Omari’s Music Bar

This spot has been on my list for a while so I'm glad I finally made it! Omari's is an intimate restaurant with so much flavor. It reminds me of a spot I would run in to while on vacation in central/south america; the colors, the vibes, the menu. We sat at the bar and got to meet Chef K! She's super cool and her team/staff is A-1. The food is so good. I really like their jerkyaki wings and grilled chicken tacos. Their tacos are made with wonton wrappers. They can get messy but are delicious. The drinks are specially curated, some like no other. It seems like smoked cocktails are their specialty and they do a really good job at it. Definitely try the smoked money.

A few of my friends and I decided to stop by based on recent instagram posts and were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance and food. They have 3 stories and the decor is favorable. The restaurant also has a cool food elevator that assists with service. We truly enjoyed the wings, salmon bites, artichoke dip, cocktails, and the desserts. Many also said the corn appetizer was tasty.Though they need more assistance with staffing and a full time bartender, it's definitely worth going to support a black woman owned business

My friend was raving about Omari and I took her here for her birthday. It was really quiet on the Sunday we went and we sat upstairs. The upstairs is cute and well decorated. They started us off with the popcorn which was delicious they added some seasoning and something sweet, it was great! The wings were delicious and they were seasoned well. I didn't care too much about the tacos. I can't remember which tacos I got, maybe the jerk chicken ones. The drink was nice too! They were so sweet and also gave us a shot for my friend's birthday. The owner came and introduced herself and overall was very sweet! I definitely enjoyed my time here. They even have the sauces they use online to order which I liked. I think it's worth coming to for a nice vibe!

Are they still open? Google says business hours was updated ten weeks ago but no answer on the number listed and no active website.

I'm so glad to have found this place! A hidden gem on Georgia Ave. My mother in law is a regular and brought us all along. Chef Kay, is super creative with her cuisine, pulling flavor inspirations from all over the world. The best thing about Omaris is the use of fresh ingredients in a scratch kitchen. My faves were the crab Rangoons and the agave wings!!!The ambiance is welcoming!

Easily one of the best restaurants in D.C. Everything is farm to table, locally sourced. It is also all made from scratch, down to the chips, the boba, everything. Nothing frozen, all fresh. And you can taste it! The food is so amazing. They have several vegan options as well, and mostly everything can be made vegan since its all freshly made. The ambiance is very cute, perfect for a brunch or a birthday dinner. The service is 10/10 as the staff is so kind and the food is cooked with so much love. I will be back very very soon.

So confused how this isn't on everyone's Top DC list! Some of the best quality food I've had in the city. It's unique, the decor was beautiful. We went for a celebration dinner, the staff went above and beyond with service, presentation and the drinks were so fire. I got the Jeriaki wings, I'm picky with wings but they were clean to the bone, sauce wasn't overpowering or too sweet and it wasn't super heavy. Loved the popcorn snack, so unique. Definitely my new spot to show off to others.

Had the BEST experience at Omari's! Needed to make a reservation for 15 and they were quick to accommodate. We had the crab Rangoon's, agave breakfast, salmon bites, and shrimp and grits and everything was AMAZING! It was very obvious that there was a lot of thought put behind every dish. We also got a few cocktails and mocktails and were very pleased! I highly recommend Omari's!

This is a great spot for a nice relaxing meal. I came with my sister and it was a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Our server, Kamia, was very kind and attentive and gave us a nice rundown of the restaurant and their services. They host events and have take out options which would be convenient. While we looked over the menu she brought us some complimentary popcorn which was seasoned with the chef's own seasoning which she even sells online. It was delicious, as were all of the food and drinks that we ordered. I got the strawberry drop which wasn't too sweet and had a nice balance between alcohol and the strawberry puree (which was made in house according to our server). My sister had a mocktail called Blue Island from their menu and thought it was great. We ordered the breakfast tacos, (made with turkey sausage and egg), the chicken jerkyaki tacos and the curry chicken pot pie, all of which were delicious. The tacos came as a set of 3. We had wanted some salmon bites but apparently they and run out as they were really popular. So popular and someone that had them the day before allegedly came back for more. They do have a number of vegetarian options. One thing I appreciated besides the service was the quality and freshness of everything. My sister had originally ordered another mocktail that had mint but was notified that since it was starting to go bad it would be left out of the drink. How many other places would have just kept it in and not said anything?! We got some wings to go and they were promptly made and packaged for us. On the way out we met one of the chefs Trina and it was nice to get a chance to let her know how great our experience was. If I'm in the neighborhood I'll definitely make sure to stop by again.
