I had such a craving for Pappas crabcakes but the crabcake at National Harbor was disappointing, it tasted nothing like the ones I had in Glen Burnie, MD. It was mushy, flavorless and lukewarm. The seafood salad was amazing, so much flavors. The cashier was friendly, it located in a food court environment.

Pappas is located in the MGM resort Hotel Food Court. There were no signs inside the casino from what I could see, so I had to ask for directions. I found the restaurant located outside of the casino in the food court next to a pizza spot. The restaurant has a walk-up counter to order food. Seating is open for all the restaurants. The menu is limited to a few items. Pappas Crab cakes offers crab balls, shrimp platters, fish and chips, Jumbo crab cake platters, and a few sides like old bay fries and coleslaw. It is odd to have a bunch of expensive restaurants in a food court, but some folks don't need to have an entire dining experience to eat good food. We just wanted a good crab cake in between losing money at the casino. My husband and I both ordered their Jumbo crab cake platter, which came with old bay fries and coleslaw. The 8 oz crab cakes were delicious, full of crabmeat, and very little filler. The fries were nice and crispy. Old bay makes everything taste better.Crabmeat is not cheap, so expect to pay for what you are getting. As a Baltimore native I give this spot 2 thumbs up.

Lumpy crab cakey goodness! It's huge! With big chunks of crab meat and little filler, what you really taste is the quality of the crab. And that's all you want to taste. The remoulade is also delicious, but the lump crab cake pairs nicely with just a little bit of lemon.Service is quick. Parking is plentiful, as is seating in the food court area. The tall tables and bar stools are surprisingly comfortable.

Delicious meal very expensive and steadily rising in cost but definitely a delectable option.

Inside MGM's food court, I've been eyeing this place for a while. Their food was absolutely DELISH! Perfectly fried soul food fritters. We got their crab fries, crispy shrimp basket, fried oysters, hush puppies, and clam chowder. Crispy shrimp basket was fried deliciously with cocktail sauce on the side. Their hush puppies and fried oysters were great too- perfect amount of batter, not too little, not too much. The crab fries were alright. It was the thing I was most looking forward to and it was good but mostly cheese sauce with a little cajun powder and bits of crab here and there. My favorite ended up being their clam chowder soup which was OUTTA THIS WORLD! So creamy buttery and rich. I could go back just for it.Overall, I'd definitely get the crispy shrimp basket, hush puppies and clam chowder soup again along with trying their other crab entrees.

We stopped in MGM just to eat. We went on a Sunday so a few of the restaurants were closed. We decided to choose different restaurants in the Marketplace- my friend chose Shake Shack and I decided to go for Pappas. I asked if there was a lot of filler and the cashier said no and most folks get the signature sandwich. I really enjoyed the crab cake sandwich. It was a nice size with minimal filler. They came with fries and the fries could have been fried a little harder but the old bay spice on the fries was a nice touch. I would purchase again.

I'm not sure if this is a part of the Pappas in Cockeysville, (I asked a person working there and they didn't know.) but the 8 oz crab cake we had was not good at all. It was undercooked mushy in the middle and tasted off, like the crab was old or something and not at all like the the other Pappas. We also had the clam chowder which was ok at best. The only reason I gave this place a 2 star rating was because of the fries (5 stars). For 50 bucks, with tip included I expected it to be at least as good as the world famous Pappas in Cockeysville Maryland. As a matter of fact I would go so far to say that it's doing the originals a huge disservice by sharing the same name. I can recommend the crab cake to any of my friends.

TERRIBLE!Can they really call themselves having a crab place? Is there seasonings? Nice employees but the food NEGATIVE. Better off starving or driving somewhere else. Everything sucked.

They need Fresh food!!!! Was served old dry crab cakes that had been sitting out...didn't notice until I was home. This place has gone downhill. The shrimps were battered in what taste like hush puppies batter making them too sweet, who wants sweet fried shrimp. I won't be returning!!!

Too pricey at the national harbor. I expected the store to have more seafood options.
