Well! That was a pleasant surprise. I found myself in a pinch and wanted to eat before going to meet up with some folks. I decided to do a very rare thing and order delivery from somewhere... Reggae Vibes came up, and I was confused how I had never heard of them. Like how??? Anyways, I decided to order the curried goat and jerk mac and cheese. It came within the expected time frame (has nothing to do with the restaurant itself), but I was pleased to see that the bag was sealed, and the food was still warm when it arrived. Good protocol, Reggae Vibes! I got so excited when I opened the tray that I didn't get a picture (SORRY). It came with steamed cabbage & rice & peas (the two options I picked)... and... it was nothing short of delicious. Great curry flavor, rice & peas & cabbage were tasty, and... this is probably one of the best mac and cheeses I have had from a Caribbean restaurant. I got the kick from the jerk and it was just SO GOOD. My mission now is to go to the actual restaurant and see the magic happen in action. This might have worked its way into my top local Jamaican spots...!

Idk how long this place has been here or why I'm just now trying it but they have the best Jamaican macaroni and cheese I've tasted in Maryland. The consistency is great, it's not dry, and it's super cheesy. We also tried the oxtail which was rich and hearty. Lots of flavor. The jerk chicken was also good, I love that you can taste that it came from a grill. Just delicious. I'll definitely be adding them to my list of regular places to eat. I forgot to take pictures because I devoured the food. Lolol They also give large portions so you can share a plate if you want. My daughter also liked the beef patties and coco bread.

I got the Oxtail Platter and Coco Bread (not pictured). The way I devoured this whole plate is shameful! It was so flavorful, I received a lot of oxtails which was amazing. I couldn't even wait until I got home. I started eating while I waited for the bus lol. I'll def be back again!

The best and most authentic Jamaican food in the Silver Spring/Northern DC area. Their Brown Stew Chicken and Jerk Chicken sandwich is really good and on my frequent eating out rotation.

This place is on the corner of Georgia and Eastern Avenues and is hard to miss with its colorful island colors, Jamaican flag and pictures of food on the wall outside of the restaurant. I ordered the Jammin' Jerk platter (chicken, fried plantain, rice 'n' peas) and a side of steamed cabbage via Door Dash. My pickup time kept being extended on the app, so I decided to just show up to the restaurant to collect my order after thirty minutes. My order was ready and one of the employees explained that there was something wrong with their system. I wondered why they didn't call to update me, but the female employee who greeted me was pleasant, so I didn't make a fuss. The chicken tasted like baked chicken; no jerk flavor. I didn't appreciate the taste of cloves in the rice and peas. The plantains were sweet and delicious. The cabbage had a nice smell, but something on them -- not sure if it was butter or oil -- didn't sit well with me and I wasn't able to finish it. The portion size was large enough for two meals.2.5

I have my favorite jerk places in the city but was searching for a different flavor. The food here was ok. The jerk chicken by itself is very flavorful, but in my opinion they put too much jerk sauce on it; the flavor of the sauce doesn't add to the chicken but rather take away from it. If I could order the jerk without sauce, I'd come back for that repeatedly, hands down. The sauce reminded me of uncooked walkerswood. The curry had good flavor. Plantains a lil dry. The rice and peas had too much sauce within it as well, couldn't really tell how the rice and peas was alone. The cabbage also has something on it that makes the flavor.Chicken Patty was flat and dry. Coco bread was bomb.

I did not enjoy my oxtails. But the service was good. I would try a different dish if I was back in town again.

This place is awesome, and the chefs are on point. Kind, generous, and hard working. DO NOT read any review below 4 stars. They are petty and unnecessary, simply doing this establishment a massive disservice. Borderline evil to post something like that at all.

Great, flavorful curry chicken. The beef patty was also nice quality and wasn't dried out like you may find at some of their competitors. I'm looking forward to trying their curry goat and oxtails in the future.

Reggae Vibes catered for my celebration recently, and my guests absolutely loved it. I've shared a clip of one guest saying in his remarks, "I don't know who the chef is, but I want to hire him!," and you can hear guests in the background agreeing and clapping to that. As a host you want your guests to be pleased, and it felt really good to hear such positive comments about the food during and after the event. Reggae Vibes' salmon stole the show. My guests were raving especially about that, but they enjoyed all the food - jerk chicken, etc. Thank you so much again, Reggae Vibes!
