If your mom cooks like this, you better count your blessings for this lip-smacking experience! The staff that greeted me at the entrance mentioned that they do take reservations for Friday and Saturday nights because they are quite busy. So, I sat at the bar. I was welcomed by the bartender and was given two menus. I looked over the menus quickly and asked for a Tito's and Sprite to start. The bartender was busy, so a gentleman, who seemed to be the owner, asked me if I was ready. I told him yes and that it was my first time there. I also asked him if I could order their Melitzanosalata and Paidakia Appetizer (Lamb Chops). Which he helped me to pronounce correctly. Neither one have I tried before. The Melitzanosalata was tasty, and as a reminder, if you don't eat all the bread, save it. You will need it for your main course or in my case, their meat appetizer. Now that item Paidakia Appetizer (Lamb Chops), was Omg mind-blowingly delicious. The flavor, taste, juiciness and the ability to actually hit Medium on this kind of meat was on point!!! Their asparagus was not some flimsy style that you see in restaurants of lower caliber. It was the big, thick kind that was nicely prepared and you could crunch into it. Just the appropriate level of seasoning to bring out the flavor of the meat. A little extra broth allowed me to put that extra bread to use. Wiped the plate clean! Highly recommend this item for the ladies or for anyone that is not trying to take the whole lamb, their main entree, in one sitting. Bariatric foodies will enjoy this as well. From wine, to delicious libations, this is definitely a place to come and just enjoy delicious food, conversation and fellowship with this you know and those you don't know. From the hostesses, to the servers, to the crew that provides water and takes your plates, it shows the attention to detail shines through that the owners are thinking about the customer.PositivesI loved that the owner / or manager was consistently walking around and checking in the guests to ensure everything was ok. This restaurant was one of the tastiest and best money I have spent in a very long time!Kudos to the owner! I will be back with friends! And a Note for visitors, there is No cost to park in the parking garage around the corner. Parking on the street outside of the restaurant is nonexistent due to all the other restaurants that are there. Parking is like a two minute walk. The bar and restaurant does not have TV's which was pleasantly surprising which provides guests an opening to experience the food and conversation without the distraction of a tv. Quick Notes for the manager / owner. I was not provided a run down of the daily specials or drinks, that I noted, the bartender did provide to other customers after me. I was not sure if there were desserts to partake of because it was not mentioned either. I was full so I didn't ask, but would have liked to see the options for desserts because my friends can put some food away, including desserts. The bartender, when I asked for the check, ended up giving me two postcards. One for the check and one when I cashed out. I'm not sure if that was normal because this could impact the owners overhead costs. Other than that, I so appreciated my time at this restaurant.

I was a solo dinner seeking a table for one and they sat me. Let's talk about my recent experience with Greek food that, quite frankly, left me wondering if "fresh" was just a suggestion. I ordered lamb, but when it arrived, it was so lukewarm, I thought maybe it had just been airlifted from a fridge to a 30 second microwave, and then on its way to my table. So, naturally, I sent it back, hoping for some warmth--because, you know, that's what hot food should have. When it came back, well, it still had the same "room temperature" charm. But hey, I was hungry, so I ate it anyway, giving "meh" a whole new meaning. But the real kicker? The manager, who decided to go full Greek drama on me, practically shouted that the food was indeed fresh--freshly made, not pre-cooked, and definitely not sitting around. His tone was so harsh I half-expected him to break into a monologue about the tragic downfall of Greek cuisine. I was honestly in shock. I wasn't asking for a speech, just for my food to be hot.To top it all off, my waiter was a one-man show, juggling drinks at the very busy bar while taking order fat my table. I get it, multitasking is hard, but I wasn't in a rush. That said, when the food finally did arrive, it had a chill vibe that didn't exactly scream "cooked to order."Would I go back? Absolutely not. Between the lukewarm lamb, the yelling manager, and the painfully slow service, I've learned my lesson: there's plenty of other places that believe in both fresh food and a healthy dose of customer service. This place? Not so much.

