I had an amazing experience at Olio e Più! From start to finish, everything was exceptional.Amber and Ramon provided outstanding service -- attentive, friendly, and made sure every detail of our meal was perfect. The atmosphere was lovely, with great music that added to the ambiance without overpowering conversation. The food was delicious, especially the steak and octopus carpaccio -- both cooked and seasoned to perfection. Each bite was a delight!A special shoutout to Nathan, the sommelier, whose insight and recommendations truly elevated our dining experience. His knowledge and passion for wine were evident, and he helped us select the perfect pairings to complement our meal.If you're looking for a restaurant with top-notch service, mouthwatering dishes, and a well-curated wine selection, Olio e Più is a must-visit. I can't wait to return!

Came to Olio e Piu for Valentine's day and had a great time. When we initially walked in we weren't greeted for awhile, which was kind of weird since there were workers that saw us, but that is my only negative about my experience. The interior was romantic and perfect for a date night. We ordered the polpetinne appetizer which was hands down my favorite part of my meal. It was delicate, flavorful and delicious! Our entrees of the cavatelli pasta was also amazing!

I went as a favor with my daughter because her last experience at this restaurant didn't go well. She had explained to me that she had been invited back with a guest. I asked her what she had during her last meal and had looked at previous reviews. So my meal was going to be the salmon. Though the salmon by itself maybe considered bland, ( cooked medium with pink center) it was paired with a side potato dish which complimented each bit. Let me back up a bit the appetizers Beretta and calamari both were perfect. The breads were fresh and the olive oil was amazing. The olives were great. It was good to see that the calamari and shrimp were served hot. The service was impeccable (attentive but not too much, for our water glasses were filled often) now onto the desserts. My daughter had Olive cake. She said it was bit heavy and quite a bit for one person, but she liked it. I had tiramisu, was very good and could also be shared. The ambience was quaint and even though they were busy, we had time to talk about us on this Sunday evening in Downtown DC.

It was a great night with friends. The location is beautiful, and it looks like it has a good bar scene. The service was excellent. The food was all fantastic. The gluten-free pasta was also just perfect. I had the shrimp past and enjoyed it very much.Everyone was delighted. The wines are all Italian, and the Som made great recommendations. The only negative is that the place is noisy but mostly manageable. The other thing that gets under my skin is the surcharge. That should be illegal. Just tell me the damn price of the food without sneaking in a surcharge at the end. The place is not cheap, so I doubt 3% is making a difference, so why not be honest? I only took off one star because the place was great, but frankly, the restaurant lied about the surcharge.

Excellent Italian dining in the heart of DC! We went here before a show at The National Theater and it was a perfect choice! Our server was very accommodating in helping us get to our show on time. We tried a wide range of the pasta dishes and all of them were excellent! The price was also very reasonable for a high end restaurant in an expensive part of the city.

Olio e Più's exterior is so unassuming that I didn't even notice it until I saw a crowd of people spilling inside at lunchtime. That seemed like a good sign, so I decided to give it a shot during restaurant week. We enjoyed our meal so much that we're already back for a second visit. The restaurant is conveniently located near the White House in DC, with easy access to public transportation. While street parking is difficult to find, there are plenty of parking garages nearby. The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere, featuring earthy tones and vintage touches on the walls. As soon as you walk in, you'll spot a full bar welcoming you.The noise level at Olio e Più varied depending on the seating area, background music, and the crowd. When the restaurant was full, with louder music and the sounds of the open kitchen, it was a bit challenging to have a conversation. However, when we dined for lunch on a quieter Monday, the atmosphere was much more peaceful. The menu is so extensive that it will likely take several visits to sample everything. The food stands out for its freshness, complex flavors, vibrant presentations, and authentic Italian taste.Every dish we tried was incredible. Here are a few highlights and must-try recommendations from our experience.INSALATA DI SPINACIBaby spinach, crumbled Castelrosso cheese, shaved almonds, diced pears, and champagne dressing. The mix of textures and flavors was absolutely delightful, really waking up my taste buds and sparking my appetite.INSALATA FRESCATomatoes, cucumber, basil, olives, EVOO, croutons, and a balsamic glaze. This dish was as colorful as it was refreshing--healthy, appetizing, and a perfect light starter.BURRATA MEDITERRANEOFresh burrata, cherry tomatoes, basil pesto, Ligurian olives, balsamic, and focaccia. The dish had a wonderfully fresh and light flavor, perfectly balanced with the creamy burrata and tangy accents.BRUSCHETTA AL POMODOROA crostone of bread topped with burrata cream, fresh tomatoes, and basil. It was delicious! My only suggestion would be to place the arugula on top of the tomatoes rather than underneath the bread--it would add more volume and better complement the flavors.VITELLO TONNATOA classic Italian dish of thinly sliced veal topped with a creamy tuna sauce. With bold, distinctive flavors, we enjoyed the lingering aftertaste that stayed with us long after the first bite.TAGLIATA DI MANZORibeye, arugula, cherry tomatoes, marble potatoes, and salsa verde. I ordered it medium, and it arrived off the grill with tantalizing flavors. It tasted as good as it looked! We loved it--almost perfect, though I'd suggest a little less salt.SCALOPPINE DI POLLO AI FUNGHII don't usually order chicken dishes, but the red and yellow pepper stew made the chicken incredibly tender, juicy, and flavorful. I was surprised at how delicious chicken can be--this was hands down the best chicken I've ever had.FUSILLI CINGHIALE E FUNGHIPork and wild boar ragu with mixed mushrooms and tomato sauce. The texture was unique, the flavors subtle yet satisfying, and it wasn't overly salty. Freshly cooked with an authentic, non-commercial taste. My favorite desserts are:PERA AL VINOPoached pear in wine, vanilla mascarpone cream, and orange zest. It was so unique and refreshing! I went back for more on my second visit, but it wasn't on the regular menu. I was told Olio e Più often features special menus for restaurant week and holidays, so I'll be keeping an eye out for this one!EXOTIC PANNA COTTAVanilla Bourbon panna cotta with pineapple brunoise and passion fruit sauce. The texture was wonderfully creamy and smooth, with bright, lemony flavors. We absolutely loved it.TORTA CAPRESEA flourless chocolate cake with vanilla chantilly and pistachio ice cream. The portion was generous enough to share, and it wasn't overly sweet--just perfectly balanced. There are so many delicious dishes that we'll definitely need to return for more. No matter what we order, we know we can always count on freshness and flavor!

Olio e Più for Restaurant Week was fabulous, and here are the reasons why: - The staff was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service and recommendations. - From their RW menu, I selected the following items:I started with the leek and potato soup, which was perfectly creamy and very satisfying. For the main course, I had the pan-seared salmon with crunchy vegetables. This dish was delicious, though I felt it could have used a bit more salt. Lastly, for dessert, I ordered the poached pear in wine with vanilla ice cream. It was good, but nothing particularly special.Overall, I had a wonderful experience and am already looking forward to my next visit.
