Papa's Liquor

Rude customer service. Waited in line and the clerk checked out a man in front of me. He asked the man how his day was, and was super sweet. When it was my turn I got none of that and felt rushed to leave the store. The man in front of me was a different race than me and I hope that wasn't the reason- but if you have manners, why aren't all customers deserving of it? Over priced and rude.

He has everything you could ever ask for, plus an amazing and welcoming personality. If you want to feel like you're liquor store is more fun than the club that you're going to, then come to Papa's liquor store on Macomb Street!!

Small shop but GREAT selection of bourbon. High prices like everywhere in DC, but all the best single barrel and small batch brands. I even saw a couple bottles of pappy, but could not bear to ask how much. I think the owner is from Eastern Europe, he was eating lunch when I came in and it smelled AMAZING.

The year is 1996. I do not have a driver's license. I am not old enough to drink alcohol legally. I borrow a friend's parent's minivan (I don't actually know this friend's address or last name, so perhaps, she's not so much a friend, as a girl who crazily let me borrow her van) to go to Papa's (it was called a few names ago differently). We purchased a large quantity of alcohol. He gave us a good deal (as we were purchasing a large quantity of alcohol). We drove home, and sped, just to do it.I heard they got busted for selling to minors. I can't imagine...

Poor, overpriced selection, better off going to Giant for any beer needs.And for liquor, you'd be better of walking the extra blocks to Burka's, which has a better and lower-priced selection of stuff.

Really really expensive. 12-pack of Yuengling for 12.99? Give me a break. Dude knows his prices suck, too, because he doesn't put them on anything. On the other hand, if you want to throw your money away, he's really nice so you'll get plenty of help in doing so.

Papas is the best liquor store in the DMV. Best service and selection and vibes

This place is the most expensive place I've seen in DMV area. If you drive for couple of minutes from this place, you can get your liquor for 60% of their price. peace.

Nice little neighborhood mom and pop shop. Owner is friendly and helpful. Great place to pick up a bottle or wine before dinner or something to stock the liquor cabinet. Convenient location for those in the neighborhood or nearby for dinner.
