I couldn't help noticing how tender the beef was and how fragrant it smelled. The bun was packed with meat!
Takoyaki: Better than the ones at my local Japanese ramen shop. The inside is soft and gooey with a generous piece of octopus in each ball.

Cozy little spot in Chinatown! I was quickly greeted after coming in from the rain and sat at the small 5-6 seat bar. For dinner, I ordered the spicy wontons and soup dumplings. I loved the texture and chili flavor of the spicy wontons, not to mention that they were served fresh and hot- perfect for a chilly rainy day! I found the soup dumplings less extraordinary, but decent. Service was friendly and speedy. Restaurant was clean, well maintained, well-lit, intimate, and homey.

Definitely not authentic ramen. You can definitely do better.Price: 3.5/5 - on par for the areaSignature ramen: 2/5 - hair in my bowl, egg overcooked, broth nothing special, mushrooms in ramen were big chewy pieces, would have been better if smallerService: 4/5 fineInterior: 4/5 fine

I would describe my meal here as "good," no more and no less.I was dining solo and popped in at around 3:30 on a Saturday afternoon. There were tables available, but still there were a number of diners present, a good sign for that time of day. I was seated right away and my order taken promptly. Soon I had a plate of steaming noodles in front of me. I ate quickly and hungrily, mindful that lomein is at its most tasty in those first few minutes out of the wok. The flavor was satisfying but not out of the ordinary. My dissatisfaction came from the scarcity of chicken and vegetables among the noodles. I know costs have gone up in these inflationary times, but honestly, would it be impossible to be a bit more generous with them? Perhaps throw a few scallion in for good measure? My bill came shortly after the last noodle was slurped. I paid, and left.

I've been to this spot a few times now and it's always a solid pick! I came here most recently for a late weeknight dinner with a friend. It's a cozy spot. We were sat immediately and served pretty quickly as well too. We decided to get the xiao long bao (pork soup dumplings), dan dan noodles, and kung fu noodles. The dumplings were tender and delicious, and the kung fu noodles were so flavorful and probably my favorite!! Overall, quick and delicious spot in Chinatown and can't wait to come back!

Omg the scallion pancakes were so good I still think about it to this day! I didn't enjoy my shrimp tempura lamen very much but the spicy beef lamen was good. The restaurant is small, the waitress was a little rude but other than that I still enjoyed the food!

I am in utterly in love with Reren. I have gone many times and each time is just as good as I remembered the last to be. The portions are huge and I think to be well priced at ~$17/bowl. Each table has its own little type of chair and the decorations are cute. It's homey and very pretty and in a great location in Georgetown.

Came in on a weekday lunch and there was enough seating for our group of six. The noodles taste good and fresh while the broth is flavorful. They have some homemade kimchi and also sour pickled veggies. It is listed as hot, but did not taste that spicy. The half egg was also a nice touch. The meat is a good portion of beef with tendons and its thinly sliced. The food was good for a quick lunch or meal. Not as deep or flavorful as I hoped. But, worth a stop if you are in the area and craving Chinese noodle soup. They have some a variety of side items and other noodle dishes. Meal was about $20 after tax and tips. A little pricey but that's probably the same as the other restaurants.

Unexpectedly good given the relatively mediocre average rating. We were looking for something simple and familiar during our trip to DC, and this place seemed to fit the bill. There was a big Bruins-Capitals game starting soon down the street so we were concerned about getting a table, but fortunately we were seated soon after arrival. Lots of interesting things to choose from, and we agonized over our decision.Takoyaki - nice chunks of octopus inside a hot center and crispy outside. Nicely done.Kung-fu noodles - just the right amount of heat in a delicious broth with noodles cooked perfectly - just ever so slightly firm to give it that nice texture that all ramen-type dishes should have.Seafood fried rice - plenty of properly cooked shrimp, bits of crab, and scallop. Great flavor without relying on soy sauce, though maybe just a little bit on the salty side. Still well liked.Taiwanese braised pork over rice - probably the favorite of the night, with tender pieces of pork, mushroom, pickled vegetables, bok choy, and half a tea egg. Really excellent, but I would have preferred a jammier yolk.Service was friendly and food came out quickly. Prices were good for DC - the total bill including tip (no drinks tonight) was $80 for our group of three.

What we had was not awful but wasn't great either. The 2 star rating for me signifies that I most likely won't be going to try this place again. The pork belly on the lamen wasn't soft. Flavor wise, the broth seems watered down. The xiao long bao wasn't soupy inside. The bao sandwich was really subpar.
