Pollo Dorado

First off this is my first time eating at this place and I can assure you that you should go elsewhere.To start off we ordered the sopa de res and ordered a side of yuca for carry out. When we got home we were stunned by how undercooked the meat was. The meat of the soup was red and when we called to get a refund they had the audacity to say that the meat was completely cooked and that the reasoning to why it was red is due to the seasoning. As you can see in the picture the meat is obviously not cooked and this is a safety hazard for them to deny. Someone can get food poisoning and they wouldn't even care. Posting as an awareness because this was a horrible experience to deal with and will never go back to eat there.

My mom told me she wanted some food from this restaurant, because her priest friends frequent it. We drove up around 530pm on a Friday afternoon and it was decently busy. They have a fairly robust menu covering tacos, papusas, mixed plates, soups, and seafood, to name a few.We ended up deciding to get an array of items to try. We ordered: un pastelito de pollo; yuca frita; tacos de pescado; papusas de jalapeño and queso; and papusas de frijoles and queso. We ordered for take out and it took about 30 minutes for the order.The negatives are that: $10 dollar minimum credit card order (never a fan of this anywhere); the pastelito de pollo was a bit dry; the tortillas for the taco were a bit eh.The positives are that: $20 bucks was about 3 meals worth of food; the tacos were great, although the tortillas weren't; the papusas were top notch; service was friendly; lots of parking; and the yuca frita was great. There is a little sauce that comes with the yuca that is real good, but they only gave me a little. I don't know what it is called, but it is whiteish-green.All in all, I felt this was around a 4-4.5, but it is locally owned, and has more positives than negatives so I will give the bump. I would come again and my mom likes it, so you know that is like an extra star too.

If I can give this place a 0 star I would. This place is UNBELIEVABLY DISRESPECTFUL! I have been going here for a while and I would hear the waitress force people to tip them. First off, NOBODY IS OBLIGATED TO TIP YOU. There's a guy who I believe is a regular customer but the way they treat him is just disgusting. Grown a** females in here who don't have manners or respect. Today I literally saw one of them just literally slam a cup of milk to the customer (the one I believe is a regular) DONT GO HERE. Food is gross, service is not worth it. I don't know who these people think they are but have some respect. I respect my Latino community because I know how it is working off tips but DONT FORCE FOR TIPS AND DONT TREAT PEOPLE LIKE SHIT BECAUSE THEY DONT TIP YOU.

Ordered take out tacos, they were incredible! Got the pollo (chicken) and the lengua (beef tongue). The pollo was blackened and more flavorful than most chicken and not completely dry, and the lengua was tender instead of tough. Also recommend getting the mild crema they have for the pollo a la brasa- I know it's not traditional for tacos but it's so good here, they add something extra that gives it a lighter, tartness that few places have. Its also a nice balance for the hot sauce which has a lot of kick but is very flavorful. I'll be coming back for sure! Also the service was incredible and friendly, not sure how people are getting bad service here...Los tacos de lengua y pollo fueron increíble. No fueron seco. La crema por polla a la brasa es muy bien también. Las personas son muy amable.

Food is really good, friendly staff , only food I did not like from this place are pupusas , anything else , delicious! Highly recommended La comida es muy buena , el servicio excelente, lo único que no me gusta de acá son las pupusas , todo lo demás delicioso , se los recomiendo

I've been here a few months ago w my bf who is able to speak Spanish. I noticed that most of the staff do not speak English. For someone who doesn't speak Spanish (& showed up w/out the Spanish speaking bf ) i was VERY nervous!! NOT to mention the time I visited (12:45pm) was VERY busy. I appreciate the staff's patience as they helped me in placing my orders . I ordered soaps de res and pork and cheese pupusas - YUMMY

Not impressed with the stuffed green bell pepper. Too greasy and not enough flavor. Chicken rotisserie was good but nothing special. Priced reasonably well. Not a place I would go out of my way to visit bus satisfactory overall.

Well .. Pollo Dorado is one of my favorite restaurants, I come here often because I LOVE the food !! Food is amazing !! .. but today 3/25/18 , I had a server name BLANCA , who's service was really UNPROFESSIONAL. It was so bad , that I actually lost my appetite . She gave me some really ugly attitude when I asked nicely about an item in the menu . Food is GOOD .. but the service is BAD .

My husband and I went to Pollo Dorado about a week ago and I can with confidence that Pollo Dorado has the best pupusas! Specially the cheesy Pupusas de queso. The Tacos de Lengua are just great.The traditional drinks like Horchata and Tamarindo are sooo good and refreshing. They're very large too! Prices are more than fair in comparison to other Latin Restaurants.Very welcoming environment and staff:)Can't wait to come back again. Will be posting pictures next time we go. We couldn't last time since our little one was midst of eating/destroying everything in his way and then falling asleep in our arms lol parenting 101

do not and i mean do not go to this establishment!!! gave me the wrong food and they also refused to provide me a refund or the correct food that i order. this is nothing but a dump. i've been to places that are a hole in the wall with no complaints but this place, i advise anyone to stay away!!! if you're going to run an establishment at least speak some english. i was better off going to mcdonald's , at least i know would've known what i was getting!!! stay away from this piece of crap, you have been warned people