This place is so good and has so many good Greek options! For the meal, my friends and I shared a bunch of items. We got the flaming cheese, spanakopita, zucchini fritters, three spreads (eggplant one is our favorite), steak skewers and grilled octopus. Everything was wonderful! The service was great and quick! We had to catch a show and received everything with plenty of time to go somewhere else before our show. The ambiance is great. There is a blue and white theme to the whole place. You can still hear your friends and are well spaced out from other tables. Definitely come here if you're a fan of Greek food!!

We decided to come here for brunch on a Saturday and it was pretty empty so we were able to get a seat quickly. I got the Loumidis Greek coffee and it was really just a small cup, like an espresso cup, so I would have not gotten that again and I would have gone with the drip. The prices are expensive and I was not that hungry, so I got the bacon which was not bad. I just would not go back since it is pricier than other options in the area.

I absolutely love the inside decorations. It was a really beautiful Greek classy summer outdoor vibe.My group got drinks and appetizers and everyone loved what they got! I tried one of the beers on the menu and was really pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I also got the fava appetizer, which is pretty similar to hummus but slightly different. I was happy with how much I got, but I will note that some of the entrées at the table were on the relatively small size, especially for the price. Just make sure that you know that this restaurant is a bit more on the expensive end, but you are getting that price back in the ambience and vibe. All of the staff were really helpful in creating a table big enough for our party and they made sure we were taken care of the whole time.

A very cute restaurant in shirlington. Bar service was a little slow, though our food orders came very quickly! I had the power salad, which was delicious but... The dressing was described as "delicate" and I think it was a little too delicate even for me, and I usually prefer less is more with my salad dressing. My partner loved the beef stew, said it reminded him of winter nights at home. There were so many yummy menu items that I definitely plan to return and taste.

Picked up food to go here recently. For some reason there was a struggle to find my online order. I received email confirmation and saw a pending charge on my credit card but the restaurant staff were unable to locate it. I showed multiple staff screenshots/emails from my phone. The manager even took pictures. After a bit of a wait, they located it and started cooking. They were nice and the food was good. I haven't eaten in at this location before but I remembered enjoying my meal at the Mosaic location. I'll give them another shot! Cool location in Shirlington.

This was a solid experience. It's slightly pricey for the ambiance but the food is fantastic. If you decide to go, rest assured there's plenty of free parking in the numerous nearby garages. The staff was very friendly, and the food was great. It was my first time but I'll definitely be going back. A keeper. We started with an appetizer and the three spreads option seemed like a good way to go. We got the fava, skordalia, and the melitzanosalata. All three were very good. For a main meal I tried the kotopoulo fileto, which did not disappoint. So much flavor. My wife actually decided to go vegetarian and tried the vegetarian platter, which she absolutely loved. For dessert we tried the loukoumades, which were not bad but I'm sure there are better options. All in all a great place.

3.5 stars? Rounding up because of the appetizers. Prices for most lunch dishes were around $30 but there were several lower priced options. It helped that the aps are so filling that you can get several of those and call it lunch. The zucchini fritter balls were amazing! Extra points for a nice presentation.I got a salad for the main, plus two sides; the zucchini fritter balls (Kolokithokeftedes), and stuffed grape leaves (Dolmades Yalantzi). The salad had more oil than I preferred but I loved the rest. I do wish the prices were just a tad lower, but I'd still go back.

I'm updating my review by one star because my latest dining experience here was definitely more enjoyable than the last. I think the big thing at Eugenia is picking the right dishes for you. It's mostly a small plates type of restaurant, and those can get pricey. If you don't like your dish, it feels like a waste of money. We did a great job ordering this time! It's still expensive, but when you enjoy every dish you get it helps! I highly recommend the melitzanosalata (eggplant tomato dish), the kolokithakia (beer-battered zucchini slices), the kotopoulo souvlaki (chicken skewers), and the grilled octopus. Order some wine and have a good time!
