who kept screaming very loudly whenever she laughed, and no one said anything to her. The server was laughing right along with her though (instead of acknowledging us).

The location of this restaurant is really cool in Georgetown on the Washington Harbor. As other reviews have stated the decor and ambience is a little 1980's Miami / Golden Girls so you're not really sure what the vibe is when you enter.Things started off really well from a food and drink standpoint as we absolutely loved our small plates appetizers and first round of cocktails. Unfortunately, we were so hungry we didn't snap any pictures of our first course. But what our first course consisted of was hummus, chicken skewers, lamb belly skewers, and cucumber salad. Our main course was unfortunately the opposite flavor wise of what the prior course experience was. The paella had a very unique flavor, and as the menu described, it was a cross between paella and risotto. Where at first you think this could be really good, however, what it allows is for the rice to technically come out cooked at any consistency that is between risotto and paella. The steak while cooked well did not really have much flavor on its own, however, I guess the restaurant can say that is why it is accompanied by butter and a sauce ... but in my opinion steak should still be able to stand on its own without those accompaniments. The Limon pasta while cooked, wonderfully seemed to be a little off from a flavor standpoint. Additionally, our second round of drinks, which was recommended by our server, tasted like pure syrup. The desert was liked by half of our party ... when generally dessert is typically something that our entire party enjoys.Lastly, our service was mid ... while our server did his job, he did exactly the bare minimum and I am not sure if that is because a 20% service charge is already included for his tip.Overall, it was an interesting experience, but we are not banking on coming back for another meal.
