Service: super quick Food: I'm Vietnamese so I'm very picky with the places I will go and get my pho on. This is my go-to spot for pho. I had a start of a cold so had to get something warm. My favorite thing about this place is the sate. It even inspired me to make my own at home now!!!Ambiance: it's a pho restaurant. Mom and pop place so you are getting a casual dining restaurant.

Nothing beats a weekend morning bowl of pho. My wife and I are new to the area and constantly on the hunt for pho places to satisfy our routine craving. As my wife does not eat beef, we always appreciate restaurants that carry a variety of options outside of basic beef and chicken pho. Pho Sate in Falls Church offers a large, appealing menu of more esoteric noodle soups, so we checked out the shop on a recent Saturday. My classic beef pho possessed an aromatic and richly flavored but clean broth. The spice and umami backbone of the broth was ideal, however the portion of the meat itself felt a bit skimpy. Additionally, the normally rare slices of tai arrived to our table fully cooked, which felt like a big miss. My wife enjoyed her hot and sour seafood soup, which had a shellfish broth accented with citrus and chili. The soft and bouncy seafood sausage in that dish had a great flavor and was a highlight of the bowl. Of course, both of our soups benefited from the eponymous spicy and smoky sate, which was among the best renditions of the condiment we have tried in the area. Service and setting are essentially as expected for a neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant, though we did find the staff here friendlier than usual. The total damage for our two bowls was around $30, right on par for the area. Note that this place is cash only. Overall, we enjoyed Pho Sate and anticipate it becoming a regular member of our pho rotation for its broader menu of more unique noodle soups.

If I could give this little hidden treasure ten stars, I would without hesitation. I've had pho in at least a dozen different restaurants throughout the DMV area. I'm here to tell you that Pho Sate has the best, most delicious pho I have ever tasted! This place is so good that my family, who lives in Montgomery County MD, commutes to Falls Church just to get our fill of piping hot pho. I have always gotten the fried tofu pho with extra tofu. My husband loves the Tai Chien, and my in-laws love the Chin - that's just the brisket. Additionally if you're extra hungry, they have the absolute best chicken egg rolls I have ever had. They're served with a generous dish of duck sauce. Two things to keep in mind: weekends are jam packed. We actually waited almost 40 minutes for a table once, but we've already been going there for years and know it's completely worth the wait. Oh, and an added bonus: the service is phenomenal! You can visibly see every single employee working very hard - from the waitstaff to the chefs - and we always tip them extra. Because the prices are that reasonable, we love to throw them a pretty generous tip on occasion. They all bust their butts; they totally deserve it! I dare you to try and find a better place for quality Vietnamese pho.

Came to Pho Sate with a larger party (12 people) and we were seated right away. They have a large selection of pho and bun options, plus lots of other dishes depending on what you're interested in. I got the #504 and A-2 which both hit the spot on a cold January evening. Service was very accommodating, the food came out quickly (within 15 minutes) and the flavor was great! They also have a good beverage menu if you happen to be in the mood for a taro, durian, or avocado smoothie.

Always a pleasure. I tend to be reliable and get the large 101, a little bit of everything. Also don't pass on the chicken egg rolls. Yum!

It was a cold and rainy evening, and I was in the mood for a hot bowl of pho. I was near Pho Sate, and decided to give it a try. Our party of nine was seated a few minutes after putting our names down on the list. The first thing I noticed about the menu was their prices are much lower than most pho places with regular to large bowls ranging from $12-$13. I tried the pho and their egg rolls, but were tasty. The pho broth is pretty light, and definitely is improved by adding their sate sauce. The sate isn't quite spicy, and is rather flavorful. The space looks dated, but the service was quick and efficient. I would definitely return if I'm in the mood for a solid bowl of pho.

Consistently good and with friendly fast service. Can't ask for more. Got reccomended their laksa and it was amazing. Hearty. Almost like a chowder. An amazing viet coconut chowder. The pan fried was delicious too as always. Place is big and booths r inviting. I just wished I lived a little closer to this place. Oh the laksa takes time to prepare so be patient.

Pho Sate is always solid and doesn't disappoint. We got one of the usual, the beef pho, and a crispy noodle dish. Beef pho has a great flavorful broth and the chili paste on the side adds a nice touch too. Same with adding some of the bean sprouts for crunch or jalapenos for extra kick. The noodle dish was interesting, was the first time I tried it. They give you a gigantic plate of crispy noodles that you mix into the hot broth on the bottom to make them softer. The broth, noodles, veggies and chicken were delicious. They did not skimp on the veggies. Also the chicken rolls we got as an appetizer were also tasty. The Thai milk boba tea I got isn't pictured but it's super sweet and I love it. Service is pretty quick too, you basically get self seated at an open booth or table and someone comes around to take your order and bring waters. Ambience/decor is nice, they've got a big TV at the front to watch it if seated near the booths on the left. It's a large restaurant which is good as it can get pretty busy at times so it can seat more folks quickly. Also in that strip center there's other cool food and unique grocery store to try so it's a good location.

Pho Sate offers starters & appetizers (pork taro egg rolls, chicken egg rolls, twist cruller, etc.), pho, rice noodle soups, egg noodles/wonton soups, and a nice selection of smoothies/boba. We've ordered:+the Cha Gio Thit Ga - 4 chicken egg rolls, filled with ground chicken and onions; this comes with a side of sweet chili sauce+the #107, the Chin, Nam - comes with brisket and flank, and a generous amount of vermicelli noodles+the #114, which was the Ga (Thit Trang) - comes with shredded all-white chicken meatI usually love the sate sauce, but on recent visits, the flavor of the pho broth and the adding of the sate sauce didn't help much.+friendly service+plenty of parking

Food here was great! I got the chicken laksa, and the portion was plenty and well worth for the meal. I appreciated the chili oil and additional sauces. Food did take a while to come out, but service was nice and quick. Would return!
