Open City At the National Cathedral

This place is super cute however, their menu consistently has the wrong information. I'll attempt to order something and they will say they no longer carry the item or are out of stock... Why not take it off the menu? Overall is a cute cafe to stop by and the food is pretty good but I hope this fix that minor inconvenience.

Open city is the only way to start my morning here at work gotta love the Coffee and breakfast here. I service is always quick and easy even when they have a line this place has a nice warm feeling like you're in a small little cottage out in the woods. Love this place.

Hated the food, LOVED the location. Next time I go, I will not get the egg & cheese biscuit, and that is okay! There are way more things to try on the menu. The iced coffee was good at least. On the flip side, this is the perfect location for romanticizing life by studying, reading, or even chatting it up in this gorgeous space. There are beautiful stained glass windows and it is 100% worth it to stop by the National Cathedral on the way out. The service was friendly as well!

Stopped in with friends before worship at the National Cathedral. What a secret treasure! I've been to the cathedral several times, but never to this cafe. Had an iced chai latte and the yogurt parfait (which I apparently devoured beforetaking a photo). Friendly staff, great coffee shop vibe and you can explore the beautiful cathedral grounds while you sip your latte - perfection!

Perfect place to stop and get a bite to eat when visiting the National Cathedral. Large menu to select from, friendly staff, buss your dishes afterwards.

I love it here. It's the cutest little prime location cafe in DC. It's right next door to the National Cathedral and garden and there is a beautiful skylight that shines into the cafe. I have never tried anything that wasn't good from here and I have easily been 20x. I highly recommend their matcha and blueberry muffins but their egg sandwiches are also great. Highly highly recommend! Make sure you go earlier in the AM to avoid any crowds though!

One of the most beautiful locations and coffee shops I have been in. The staff was friendly and the coffee was so good! We also shared the grilled cheese which was on a challah bread, that was really good. Definitely worth a visit!!

This review is more for the vibe than the actual food/drink. Sitting outside here on a Sunday is absolutely perfect. It's serene, peaceful, and I honestly forgot I was in DC. The outdoor patio area is so comfy and I can't wait to go back.They were out of espresso which was tragic. I had tried to order their speciality halva latte but since they didn't have espresso, the worker offered to make me an iced coffee with the syrups but it was kinda just bland and I couldn't taste the syrup.

Lots of tables with WiFi. Good area to work at. There's at least one outlet at one of the side tables. Also has outdoor seating and located next to a garden if you want to take your coffee out there!Coffee was bold even as a latte which I really liked. Quick service. Lots of pastry options.There were some small birds that flew in. Wasn't bad but just of note.Would definitely come back!

This is a cool open city location inside the national cathedral grounds. I tried the smoked salmon bagel and the chai tea latte. The bagel was massive - could easily feed 2 and the chai was flavorful and delicious as well. They had a long line of customers on a beautiful spring Saturday, but the service was quick and friendly, as they kept the line moving. There were plenty of available tables inside and outside, but I chose to walk the groups and sit outside in the garden in the back. I would love to come back and WFH or bring a book to read.
