From the moment you walk in you know that this is a place that you will dream about. The staff is beyond kind, from making sure to account for dietary restrictions, walking you through the menu, and picking out the perfect entrees. We were here for dinner on a Monday and it was packed. Got a booth right in the middle where we could see all of the action from the kitchen, but never felt like we were in the way of anything. Our party got the three courses and it is such a deal for a little more than $60. We split nice bottle of a light red and shoutout to Robert for picking out the perfect pairing. Since there were a few of us we split all of the appetizers. Get the cabbage, I didn't think something so simple would be filling and flavorful. It is massive and grilled. The beets were also so good and so much food. The cheese was simple, but also perfectly tart and firm. Entrees were the highlight. The vodka pasta is so simple, but when it's cold you want a bowl of pasta and it does the job. Everyone loved the meals that they got. I really think my favorite thing was the garlic knots. Do yourself a favor and add at least one to your entree. They are famous for a reason and will live rent free in my head until the next time that I get to go here. Perfectly massive, soft, fresh garlic, and cheese. Dessert is never my favorite, but I loved the olive oil cake. I can see why this is the go to dessert on the menu. Just know it is cream, not ice cream when you take a bite. Coupled with the cherries, it is a delightful contrast. Throughout the meal multiple staff members came to check on us. We never ran out of water or wine. They took the time to crumb the table and replace our table wear between each course. Truly felt that we had received the best treatment. Gratuity is already included and they made it very clear on the menu and the receipt. Given how many restaurants do this I appreciated the clearness and also their level of service was beyond what we expected. Cannot say enough good things.

This review reflects my experience dining out with celiac disease, an autoimmune disorder that requires me to maintain a diet free of gluten (including cross contact).SERVICE: 4/5 starsDRINKS: 3.5/5 starsFOOD: 4/5 starsAMBIANCE: 5/5 starsVALUE: 3/5 starsOVERALL RATING: 3.5/5 stars (rounded up for Yelp rating)Earlier this week, friends and I dined at Reveler's Hour. I reserved a table for our six-person party on Resy exactly two weeks prior to the date on which I wanted to organize dinner; six is the largest party for which a reservation can be made online.Upon arrival, four of us were seated at a booth adjacent to the bar. The restaurant itself is intimate--very small with an open kitchen and mood lighting. It would be a great locale for a date.To start the night, we ordered a round of drinks. Unfortunately, the bar at Reveler's Hour does not stock orange juice, preventing me from ordering a Madras cocktail; instead, I chose a glass of Chenin blanc, which was only fine (I would not choose it again). When taking requests for dinner, the server asked if anyone at the table had a dietary restriction or food allergy. When I stated that I had celiac disease, the server walked me through options for appetizers and entrées; gluten-free choices are rather limited--available appetizers included the grilled Brussels sprouts and grilled radicchio; fazzoletti, cavatelli alla vodka, and chitarra were the safe pasta dishes (all of which would substitute in gluten-free pasta for a $4.00 supplement); and, of the available entrées, only the grilled half-chicken could be made gluten-free. I ordered the grilled half-chicken, on recommendation from the server. It did not disappoint: very juicy, well seasoned (spicy!), and gigantic; I took more than half of the dish home for dinner the next day. A separate server brought out my chicken, noting that it had been prepared safely for a gluten allergy. I did not experience symptoms of gluten exposure after dinner (that night or this week). After dinner, friends perused the dessert menu. For completeness of this review, I asked the server which options were gluten-free--they included the amaro budino and chocolate sorbet.Following dessert, we had a single person cover the total, using Venmo to split individual orders later. A 20-percent automatic gratuity was added to our bill prior to applying D.C. tax.Visiting Reveler's Hour was on my D.C. bucket list. I may return in the spring to try new seasonal dishes on their rotating menu.

