I ordered takeout, I tried ordering from the website and every time I selected something it took me all the way back to the top of the page and then I had to hunt through to the menu to find what I was looking for. That aside the food was very good and stands up to the best in the area. Don't forget to ask for rice as the food doesn't automatically come with it. The fried pot stickers were delicious and the sauce that comes with it was thicker and a little spicy which took it to another level. The Mongolian beef only comes in appetizer size so order 2 if you want it for a large meal. The Mongolian beef rivals the best in the area with a good fire kissed wok flavor. The beef lomein was as good as any in the area with large tender pieces of beef. The firecracker salmon rolls were very good with fresh salmon.

I'd actually give it a 4.5 if that was possible. The ambience is lovely; service is very good; food is delicious. My only criticism is that both the soups and the entrees came out at different times. I assume they want everything to be hot when it's served, but I expect that my spouse's food would come out at the same time as mine. We had fried dumplings (10/10), wonton and hot and sour (with shredded duck) soups (10/10), firecracker salmon rolls (10/10), lemoncello shrimp (9/10), shrimp and scallop entree (9/10).Pricier than typical Chinese restaurants, but that's to be expected since it's more upscale. We'll definitely go back!

First time dining in and tried their weekend brunch. Other than waiting a significant amount of time to place an order, the rest of the experience was great. The brunch orders came out in a timely manner and piping hot, especially the soup dumplings and the spicy crispy eggplants. Their chili oil had lots of flavor, loved the seasoning on the scallion pancake, and the duck bone soup was a nice palate cleanser (and huge portion too). Interior decor was bright with lots of windows and natural sunlight. Server was friendly and accommodating. The black sesame egg yolk custard bao was a delicious way to end the meal. Will definitely come back to try their other dishes.

This restaurant is across from my office and super cute interior. Service was good and attentive.Food 4/5-Dim Sum Box 4/5 $18- The box come with 9 variety bite size tapas of dumpling, spring roll. etc.. One box it self will fill you up,It good but nothing amazing that stand out by cute presentation. Mama Braise Pork Belly 5/5- So yummy, sweet and Savory pork belly that melted in your mouth. It doesn't come with rice so you need to order for $1.00. It work so well together with the rice and comforting.Overall I would come back to try other dishes went I am in the office.

Came here last night for dinner and it was just as good as all the other Peter Chang restaurants that we've dined at. Although it wasn't very busy inside, everything came out piping hot and fresh. The service was wonderful--our waitress spoke English, Cantonese, and Mandarin so it was helpful for me and my parents to order. We ordered:- beef chow fun (which is a MUST with all the flavor and wok hei)- Taiwanese popcorn chicken (which is so light and crispy...dare I say this rivals the chicken at 99ranch and Teas n You)- cauliflower and pork belly spicy numbing pot (good, but not super spicy)- spicy pan seared branzino (would only order this for a large group, but it was tasty and cooked perfectly)- braised tofu w/ basil in clay pot (this was my family's favorite. It came with egg tofu, basil, and mixed mushrooms and my family loved this)- cumin spicy diced lamb (this is a must at the Peter Chang restaurants for my family. So well seasoned and delicious)Overall, the service was wonderful, the ambience and decor was lovely, and food was tasty, fresh, and authentic--just like it is at all the other Peter Chang restaurants. As a plus, they had big booths so we could bring my daughter in her car seat. I'm so glad that this restaurant opened up in the neighborhood and I for sure will be back.

Extremely impressed by both the ambiance and quality of food. The Peking duck was on the same level as Beijing 烤鸭 I've had in China, and biting into the crispy skin was the best part. I would recommend a half duck for parties of four or less. The sweet and sour fried fish was a bit too sweet for my taste but had a nice crunch. The beef clay pot and tofu stew were both homey comfort dishes done quite well. Note that they do not offer complimentary rice with dishes unlike most Chinese restaurants. Service is attentive for the most part.

Here for a second time! I enjoyed my experience the first time, but loved my experience this time more. We chose different meal options and I preferred the choices this time. The service was great, and the food came out fairly quick. The ambiance is more elegant, upscale, chic, but still casual. The food was great, but with some dishes they over season it so it's VERY salty. Other items don't have any seasoning so if you're strategic it'll balance out our ghost pepper chicken wings were overly salty. However they sure were hot and tasted good... they just need to cut back on the salt a tad with these. The peeking duck was really good, not dry, juicy and came with a lot. We ordered half the duck, it comes with the sauce, pancakes, and green onions. The combo fried rice was superrrr gooood no complaints! The shrimp I wouldn't get again We ordered: Ghost pepper Chicken wings 8/10Crispy Salt and Pepper shrimp 8/10Half peeking duck 10/10Combo fried rice 10/10Drink: hibiscus tea 20/10

When you don't celebrate a Christian holiday and everything's closed, where do you go? A Chinese restaurant, obviously. My husband and I snagged a noon reservation at the new Peter Chang in Herndon, and let me tell you, it was a feast.First impressions? Stunning! The decor was an absolute vibe--gorgeous colors, tile floors, and an ambiance that says, "Yes, you're about to have a memorable meal." We were greeted, seated, and immediately faced the tough question: how do we NOT order the entire menu? Spoiler alert: we basically did.The table? Packed. Like, "Is this a buffet for two?" packed. Top marks go to the cumin spicy lamb--so flavorful it made my taste buds do a happy dance. Close second was the Peking duck--juicy, crispy, and paired with hoisin sauce that could win awards. Third place? Taiwanese popcorn chicken, which was dangerously addictive. But wait, there's more: Hunan twice-cooked pork belly, shrimp dumplings, pork soup dumplings, cucumber salad, and hot & sour soup with shredded duck. Yes, all that for two people because #HolidayGoals. I washed it down with a refreshing Asian mojito, and honestly, I'm ready to come back for round two.Word to the wise: get there early if you want their dim sum platter box--it was sold out when we arrived. And if you haven't Googled Peter Chang's backstory yet, do yourself a favor. The man's a legend, and now I get it.Thanks, Peter Chang Herndon, for making my Christmas unforgettable--and for the food coma. I'll be back, stretchy pants in tow!

Great service and I love the tapas style so you can get multiple dishes. Perfect spicing here. Most dishes have some kick but nothing that overpowers other flavors like garlic. My favorite dish thus far is cumin spiced lamb. The shredded pork with spicy garlic sauce is also awesome.I'm a tea lover and they do a great job with oolong and jasmine green.Online orders and reservations via Toast.
