Pizza Day

Pizza Day is a decent choice for pizza. Here's why:1) The owners are really nice and friendly. It makes you want to support their local business.2) The food isn't bad. They sell all types of food from calzones to salads, but of course, they are known for their pizza. You can pick your toppings and it comes out in 15 minutes warm from the oven. Although it's lacking in excess tomato sauce, the dough is on point! 3) The price you can't beat. It's $8 something for most of their small pizzas and it's filling!4) The location is just off of Pennsylvania Ave SE with easy access to major highways nearby. You can always find parking nearby. If you're craving pizza and live nearby, it's worth a visit (or have them deliver to you!).

One day I was feeling.blue...and wanted nothing more than just a good..hot...pizza! Low and behold it was just ! It was so good..and the driver was so..nice..I could cry. Thank you Pizza Day

Ordered pizza from here through Uber eats and was not impressed. If you look at the photo my pizza was missing cheese and lacked sauce. Also no extras were include like Parmesan cheese or red pepper flakes etc. This will be my first and last order... Ps school Lunch pizza taste better than this crap

Had to redeem myself from my pizza disaster last night. Found a local spot I'd never heard of before. Seems family owned. Called to order the one-topping XL pizza & 10 wings deal - $17.99. Pizza was delivered in record time. Crust had a nice chew, good amount of sauce, cheese bend was good too. Not many vegetable toppings offered (black olives, mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes). I ordered a spinach pizza & the spinach definitely tasted frozen :(, but was impressed with the overall quality from a local place with a good deal, thus tres stars.

Firs off I just want to say that they staff at pizza day are very kind professional and very prompt to please there customers. They food is also very good as well. I personally like there lamb gyros.

Just want to say this place is a true gem. The owners are such great people. It feels like you're eating at your own family's restaurant. The food is excellent. The service is by far the best in the entire South East Washington D.C. area. The back side of the menu is the true treat! With Kababs and Gyros, this place is amazing. Don't waste your time with the local carry-outs in the area, spend your dollar here at Pizza Day! I'm definitely going back again.

Wings were absolutely horrible. Damn near look like Turkey wings...gave one ranch dressing for 12 wings and a salad...will never eat here again.

Recommended by the hotel, we ordered online and 30 minutes later get a text saying our order was cancelled due to "an emergency". I called and spoke to the owner/manager who said they are renovating and he tried calling me (he didn't) and later sent a text (he did - 30 minutes after I ordered). Why are they accepting orders if they are renovating? We had to start all over again with an order from another restaurant. - Frustrated and Hangry

Poor customer service...I placed an order for a chicken alfredo with shrimp, side salad, and baked lasagna at 2:30p. The expected time of delivery said 3:04-3:44p. I called the restaurant at 4:22 to inquire about my order. The person that picked up said, I'm making your food now. I'm like sir, I place my order at 2:30, what do you mean you're making it right now? The guy hangs up in my face. I then called Grubhub to get assistance with my order, told them the situation and they said they will call Pizza Day and look into the matter. I was on hold for about 10 minutes waiting for Grubhub to give me an answer. They finally gets back on the phone, no apology for the wait and says that Pizza Day is on their way and should be to me at 4:50. I said, I can't possibly pay full price for this. Grubhub stated that they will give me 20% off my next order. At 5:10p, I called Pizza Day again and they said they were on the way. I said I've put the order in since 2:30, this order needs to be free. The guy said he put in a free salad and he didn't charge for the shrimp added to the chicken alfredo. The order finally arrived at 5:30 and as i tasted the food, it was not as tasty as I expected. This experience has ruined my appetite and I want a full refund of my order. I will never order from Pizza Day again. What a way to start the new year. Horrible service. Buyers beware!!

Very nice owners and good customer service. Kitchen is clean and food is fresh. This restaurant is a strong competitor in a place that is saturated with pizza shops. This is a cheap and convenient place for many. The owner is also known to donate a lot to the neighboring elementary schools and is a positive influence in his community, this alone is worth supporting this place
