What a nice local spot. This has been around some time. If you want a friendly truly family place, definitely consider this. The staff here are fantastic. You'll definitely like the cozy atmosphere. Lots of regulars for a reason. The sandwiches and gyros are very tasty. They have quite an extensive menu. Even the most picky eater, will find something here. Lots of choices, and many recipes from all eras. I like this place a lot. Pan Am Shopping Center parking lot, can be a frustrating experience. Yet going here it's worth it. Every visit has been a pleasant one.

Ordered from here once 4 years ago & was blown away by their moussaka & tiramisu. Decided to dine in with my hubby & kids & was again blown away...but by how awful it is. We got...-greek salad: basically a huge plate of iceberg lettuce with tiny sprinkle of feta cheese & ranch dressing (should be a vinaigrette). Not even reminiscent of a proper Greek salad.-stuffed cabbage: this was not bad & was generously stuffed with meat. The problem is it was still frozen in the middle. Came with cauliflower & a side salad. I asked for balsamic vinaigrette, but they gave me ranch. -chicken tenders (kids menu): Came with fries. This was probably the best tasting thing, so kudos to where they source their frozen chicken tenders.-grilled cheese (kids menu): the bread was crisped nicely & American cheese was melty but the whole thing tasted old. like it was left out in the fridge without a container & absorbed the "fridge" taste...not sure how else to describe it. -spaghetti & meatballs (kids menu): the tomato sauce was spoiled & sour. We were the only ones there at 6:30 pm on a saturday evening. Space is huge & there is a stage for live performances. I can see how this place could be popping 20 years ago. Sadly, its just dated now. Also, I want to add that we are not overly picky eaters, even my kids. They'd usually devour pasta & grilled cheese in a second, but they refused to touch any of it. We really wanted to love this place & support this small business. Unfortunately won't be back.

Solid food overall. Had the veal parmigiana over spaghetti. Garlic bread was great. Salad was good very basic. I did not get the Italian vibe but ok. This place has been here forever. Just a tad salty, I think it was the mozzarella. Red sauce was palatable. 3.5 s

I really wanted to like this family restaurant. The portions are huge but the taste was meh.The baked ziti was on sweet side, my feta & spinach omelette a bit greasy, the bacon (a whole pound) was crunchy crisp like deep fried but the home fries were not crispy at all - just not the best execution.Maybe we just didn't pick the better menu items - like French toast - but limited breakfast menu during dinner.

This restaurant is near my home. It has recently (~ 5 months ago) changed hands and improved though the menu has been shortened. The place is clean and the food is good Prices are very reasonable.

We have been living in Fairfax for almost one month and it was bound to happen that we would run into a restaurant that we would not write home about. It was an exciting evening as the family took a trip to Micro Center, a place from our childhood, sharing it with our 10 year old son. We surveyed the local restaurants and our son pronounced "I want a burger" and I pronounced "I just need food" -- we looked up quick reviews and headed across the parking to Pan Am Restaurant. I had high hopes! We entered, felt like a little mom and pop place, got menus and ordered. Mind you I was about to eat my arm off, and the service felt SO SLOW. I remained patient.Ordred:Lasagna- it was so sweet and my son barely ate it - very odd flavor profile.Salisbury Steak - this was SO disappointing. It was a very well done hamburger patty with a side of fries (husband ate about 1/2 of it)Gyro salad- Literally a bed of iceberg lettuce, heave dressing in the middle (asked for it on the side) with 2 thin tomato slices, a few greek olives (they had their pits still!!), a smidge of feta and some onions with a ton of gyro meat on top.Fries- I ordered a side of fries and glad I did - my son ate mostly fries for dinner because the Lasagna was not too good.Total= $60.00 SHOCKING- for what we ate and the price there was a complete disconnect. Yup, this one was a dud.ps- there as also a disconnect with the name of the place. On the outside it said "Pan Am" but on the window and everything else inside it says Mykonos Grill..... hmmmm...

First time customer. We've seen this business for years and finally decided to try it. Sunday brunch food was good, but there was no kids menu. While atmosphere is kid-friendly/family-friendly, the pricing of menu options were not. Service was great. Note: This business passes the 3% card surcharge to the customer. Total bill for family of 4 is $94. Nearly $100 for brunch did not seem worth it for 2 adults, a 7 and 9 year old. Would recommend this business provide kid-friendly options in the future...

This restaurant appears to have been taken over by new owners and management. We have been long time customers and are glad to see that the food and service remain great. They now advertise as having a Latin theme, but most of the old favorite standard menu options are still available. We ate there today and were impressed with the steak sandwich (stuffed with real steak), gyro salad (huge portion of gyro meat), and quesadilla (lots of tasty chicken and cheese). Their pizza is also amazing & super cheesy. Prices are very reasonable. The refurbished restaurant now has a liquor license and small bar for those who enjoy a drink. There appears to be a small stage at the front now, but I don't know what type of music performances they offer. This is an unassuming-looking place in the Pan Am Shopping Center at the corner of Nutley and Rt 29 and is a hidden gem. Give it a try!

I was reluctant to go since it was under new management after going there for decades. The food was excellent as well as the service The prices are still very reasonable and the serving portions are still very large. I plan on continuing to be a customer. Great 80's music played at a nice volume as well.
