Boba was undercooked. It was hard but had a good flavor. The drinks are overly sweet, so be sure to go with less sugar. I got a matcha milk tea and had no idea what I was drinking. Some sort of green milk... I'm pretty sure it's powdered mixes. Quality is a shame. The fruits additions, too, were overly sweet and tasted canned or jarred. Definitely not fresh. What saved this place was the pricing. It's a good amount for pricing. Service was good, our drinks came out fast. You order through a machine. The place was clean overall and shares the space with a Poke shop.

Fast service through the kiosk. I got the Hawaiian Sunset but personally I wasn't the biggest fan of it. It was a lot more bitter than I expected and the mango was barely there. Cute place for a nice chat and cooldown though!

Fast service with a computer ordering system, quickly filled by friendly staff! Pow tea had a big selection tea to choose from. I went with a Brazilian lemonade which was yummy. Located in gallery place, this is a great spot to stop for a refresher before carrying on with exploring the city!

The Cherry Bomb tasted artificial and was too sugary. The boba was nice and chewy though. I could feel the heat from the boba when I held the cup.I liked the ice dragon more because it actually tasted like dragon fruit. However, I couldn't taste much of the crème top.As for the restaurant itself, the service was average. Place is clean. You have to ask the staff for the pin to access the restroom.

A gem hidden inside a poke sushi place. Great flavors and a good amount of toppings. Cute lids and a good location near the DC convention center.

Unfortunately, the boba tea game isn't really prominent in Penn Quarter. It took me a while to find Pow Tea because it is conspicuously located inside of Papa Poke and is an extension of the restaurant. After eyeing the menu and tasting one of their teas, I think this little tea shop is kind of a gem in the neighborhood. The menu is diverse and offers multiple options ranging from fruity to creamy teas to smoothies and yogurt drinks. The flavors combinations are interesting and unique, such as the Honeydew Cream Tea and Hawaii tea with mango and hibiscus. I ordered the Guavacito (green tea, guava, strawberry fruit) at 100% sweetness, half expecting it to be sugary and syrupy. Surprisingly, the guava flavor is prominent, yet smooth, and the fresh strawberry bits and guava slices highlighted it even more. I was also pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overly sweet. The boba was perfectly cooked, slightly sweet and chewy. Although I do wish I could've had more strawberry and guava fruit, the overall taste was as promised. The ordering system via the kiosk was also very easy and convenient. This is something I wish every tea shop would utilize.

Half the employees that works there don't understand English. I was passed to another lady to ask if their yogurt drinks are the thick kind or watery and she said "thick". I asked again to make sure the lady understood my question and I got the same response back "thick". Sure enough, when I got my mango yogurt drink, it was watery and nasty. I spoke to a manager and explained that I was told it was a thick yogurt drink which is why I purchased. The manager did not apologize for the workers giving me wrong info nor did he even offered to make me a different drink. All he said was that the drink is make with just mango and yogurt powder and water. Anyways, it was the worst drink I've ever had. I couldn't even finish half the drink and had to toss it cuz it was just a nasty powdery water drink. Seriously, if I want a powder drink, I could just make it myself.

We got the black milk tea 50% sweet and the strawberry milk tea 100% sweet. The strawberry milk tea tasted very artificial and the 100% was very sweet. The black milk tea wasn't so cloying but it seemed watery. The boba consistency was like the ones in a canned boba drink, kind of mushy rather than a satisfying chewy. The staff are very nice and the ordering kiosk is convenient, but would definitely just come here for poke and not the bubble tea.

It's a little unfortunate this place is combined with the poke place but has its own separate page here, since there are actually a lot of positive reviews on the Poke Papa page. The tea is great! I like that it allows you to adjust sweetness and ice, since I don't really like sweet drinks.Remember, you indeed need to order at one of the kiosks on the right side for the drinks, though you can also just use them to place an order for food as well. The service was quick and they were very nice! It's a fairly small place with music playing at a pretty good volume so it's pretty nice inside. There's fake plants and such, making for a cute sort of aesthetic.

Got a cherry blossom special and added boba to it. It was disappointing. The floral taste was overwhelming and artificial. It was also very sweet, so make sure to reduce the sugar if you go. I ordered online to go from a mobile browser and it was a pain. It would ask for information and then the window would close and I would have to hit "checkout" again only to have it ask for one more piece of information then close again...repeat. I never got an order acknowledgement text either, so I was worried the restaurant never even got my order. They did though, and it was ready in less than ten minutes. So overall, it was just ok. They do have a lot of options on the menu so I might give it another shot. After this first time though, I prefer Sharetea, which is right down the street, though the employees at Pow were a lot nicer and friendlier.
