Rice & Spice is hands down my favorite local Thai restaurant, whether I'm dining in or grabbing takeout. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for a casual meal. But what really keeps me coming back is the unbeatable combination of price, quality, and quantity of food.The curry puffs are a must-try! They're perfectly flaky and stuffed with a flavorful filling that makes for a delicious appetizer. And if you love crispy dishes, the Thai Crispy Chicken is fantastic as well!

I've been to Rice & Spice a couple of times for dinner with my family. It's a small restaurant in Landsdowne Centre. Our go to dishes to order are the drunken noodles and crispy basil chicken. The drunken noodle is delicious. Great wok flavor, mild heat and not too oily. The crispy basil chicken was amazing and probably my favorite dish here! Lightly battered chicken with a crispy texture tossed in a soy basil sauce. Surprisingly the sauce did not make the chicken soggy at all. The service is good. Our waitress was attentive and checked in if we needed anything else. Even though the inside may not be busy, they do get a lot of take out orders.Overall, pretty good experience here and if you're in the mood for Thai food, come check this place out!

I'm so emotional rn. I visited this location for the second time. My knees have been extremely painful lately and I'm having to be assisted with a cane and as I approached the door of the restaurant, one of the employees who was doing paperwork at a table, stopped her work to come open the door for me and the same for when i left. I appreciate that tiny act of kindness so very much as you simply don't see it much anymore. Thanks Rice & Spice!!!!

Owners are super friendly. They have good lunch deals. I come here for the crispy duck - it is cooked to perfection, the texture and flavor is perfect, not a heavy coating and not greasy. The other Thai dishes are good as well, but I'm addicted to the duck.

5 on 5 stars for Rice and Spice! This cozy vintage family owned restaurant is packing the flavorful punch! This was my first time dining in and they did not disappoint. Vegan and vegetarian options galore starring the tasty vegetable soup - which totally wakes up your tastebuds. I also ordered the spring rolls - extra crispy and yummy with no weird mushroom overkill ;). For my entree shrimp lo mein - with modifications and plenty of spice. The ladies had everything on point and service was impeccable with a smile! They managed to run the to-go orders, dining room + kitchen with some wonder woman power! The wine and spirits list is decent and best consumed for flavor enhancement with each segment of the meal. I topped off this amazing foodie adventure with the mango sticky rice. So dine in or take out but either way, bless your tastebuds with Rice and Spice if you're in the DMV - the flavors are epic! #enjoygoodpeople :)

Solid 4/5!I've always passed by this place but never got a chance to give it a try. I was able to do so the other night with a friend and we both had a great experience here!The food: I went with my baseline of getting a Beef Pad Thai as my main entree. And surely enough, I was not disappointed. The flavor of the Pad Thai was great! Not too sweet, just right. And the flavor from all the ingredients mixed together were nicely seasoned. The portion was huge as well, it definitely left me leaving very full. The service: the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming! The restaurant is slightly small, but was very nice and cozy. It was clean and was delightful to dine at. Overall, this is a great spot for some Thai food! I'll be back again for sure.

Nice local place. Located in a strip mall with typical decor. Good service. If you are local or in the area, check them out. Whenever I go to a new Thai place, I like to base line with pad prik king. They had it and I actually ordered it. Then I saw "Karee Curry" on the menu and changed my order. I've not seen this word before. According to the menu it is a "Yellow Curry, coconut milk, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes and Onion." So then I figured out karee just means yellow (curry). Odd that the green and red curries on the menu didn't have the Thai word just green and red. Anyway, I love lots of vegetables with a protein in my curries. I don't like just a protein. So, since this had veggies, I decided to give it a try anyway. I call it mild. It was very tasty with good chunks of veggies and chicken. I would love to go back and try the pad prik king and the panang curry (one of my favorites).If you find yourself in the neighborhood, give them a try. What do you think?
