so i left a very disappointed detailed review came back and it's magically gone so AGAIN...ZERO STARS...WHY...there was a sharp plastic piece of god knows what in my beans AND I HAVE A TODDLER SO IF HE WOULD HAVE BIT/EATING THAT IMAGINE IF IT WOULDVE CUT HIS MOUTH OR HE CHOKED, im thankful im the one who bit it!!!!i wanted to try a new african spot and the one i typically go to (LAPAZ IN MANASSAS highly recommend) was too far and dnt deliver where i am...so i chose this placethe 1st issue was the sharp plastic piece that the restaurant i guess denied according to uber eats...you literally see the palm oil and food why would i make this up I SHOULD BE REFUNDED BECAUSE NOT ONLY IS THAT UNSAFE ITS UNSANITARY AND DISGUSTING LIKE WHAT IS THAT? WHERE DID IT EVEN COME FROM...then what added fuel to the fire was the soup was entirely too salty ive had pepper soup PLENTY OF TIMES so i knw how things should taste and this was just salty..the plantains werent good and the fish (croaker)stunk - i ordered things ive had multiple times so again i know how everything should look,smell,taste...the hard/sharp plastic piece and the lack of accountability is really what did it for me. spent $50 for what? wouldnt recommend and definitely wnt ever try again.

I went first a few years ago and liked their Jollof rice, but nothing else. This time I ordered chicken with the rice, that was fried and placed in with the rice dish. It was old, over cooked, and not crispy. I could not eat it. I would have preferred stew chicken with the rice. Their beans had too much grease, more like old fashioned lard. I knew this and was prepared to strain them. Plantains we're ok. The place was clean, nicely decorated, and service was adequate for a restaurant. I therefore thought the food would have been fresh and cooked to order, especially fried chicken.

Ordered on Uber eats for jollof rice and peanut butter soup.They sent wayke instead of jollof but I had never had it before and loved it way more than I ever expected to. The wayke with goat meat might just be my new always order and the shito was spicy but absolutely delicious!The fufu was an interesting texture but on par for fufu the peanut butter soup was good but not my favorite I have had Can't wait to order again!

I've ordered dinner from Rahama a few times over the past couple of months. I was satisfied every time, I don't have any complaints. The food was tasty, hot and well portioned. I tried the spicy kebab this evening and loved it. My favorite so far is the cassava leaves with fufu, goat & chicken. Peanut soup is very good as well. Well spiced food, try and you won't regret it.

2.5*. Pros: - The bean stew IS REALLY GOOD! The best thing I've tried at Rahama. It is vegan so i believe you can pay extra to add meat. -The peanut soup & fufu is alright, not jammed packed with flavor but still gets the job done. -jallof rice is good too. -Attieke is good too, but i was a bit disappointed in the chicken provided in it as it was a bit burnt and seemingly dated chicken. But the croaker fish was alright. They also gave me a almost salsa like pepper sauce that wasn't spicy. Not sure if they hadn't had time to cook the sauce yet & thought that'll do or if that's how theirs really comes but the sauce was still good. - The beef kabob was a little lacking in flavor and a bit dry. This place is great for convenience if you're in the area or the only African food place you have nearby but I believe If they invested more in more quality local ingredients that bring the flavors of west African food together, and also higher quality meats it will improve drastically & taste alot more authentic as now it tastes a bit less authentic. Customer service is ok but nothing extravagant.I've visited two of their locations; And I can say the same for both. I would stick to ordering the things I've listed above for your best experience here.

I ordered two piece fried chicken with fried rice. I have eaten African food multiple times. This is the worst. They gave me two legs fried so hard I couldn't eat it. The fried rice wasn't good either. They changed me almost $15.00 plus I left a $3.00 tip. Absolutely horrible!

It was our first time having Ghanaian food, very interesting taste. Everything was made spicy!! so if you're sensitive to spicy food, this would not be the place. We decided to dine in, you order your food at the counter and take a seat. We ordered a few items to share and also their dessert in a cup which i didn't get a name.#5 - Fufuo & Chicken Soup#9 - Awaakye & Fish and Meat#12 - Atseke#17 - Fried chicken with fried rice#22 - Spicy Khebob#5 - I would have imagined that this dish would come with something else, like rice? but nope, you eat it with your hands. The center blob is like mashed potatoes but thicker, and chicken is chicken. Kinda tastes like curry had made love to tom yum soup. They also give you a side of water in a big bowl so you can wash your fingers. #9 - This was the most random dish that we ordered, lol spaghetti noodles on the side with some weird orange thing, the beef that was in there was very tender and shredded like pot roast meat. There was also a small piece of fried fish in the mix but because of the sauce that they covered it with, it was soggy. There was also an egg and #12 - Fried fish but it came out kinda soggy but it was delrishes. This was also served with cassavas. #17 - Fried rice with fried chicken, the fried rice tasted like any bland Chinese fried rice, it was very bland and no flavoring.#22 - The kabobs were really tender and flavorful. It's a must try.The dessert in a cup was very sour, it has milk and sour cream as one of its ingredients, I forget what the rest were but this was no where near being sweet. This place seems to be more of a carry out joint than dine in, overall it was ok, it's an experience.

So I stopped by because I saw the Ghanaian flag in the window and have eaten Ghanaian food before, it peaked my interest to try their restaurant. The first visit I ordered egusi with pounded yam, it was underwhelming because the meat that came in my plate was simply not meat at all, just bone and cartilage; the stew was nice so I removed the bulky pieces and ate the rest. Came back today to order jollof with beef - the rice tasted like the bottom of a freezer, it was so disappointing. I am now sure this restaurant just does not serve good ingredients because two different meals on two different days only the disappointment is consistent.My law firm is about 4 min from this place but I will just drive across town to Aburi. Waste of money and now still hungry

I got a very bad day at Rahama I ordered for food and spent $73 firstly I was given fried fish instead of Grilled tilapia.I ordered for 4 Malta they were not paying attention when parking the order so they gave me some stupid meat pie.I called them to corrrect their mistake and instead of doing that they were telling me to spend some more money and they will add it to my order. the manager was so rude to me tell me that I should go ahead and report their store.Rahama collected my money and when I complained they use bad and abusive words on me

Was very excited about the fried yam meal. Took a bite and the yam was so dry. Inspected it further and it's raw inside. Who doesn't boil yam before frying it?! What kind of hard stomach can digest a raw fried yam??? This will make you sick. The extra star was for the rest of the food, which was really good.