I recently had dinner with a friend here. I liked the romantic ambiance inside featuring dim lighting which created the perfect setting for a date or catching up with friends. The bar is charming, and the cocktails are thoughtfully crafted and delicious. The service was standard. I like the concept of a changing menu, and I'm interested to return and explore other dishes in the future.Must-Try (5/5): Garlic Knots - These are the best garlic knots I've ever had. Perfectly garlicky and buttery, they had a crispy exterior with a moist, warm, and fresh interior.Still Good (4/5): Grilled Mushroom Panzanella, Roasted Cauliflower Arancini, Short Rib, Amaro Budino.Pass (3/5): Mezzaluna - While visually appealing, I found the combination of chili sauce, roasted butternut squash purée, cheese, and hazelnuts didn't quite work together; Olive Oil Cake - Unfortunately, this dessert didn't meet expectations. Compared to others I've tried, it was on the dry side.

I will not say the food is not good the food just wasn't something that I would recommend for myself or visit again compared to other returners I have eaten at. I understand the menu size but I wish there were more options. The service was great they did have a limited number of cocktail options and the option I chose I sadly hated. I think the food lacked flavor and depth it felt very simple but too simple. The bread was great ! The resturant is always packed so the food is good just sadly not my preference.

Awesome Italian spot in Adam's Morgan! They have a great wine list and really amazing pasta. It's the perfect spot to go for a cozy dinner and I'd recommend as a date spot! I'd also recommend a reservation but you can also usually walk in for a spot at the bar/bar area. You can do A La Carte or a 3 course menu; I usually go for A La Carte since honestly they have really awesome appetizers and I can never decided on just one. The menu options aren't huge so maybe not the best place for picky eaters or those with allergies but what they do, they do well! The Rigatoni alla vodka is my favorite; it's a very classic rendition. The portion sizes aren't massive so it's a great place to go and get a few things to share. Not the cheapest Italian in the city either, but an okay price for a nice night out occasionally! It's a really cute spot with solid food and a fantastic wine list!

Decent Italian food. We visited Reveler's Hour on a Sunday night, and it was less than half full. The music was an eclectic mix of 90s hip hop, classic rock, and more recent alternative music. A candle was placed at each table which combined with the lighting created an intimate ambiance. I tried the smoked eggplant Milanese. It was decent if a bit watery and under-seasoned. Overall, I would recommend Reveler's Hour for dinner if you are in the area, but I would not go out of your way to dine here.

I have to start by exclaiming how absolutely outstanding the garlic knots are here. A must order. You can also taste that the pastas here are made fresh, which is bolstered by fresh, seasonal ingredients. While only the garlic knots truly stood out to me, I really enjoyed the elevated level of service at a small neighborhood restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I loved sitting near the kitchen.

Met a friend for a week night dinner. Loved our seat: cozy booth perfect for ppl watching! Food was yummy and server was awesome! The reason for the 4 stars is I really did not like my drink. Yes, I could have sent it back; in fact the server offered to take it back but I decided I would push through and drink it. My drink was an espresso martini... their recipe includes Mezcal, something I do not like at all. The server described the drink with the Mezcal, saying that the flavor would not come through too strongly. But it did . Otherwise great place! I would absolutely return and just not order that drink. As the evening progressed the restaurant became very busy so I strongly recommend reservations!

The service (Julian) was fantastic. There were a couple of long delays with our apps and entrees but he didn't ignore it, apologized, and even brought us some extra wine to sample! It wasn't the biggest deal that we had to wait but really appreciated the attention and effort. The vibes are good. They fit in enough tables without cramming people too close, the music isn't too loud (good playlist), and the space is broken up well into distinct sections. We enjoyed our food and wine (plus a martini). Cavatelli alla vodka, chitarra with braised lamb, garlic knots, brussels, and panisse. The panisse was a stand out appetizer, cavatelli was way more exciting than plain vodka sauce you get at many other italian restaurants, and the chitarra had incredible flavor. The kitchen clearly pays attention to detail!
