Peru's Chicken

O M G the food is spectacular. I got the lomo saltado and it's probably the best lomo saltado I've ever had. The food came out pretty quickly, about 5-10 mins.The seating area is great. I recommend this place if you're having a lunch or dinner anytime soon!

I have always seen this place but never thought to try it. Had a craving for some lomo saltado, they had it on the menu, so why not. Ordered two; one for me and one for the him. It takes ten minutes to make, so I went to grab something from the grocery store next door. It looked like it was a fairly nice potion for the price point, which is less than other restaurants. I noticed that there were smaller pieces of beef and not as many veggies. Also, the French fries were definitely of the frozen ore ida variety. All in all it was okay in a pinch, I didn't mind it. The rice had a great flavor, the beef had a nice flavor too, but needed to be cooked more. The fries were an afterthought. I wish they put in more veggies. The hubs said it was a no go for him...Can't say that I'd come back for this dish.

Peru's Chicken gives such big portions of authentic food! Everything was deliciously seasoned. I literally couldn't decide what to get so I got 3 things that normally don't go together. I wanted the salad to be healthy, the rice because it's just filled with deliciousness and the yucca because it's not quite a fry but it has such a nice little crisp to it! I don't normally sit down in the restaurant - but I did Uber eats and had a delivered to my house and just enjoyed it. The few times I did go in the restaurant everyone was very nice - I had their veggies before too and they're really good I took them to a Christmas party once before. Absolutely better than the bigger chain Peruvian restaurant. I ordered carne asada and pork chop meal.

On my last (and final) visit to Peru's, the person at the register was FLOSSING HIS TEETH when I walked in. He then proceeded to serve the food without washing his hands. That was enough to turn me all the way off. Flossing your teeth around food and then serving food without washing your hands (the hands that were just in your mouth) is a no-no for me.

Chicken is decent, but I've had better. The sides were garbage. I got the creamed spinach which was salty and watery and not creamy at all. Coleslaw was gross. It was warm and tasted like someone added only mayo and sugar. Service is just average. The people who work there are just there. The establishment could be cleaner. Disappointed.

Found this place on Upside. Very much a carry out though you can sit inside and eat. Nice Spanish speaking staff. I got a half chicken and you get two sides so I got the green beans and the creamed spinach. Chicken decently priced and you get a big juicy piece. Oooo it's seasoned well but not as good as my fave Peruvian place "chicken and whiskey". I got the yellow sauce and it's nasty. Don't mess with that sauce. The green beans are out of this world with onions and it's so flavorful. They give you a healthy portion. Creamed spinach was watery but decent.

Buckle your seat for this one.I went inside to pickup an online order. I showed my online order code and name with ID to further confirm. Mind you, a (pickup) online order that was already placed. (Meaning already paid for.) My order was ready for pickup. I just need to pick it up. How hard is it to pass me my order of bags that are literally behind you? This order was $97-$100 of food. (Meaning you can't miss me and my order that's taking up the counters behind the register. Again, I showed my order code and ID and the older Asian man with a salt and pepper goatee ignored my presence and did not want to hand me my order... so my wife spoke up and said "hey, our order is right there behind you, how hard is it to hand us our food?" Another man had to come from the back of the store to see what's the problem and asked us what's the name of the order and I told him and he handed us our order. See, it was that easy and simple. :)To top off all of the disrespect my wife and I received today, 10/19/24. The rude man asked me when I showed him our online order code that was paid for and ready to be picked up, mind you... and he said "well how do I know you even paid for this?" My guy, I'm showing you my ID AND ORDER CODE WITH MY NAME duhhh. Just give me my damn (BAGS) of food! He even put another customer before us that was in line after us who placed his order in store. (Mind you again, my order was placed online so that my wife and I can just walk in show proof and go.) It's supposed to be THAT SIMPLE and that professional. I'll never be putting anymore money into this business again.

The customer service is absolutely appalling and disgusting! Me and my husband always spend a lot of money ordering at Peru's Chicken but we won't be ever again. The cashier which was an older Asian man with facial hair ignored my husband when he was showing him our order which we placed on Uber Eats for pickup which was rude and disrespectful. I spoke up loudly and had to address that we are picking up an order to the rude cashier. All the cashier had to do was hand us our order that we already paid for through Uber Eats but instead we were accused of not paying for our food and another customer was put before us when we were already in line before them! That is outrageous and disgusting. The manager had to come out and asked us what order we are picking up, my husband showed him our order and the manager had no issue giving us our already paid for food. Me and my husband were openly humiliated and accused of not paying for food we ordered through Uber Eats even when we showed a confirmation of that we did pay and our order was ready for pickup. Yet the Asian man cashier didn't give the Caucasian women picking up her order any issues and was practically kissing the floor for her. Me and my husband refuse to be treated poorly and racially profiled because we are people of color, so we will be taking our money to a business that values us and treats us with respect. Came here after a long day at 6 flags and had the best Peruvian food I've ever had. I ordered the chicken bowl and it was delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly the tomato was juicy and was enough to fill me up for the rest of the day and for a very affordable price. Will 100% come here again.
