This spot is a hidden gem! Honestly wouldn't have known about it unless my brother told me to go.This spot had some really great udon! The noodles were big firm and bouncy while the broth was so warm and cozy. I loved how they had the tempura on the side instead on in it so it didn't get soggy. I really enjoyed eating the bao buns as well and the aged tofu. The service was really fast and kind and honestly the restaurant was so clean and well kept.

With the food we ordered, they also brought around free salad, along with the sides of sauce/veggies. The spicy pickled radish was yummy, and the sliced cucumbers were savory with the sesame oil. The miso soup was tasty, along with the soft and flavorful tofu. The chicken katsu was cooked well and crispy as it should be. We liked the cabbage salad that came with it, being a bit sweet and savory/spicy. The one thing that might have made the dish better was if there was some sauce or curry with the plain sticky rice. The yakisoba has great flavors and refreshing with all the well cooked veggies. The portions were enough for the price as well. The servers were quick to come and they were attentive when we asked for extra hot sauce. It's a small restaurant with fairly open seating. We chose the booth side. It's clean and quiet, no loud music. It deserves a visit for those that like Japanese and Korean food and conveniently located at Pan Am shopping center near the Vienna metro.

Really wanted to like this place but sadly it serves for late night crowd and you pay for what you get here. Quality is not the best and if your good with that than I guess it's alright. I was starving and only the first few bites tasted passable but the rest was not very well constructed for a Spicy Chicken Bulgogi. The chicken karage is nothing like the Japanese version. This one is mostly breaded with a sweet sauce they drizzle on top which made it even sweeter and that is not supposed to be how it taste. Stay from that one!

The food here is better than a lot of places that sell the same food. I have been here few times, never was disappointed. Service is also very good. I would recommend this place if you want some Korean/Japanese food.

All of the ramens on the menu looked like instagram material. I tried Yaki Shoyu because it had skewers and Chadol. You can taste grill flavor in Yaki Shoyu, and skewers are very tender. Chadol was decent but had a lot of meats. In terms of portion, it is really generous. Price is little cheaper than Jinya, but portion is much larger. However, it is like Korean Japanese fusion, so if you are expecting typical Japanese ramen, this place is not for you. I would love to try other ones in the menu as well.Service was quick and nice. There was only one sever when I was there, but you would be surprised how quickly everything is served. I personally loved the way it looked inside. It looks modern and clean and has very young vibe.

Food/Drink, 4.5/5: The food was great! From the buns to the ramen! Everything was good, just enough seasoning and spice. I recommend the buns, the meat was seasoned really well!Pricing, 5/5: Not badly priced for the area that it's in! Service, 5/5: We were one of the first people in the restaurant for the day. Our server was really nice and the food came out quickly!Aesthetic/Atmosphere, 4/5: It's a simple look, but the restaurant looks very clean and simple. Overall Experience, 5/5: I'd come back here for a warm meal! Their food has a nice kick to you!

First time here! Big open space and had no issues with seating. I got the spicy chicken ramen and it was fantastic! The bao bun was okay but not bad. Overall we enjoyed our lunch here... not sure if I'll come back again but def worth a try if you haven't been.

Yummy! Perfectly spicy. I happened upon this place and it had the magic word in the name. Ramen!! Newly opened. There were only 2 others in the restaurant. I ordered the spicy volcano miso ramen. It had yummy tender bites of chicken and the ramen noodles were nice and al dente. Plenty of chicken to fill you up. You probably won't need an appetizer unless you can put away some food. The soup came out very close to what the picture looked like on the menu. I'm not even finished eating and will def return to try the other soups. The decor is very simple and Asian chic. The server was nice and prompt and kept the table clean! A nice water pitcher comes to the table. The restroom was super clean. Bonus! Highly recommend if you want some spice ramen noodle soup!

My mom had tried the mushroom buns for lunch with a coworker.. so naturally she raved about it.Naturally walking in felt weird partially because I haven't been in this actual location since it was previously Chinese restaurant that I grew up with. The overall look of the restaurant is nice and modern. There is a hostess desk? Not sure cause it looks so plain.Restaurant was empty. Sat down and the menu looked presentable always appreciate a visual menu. Although that causes high expectations to replicate the photo. Now off to the ordering... Okay maybe I was a bit confusing when ordering but I also asked the server to repeat my order so I made sure I ordered. (1) Bulgogi Bun (1) Grilled Pork Bun. (1) Shrimp Bun and Chicken Kaarage. And a Takoyaki . Because at first I had said chicken bun and forgot no I didn't want a chicken bun cause we were getting Kaarage. But somehow ended up with the chicken bun instead of the intended shrimp bun. It's fine...just as these buns priced at $8.00-8.50. Hmm.. inflation is real. They were "okay". Thin buns with some kewpie mayo,2 thin slivers of cucumber, thinly sliced lettuce and the meat. If your charging me that price I may want more flavor/excitement. Takoyaki.. served hot crunchy exterior and soft center and chewy octopus at least there were 3 small pieces in each that was appreciated.Chicken Kaarage.. less salty then most I've had light and crispy juicy not dry. Honey mustard like sauce and lemon helped with bring flavors together. The Ramen... Volcano Spicy Ramen.. $16.50.I am no penny pincher with food but I do get peeved when food is not worth its value. Again perhaps I ordered the fluke item on the menu..I really tried to find the best in the soup and I couldn't perhaps it was my overcooked egg. Which is my fave part of ramen.. is the Soy marinated egg. The jelly texture tells me if the soup is worth it. Nope just a over medium boil now my Dad's his was decent perhaps it's because he ordered the basic miso ramen.Perhaps I should just gone basic $13.50..The broth...this is not my first rodeo with spicy miso. It's like my go to everywhere I go. Here's what I got vinegar/sour/spicy but dry spice. I have never been so confused by a ramen. It's the spice of a hot and sour soup but the flavor of flat. Although I tried it again warm/cold to make sure I wasn't crazy and there was so flavor I was missing. Noodles didn't add much and broth didn't really soak in my noodles either. It came with chicken pieces which tasted mostly of vinegar. Perhaps it was like adobo style sweet/vinegary..Not spicy. Overall this place has me confused did I just pay for an overpriced represent of a ramen dish? Is the restaurant still new that maybe the chef that day was off their game? I don't really know if the is place gives enough to want to return to try other things. With all the places to get Ramen in NOVA... I don't know if this place stands out enough for me.
