I came on a pretty busy Saturday night without a reservation but I was seated pretty quickly. We ordered some hot tea, scallion bubble pancake, Peking duck, calamari, and bbq pork bao buns. Our waitress was really nice and kept checking to make sure everything was going well. At the end, she helped make sure we got all of our food packed to take home. She was also checking the tea pot to make sure it was filled although the place was very busy. This has now become my go-to date night spot. I was blown away by the quality and flavor of everything. The aromatic calamari isn't like the fried calamari at American restaurants, so don't come expecting that, but this was the BEST dish. I was blown away by how tender the squid was and the spicy but umami flavor was amazing. The scallion pancake was a tad oily but still really good. The bao bun is like your typical dim sum steamed bun but it was super moist and fresh. The Peking duck was well presented, easy to assemble, and had the right portion of each element. Definitely coming back again soon.

Never not liked a meal from here.Deriving from parent company, Mama Chang and other Peter Chang's in the area, Peter Chang in McLean stands to be its own Chinese restaurant staple. They have dim sum pretty much every day (not the biggest selection but the ones you just need), their peking duck is really really really good (take it from someone who has been to Beijing and lived in Hong Kong), their mapo tofu is really great, kung pao chicken is different but good as well, and all their dishes are just less greasy Chinese food options. Compared to other ones in the chain, this is my family and my personal favorite one. We always come here for our Chinese food fix and the service is lovely as well (everyone is just super nice). Hidden away in the heart of McLean, definitely come check this place out!

I love this place so much! There are very few places that you can find great Chinese cuisine in the DC metro area, and Peter Chang is one of them. It's good enough to be in NYC. If you go with a large group, they have the lazy Susan tables to spin around the food. They serve a duck spring roll that is to die for. One of their hidden treasures, the eggs and scallion fried rice, is just $8; and my kids are always amazed by the bubble pancakes. There are a few dishes that are delicious but you need a good size party because of how rich the plates are; one of these dishes is the pork belly, great for 5-8 people to try a small piece but too much for one person to eat it. Needing a vegetarian dish? Go for the dragon eggplant. The stir fried baby bok choy is also delish. Pescatarian? SEAFOOD VERMICELLI POT W. MUSHROOM PASTE is the dish for you. You will find a dish for everyone. I can't wait to visit this amazing gem in McLean soon.

We ordered a half of their Beijing duck. There was nothing of the duck leftover between two of us - not a shred of meat nor a single pancake. Their pancakes were super thin and soft - that is a distinguishing feature of their duck. The stir fried pea shoots were cooked perfectly with just the right amount of garlic, and perfectly seasoned. The Beef Chow Fan Noodles were also very good. We also got the Sesame Oil Tofu Skin Salad appetizer, which was also lightly seasoned and not too salty or oily. The interior seating is contemporary and very clean. The service was excellent. We came for lunch on a weekday and were seated immediately.

One of Peter Chang's newer outposts in the DMV region. We came here after learning that reservations at Mama Chang were full. Food is quite good and up to standards, bordering on high end. Portions are reasonable but not generous. Not all the staff speaks Chinese, but they were very friendly and helpful when we requested hot water. If you come here with a big group, I think it would be helpful to have a round table with a lazy Susan in the middle so that everyone can access dishes, rather than push 2 rectangular tables together because it becomes a bit tedious to constantly pass the dishes around. However, this restaurant is overall really family friendly.

Came here with a few friends for dinner. There are so many vegetarian options here, I don't think i've ever been to a Chinese restaurant with this many vegetarian options before. We got a few appetizers, the bubble pancake, tofu skin, and vegan dandan noodles. All were good but the noodles were definitely my favorite. For main meals, we got an eggplant dish and some fried rice. The fried rice wasn't anything too special but the eggplant sauce was so flavorful. There were also a few drink options which were reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is decently sized but still pretty cozy. The staff was super friendly and checked in on us pretty frequently and wasn't rushing us out the door when we finished, which was nice. Would definitely come here again as the menu is pretty huge.

Went in for a quick Sunday lunch and it was excellent! We shared 3 dishes and were quite satisfied by all of the flavors and textures. Our go to at any Chinese restaurant is the string beans. These were nice and spicy and crisp. Szechuan peppercorns possibly added was a delicious surprise. We also ordered a dry pot combination dish which was loaded either many fresh vegetables and had lovely pungent flavors. Yummy. The service was fast and the ambiance was quiet which allowed for easy conversations. Excellent meal!

Food was absolutely delicious! Service was very attentive and smooth. Ambience was lovely. So glad we made a reservation because it was crowded on a Saturday night. Wish I lived closer to get take-out on a regular basis.

Fantastic experience! We love the Chang chain, always a great meal. So happy they opened one in McLean! It was packed, and I'm sure it's always like that. Our server was amazing! Christine took her time with our group and recommended some favorites. We have a vegan in our group so she was very helpful with what she should order as well. Christine really took care of us!Okay so for food. I don't even know where to start. We had a little bit of everything! We started with the scallion pancake, make sure you dip it in the sauce! We got some veggies, the tofu skin salad (wayyy better than I expected !), the pork ribs (a little dry for me), chicken that had a nice kick , and my absolute favorite, the soup dumplings! I get the soup dumplings every time we go to the Chang chain. They are homemade and soo good! Be careful though, that broth inside is HOT, don't burn yourself. You cannot go wrong with anything you order here. Everything is so good! Can't wait to come back.
