Popeyes

This review is for today only as every time we come here, it's inconsistent with service and food. Today we went around 4:30pm for dinner. An early dinner. We ordered spicy chicken. It took 8-10 minutes cause a lot of to go orders but when we received the food, it was piping hot! The chicken was really hot and juicy. The biscuit however, was not soft, light and fluffy. It was buttery but hard. And lukewarm. The cole slaw was too sweet & too mayo'ey. What it could also use was kick from horseradish like Famous Dave's. The red beans and rice good. So aromatic! Just take a whiff of it before you consume. It smells like a smokey Louisiana sausage shack. Gotta be from the lard or seasoning from the beans. The music in the background was okay. It was pop but should be Louisiana cajun music! Friendly service. Bathroom seemed clean as well as restaurant.

I want to love Popeyes. This is actually a really nice location, and it's very clean. Can't say that about all of their stores, as some of them are absolutely horrible. Yet have no fear, go here but watch out. This parking lot is a nightmare. Do be forewarned as have been hit here, and have averted multiple wrecks by defensive driving. It's a shame, but parking and access are important aspects. As for the store, it can be busy. That's common in this built up area of the county. I think the chicken sandwich that was raved about is merely okay. When breaking the diet I go with a spicy chicken breast that is delicious. This plus mashed potatoes and their biscuits hit the spot. Prices have gone up, but that's everywhere due to inflation. This is a good store, but be ready with that steering wheel!

I've never gotten my order correct here. Ever. Even when ordering via the app. The staff here is very difficult. They generally act like you are a jerk for having the nerve to walk in and order food. When the food is fresh, it's great, exactly what you expect from Popeyes. Several times I've gotten chicken and fries that are old and or cold. If they could get more consistent with the quality, that would go a long way.

1/11/22I felt the need to have a crispy chicken sandwich or two. Then I thought I would add some American Cheese on the sandwiches to complete process. This restaurant looks to be back in business since I was here last. The year 2020 really shook businesses to the point of closing up shop. If things weren't closed up, public restrooms certainly were. Some places are still closed.The bathrooms which are not unisex (they should be) happen to be in a state of asqueroso...at least in the toilet bowl. Mellow Yellow with Mr. Potatoheads is not appealing to me.I noticed the mirror is now gone from the men's bathroom. I can't speak for the women's bathroom. The service was fast and easy. The cashier would prefer to speak in Spanish, but talked to me in English. I do not mind practicing my limited Spanish...practice makes perfect. Especially since I messed up the words Cups with Kisses in Spanish. Yeah, the woman and her boyfriend got a real laugh out of that, but I learned a real lesson that day long ago. The chicken sandwiches were delightful. Hard to imagine people fighting over this chicken. Not sure when I will be back here, but when I do, I hope to not see this review still here. Today's dinner hit the spot. I will have the other sandwich for breakfast. Something to wake up in the morning for...:)

Went to Popeyes for two chicken sandwich meals and when asking for dipping sauce they are now charging for sauce! What world do we live in where you spend $20 for two meals and then you're charged for dipping sauces? Get real. Sad and pathetic Popeyes. Do better.

Depends on who you get. Today the lady taking orders was incredibly positive and nice. The person expediting and handing out the food was completely miserable. My food came out fast and hot. I'm happy.

I can't forget the beignets I had in New Orleans so I was very curious when Popeyes brought this out. Unfortunately it turned out to be totally different. Each one was bite size. There was barely any powdered sugar. It tasted more like chocolate croissants, def not a beignet. It came out warm and fresh but still, not a beignet.

Spicy Flounder fish sandwich is the worst. Big sandwich with very little fish. Even McD's fish sandwich is better at half the cost. It has been a while since I had their fried chicken and was also disappointed with how small the pieces are. Covid effect? The fries are still one of the best though.

If you're itchin for some chicken, I usually dream of the Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich. Popeyes by far has the best breading and amount of heat in the hot chicken fast food wars. Reasons for the 2 star rating:-No drive through :( They could totally put one in! -Once there was a hair in/on my sandwich. The staff was mortified and immediately corrected it.

This Popeyes on gallows road is no longer halal sadly. Manager told me today the chicken bone in is no longer halal
