Love this place. It's the best Peruvian chicken in the Springfield plaza. The lunch special is pretty good. Unlike a lot of other places, plantains and yuca are not included in the lunch special (which is probably how they keep their prices down) so I went with the rice and beans for a side. Y'all, I had two meals when I walked out. They also don't have chaufa rice which is another one of my favs but their regular rice is delicious and so is their beans. They also have aguas frescas. They have no online presence so I took some pics of the menu to help if you want to plan your order

If there's two types of cuisine that are ubiquitous across the DMV, it's kabobs and Peruvian chicken. I've already started a list profiling various kabob joints ( see my list "Kabob Kompendium") but having sampled various Peruvian chicken joints, there's a relative constant formula for the offerings so I may need to start a new list devoted to them (working title "Peruvian Poultry Potpourri"). Might as well start with a classic generic debut as bland as the name.I will break down the elements into the following categories: 1) Chicken2) Sides 3) Sauces 4) Unique items 5) X-factor1) Chicken- Peruvian chicken (pollo alla brasa) usually is distinguished from traditional rotisserie chicken due to its garlicky, lemon/lime marinade often with a few other signature spices such as cumin, paprika, and oregano. In terms of texture and flavor, I'm not quite sure if the chicken here would be distinguishable from a Costco chicken (which I love, but can get 4.99 for a whole chicken). Marinade likely not aggressive enough. My quarter chicken with sides also arrived lightning fast (within 1 minute of ordering), thereby causing me to question how fresh the chicken was off the rotisserie but good to know if I am in a rush on my lunch break in need of sustenance other than traditional fast food.2)Sides- rice was slightly undercooked in an unpleasant al dente sort of way...probably unforgivable, have also heard the yucca was yucko and the beans are pinto (typically offered as black beans). Salad appears very standard and suspect upcharge for plantains since it is listed separately from the sides on the posted menu (usually standard) so by far the weakest aspect of this joint3)Sauces- usually comes with yellow and green sauce. Never typically been a fan of the yellow sauce since it's essentially a mildly garlicky mayo (as in not garlicky enough) and usually gravitate towards the spicy herbaceous green sauce (strong jalapeno component). The green sauce is more vibrant than most whereas the yellow sauce is even more muted than most.4) Unique items- nice selection of juices (coconut, passion fruit, and horchata) and alfajores as a dessert5) X-factor- again, the lightning quick service and the reasonable price point (less than 8 bucks for generous 1/4 white chicken with 2 sides and a soda) is easy on the budget and for those on the go, but one could definitely do a lot better if looking to enjoy a delicious top notch rendition amongst the plethora of options available in the region. A perfect dead center version to calibrate future Peruvian joints in reviews to come.

Ordering is super simple. I don't think they offer curbside pick up or delivery but i don't mind because they emptied the inside to make social distancing easy when waiting in line. Plus they usually have your food out in under 10 minutes for to go only!! I personally love that they're consistent w their plátanos (never dry or burnt). Also their lunch special is like $9 for 1/4 chicken, 2 sides & a can of soda!!

Ahhh glad I found this place. It's located next to another amazing Peruvian place. You can't go wrong. This place was packed on a random night. I thought the service would reflect on that(which is ok) but right after I grab my chicha and order.....I receive my food. Literally less time than writing this sentence. So I was like "is this s*** cooked? ". "Did you just slaughter the chicken and hand me raw meat? "I know it wasn't completely fresh to my order as it took more time to pay than to receive my food but it all honestly. The chicken was probably just cooked. As I would hope they would be smart enough to keep those chicks coming. So I sit down. Sip my drink. Ahhh it's fresh. None of that watered down, sitting in the fridge for years because no one Peruvian comes to the restaurant type chicha. So step one has been completed. Now they just need to sell sublime Anyways. The portions are average but left me satisfied. Chicken was perfect. Not over seasoned. Not lacking flavor. Just perfect. Now here's where I'll take you for a loop: the fries were better than the yuca....I know right? How does a Peruvian place mess this up? Now I'm not saying the yuca is yucko. I'm just saying the fries were better. ShockingPs sauces were on pointPs I'll be backPs I love Peruvian chicken

It has good reviews so far and my brother in law recommended it but I didn't get the opportunity to try it. We ordered a half chicken and wanted all white meat. The cashier told us there was only dark meat left which seemed weird for a *chicken* place at 7pm on a Friday. We decided we rather go somewhere else if that was the case. We said our thanks and as soon as we turned our backs she asked if we wanted half white and half dark instead. It seems as if they had excess dark meat and wanted to get rid of it by saying that's all they had. I wouldn't even be mad if they charged extra for all white meat. That's understandable, but lying about it is not. It left a bad impression.

I went there last week since I remembered passing by it with my boyfriend & thought to give it a try even though I'm not from Springfield & I go elsewhere to get Peruvian chicken. The cashier was really nice & the price was OK & the food was not bad just a little burnt but I ate it because I was very hungry.

came here with my girlfriend to eat, thinking it was going to be some good chicken. we where highly disappointed of what we received. The yellow sauces was not yellow at all and it was actually mayo. the green sauce was very watery and not spicy. the only thing that was amazing was the horchata.
