What a gem!Visiting for the day and didn't have a reservation, but we were able to get into the bar right away w a spot by a window. Glass was up but shortly after we arrived, they made it open-air by lowering the glass windows. We parked right in front of the hotel by luck, but they have two parking garages directly by the entrance. Prices were very fair, Attended at the bar very quickly, and they even topped my drink off w cranberry after drinking 1/3rd of it because it was too strong!Views are amazing--would highly recommend.

Came here in the middle of the day with some friends. I'm from out of town so I heard that this place can be corporate and stuffy, but on a Sunday in the afternoon it was very relaxed. People and staff were super friendly and there was no dress code to get in, which we were worried about. Drinks here are definitely expensive but if you get one of their specialty cocktails, the presentation is definitely worth it. I had the bi-partisan, which had two drinks on a scale - one red and one blue. They were both pretty delicious. I also got the "All the President's Secrets" which came out and had a bit of a presentation before being served. Very cool. Overall, a great place to take out of town guests for a drink or two as the views here cannot be beat!

Come to this spot for the awesome views of DC, which includes The White House. This bar/club is covered in windows on all sides that open up for a breezy (almost) rooftop-like experience. It's a place that you need to go at least once to breathe in the city's beauty. On the night we went (about a year ago), it was insanely crowded, to the point where we could barely stand anywhere. To sit down, you have to pay a massive drink minimum that even for five of us, was way out of the question. There were open tables, which was crazy that we couldn't just sit down even though we'd bought drinks. The drinks that we did buy were so strong that we had a hard time finishing them. The dance floor area with the neon lights on the ceiling was festive and they were playing fun music. I'd try going back maybe on a different night so we'd get room to move around.

Prices - 2Views - 5Service - 3Pro-tip: Arrive early and get the booth in the corner closest to the Washington Monument and with views of the White House. Or just hop up to the elevated bar table overlooking the White House. The views are what you come for. Fantastic views of the White House and the Washington Monument. The place is typically packed, understandabl, so plan accordingl. Also, as a W, it is costly, but worth the experience. Come early to enjoy the sunset and watch the lights come on across the city.

The views of D.C. are stunning from this rooftop. It's one of those places you definitely want to bring your friends from other states to see. The cocktails were expertly made and tasted great. I had one with Obama's face on it (I believe some sort of variation of a Moscow Mule) and took a nice picture of it with the Washington Monument in the background. I had a lobster grilled cheese which was pretty good, not life-changing, but you can't go wrong with lobster grilled cheese! Service was charming which was a plus. The price point may keep me from visiting too often, but definitely would come here for a celebration once in a blue moon!

I HATE businesses who websites say one thing and you get there and it's a totally different story. We are visiting from Philly and a friend of mine recommended POV. I checked the website a week before we arrived to DC and the day of. The website says "walk in only" but we get there at 9 PM and are told they're only doing reservations tonight. So frustrating. So happy we didn't pay for parking.

They are doing a good job coming out of COVID restrictions. The view, of course, is still marvelous. Service is very good. But, the food and drink prices extract a premium for the view. The markups are high. The Hamachi crudo was excellent. Ditto the spring salad. My salmon entree was just okay. I thought the apple cake dessert to be disappointing. In sum, great view. Otherwise, the experience is pricey compared to alternatives in the area.

Yelp says this place is closed but it definitely isn't ? Went here today and can confirm it is open!! POV is at the roof of the Washington Hotel and has AMAZING views of downtown DC. This alone makes it worth coming to IMO. It is spacious and kept at just the right temperature. I've come on a hot & cold day and both times felt perfectly comfortable. In terms of drinks, their espresso martini is perfection. Just a heads up - this place is pricey. The espresso martini was $23. You are paying for the view, ambience, and service. I would recommend if you are looking for an upscale bar with a view!

Fantastic view. The White House is hidden because of the trees but I'm sure it's in plain view during the winter. I attended an event and everything I ate was tasty. The drinks weren't bad either! I'll be adding this to my list for out-of-town folks to visit.

The vibes in the place were very chill. We were seated right away as we reserved a table. The view of the city was amazing, had a direct line of sight of the White House. The food hands down was amazing. I'd come back alone just on that. The only thing I didn't like about the seating was that people who were standing could literally stand right next to your table. The waiter was back and forth, not as available as we would've liked but in fairness there were a lot of people. The ambiance was nice. Parking wasn't bad, we found a spot on the Main Street. The garages close at 11pm, and the Lounge doesn't close until 2am, so it was a bit of an inconvenience. Drinks were a bit strong for my taste, seemed like they were doused in alcohol. The DJ was horrible. He was all over the place. The transitions between songs were bad. Some of the music was meant for when you are trying to take a nap. The songs were hit and miss. Went from something lit to something trash. Exp. Rihanna-Work to Celine Dion -My Heart Will Go On. It was bad. Overall if you're looking for a chill spot with good food then this is a good spot.
