This is going to sound the same as everyone else... I have probably eaten 50 Gyros from Arun. I went in and the 2 "younger guys" were working. As soon as I picked up the bag I knew it wasn't right. It had two pieces of lamb meat on it. I asked them if they could make it like it is normally made and he made some nasty comment so I asked for my money back. Such a disappointment because Arun it's so great. If it wasn't for him, this would be a one star, but I do not like being treated like that and I am no snowflake. Where is my Gyro! Oh wait they had to throw it away instead of adding some meat to eat and not making nasty comments.

On my trip to Dc I enjoyed sit in at Ravi Chatkhara. When we dined in, we sat on the side of Ravi Chatkhara and not on Ravi Kabob House side, apparently they are connected together and we can order from both place. One is a kabob place and the other is a karahi.Ravi Chatkhara is no longer a shawarma place as I saw the old pics at yelp, its changed now.Foodwise: From Ravi Chatkhara - We ordered the Chicken Karachi and it was good to the bone! I haven't had this good karachi in the longest time. We also had their rice pudding, which was very nice; and their chai just hit the spot. From Ravi Kabob House - We tried their chicken and beef kabobs with tandoori naan. Let me tell you the Kabobs were awesome! the marination was just amazing and the naan were so good as they have the old school tandoor in the place and making them on the scene. The meal also came with choole (chickpeas) apparently that is an "in" thing with a kabob meal in DC as we don't get that in Canada; we got choole at other places with kabobs as well. Our server at Ravi Chatkhara was very nice, friendly and prompt. The food took some time but everything was hot and freshly served. Overall, I loved the entire food experience! For my Muslim folks - the place serves halal meat.

This is a review per my bf who is from Pakistan. He really enjoyed the lamb biryani and the Qeema prata. The biryani was tasty and slightly spicy w a good kick but not burning kind. They are open on Monday even though it says close on Monday. It seem to be link w Ravi Kabob as it has a an door to it. I enjoyed the desserts which they have quite a variety of Pakistan dessert and milk tea. Service was ok but Rem to bring cash.

When my friend and I were standing by the table to sit down, she told me she saw something fall from near the ceiling. I looked around and didn't see anything and sat down. About a minute later I felt something in my sandal wiggle and I threw off my shoe only to find a 1 inch bug trying to crawl away. I stepped on it and found another squished thing that looked like a cockroach. I am literally sitting here right now, waiting on my food to come as I write this. I don't even know what to do. I have never cringed so much in my life, this is absolutely disgusting and filthy.

Finally a place that doesn't serve overspiced, super dry schawarmas! I really wish they served this as an entree, but their chicken schawarma sandwich does not disappoint! It was nice sized, had a good amount of vegges/toppings, my favorite being jalapenos. Yes, you can get this sandwich spicy! Which I definitely did. The chicken meat was spiced very well, was juicy and crispy on the outside from being turned on the spit-fire grill, and the whole sandwich was delicious. I really wish it came with some sort of a side, not fries like every other Greek place, but maybe a side of chickpeas, something like that. But the sandwich is great and I'll be coming back for my chicken schawarma sandwiches here, I hope they turn it into an entree later on!

From the owners of Ravi Kabob comes a chaat house that specializes in shawarma. :)The service was great, the chaat was decent, and its the only place in the area I have been to that has Kashmiri chai. Will definitely return.

I'm not even sure how people are dining here without realizing they are being over-charged/ scammed! Like absolutely ridiculous!! If I don't know how much the menu items are, I'd be scammed every single time. I get 2 "side orders" and the guy rings me out for 40 bucks!!! I get a chicken karhai which was the ONLY thing that was worth getting over the years; was charged 45 bucks for a portion that seemed like leftovers. Looks like forty something is their goal for every one who either dines-in/ carry out. Please be vigilant and don't get scammed!!Also, please be aware that -- should you use your card , you are not charged twice. I was paying half in cash, and remaining in card, the guy ringing me out, charged me the same amount both in cash and card - again "double"!!! Either the people there do not know basic math, or their system is outdated, or he just thinks people are stupid! Definitely the latter.

The food is fantastic and the service too! I ordered the spicy lamb Karachi, gyro wrap, side of rice, side of chickpeas. The two pieces of naan and salad came with the meal. Be sure to call ahead with your order and bring cash. They are still open for business! Great experience.
